I remember when my mom bought me this game in 1998. I was in 3rd or 4th grade and I thought "mom, I have never even heard of this game." Well a week later she couldnt get me off the computer cause I was always playing this game. She would be like "10 more minutes" and I would just agree but it would turn into another 2 hours really fast. Man, this game was addicting but so damn fun.

So glad that this was used a little bit in Civilization IV for Mao Zedong's theme, it was nowhere to be heard in Civilization III.

I was ill prepared for how awesome (read addictive) this game was at the tender age of 11, but after crafting my glorious throne room full of 256 colour-pimpness, and laughing at those goofy FMV advisors as they "advanced" through dress attire. I finally beat Cleopatra in what was a cross millennial battle for world dominance. Yes I stood over her her scorched earth with my hundreds of tanks, ski patrol units and guerrilla warriors and laughed the laugh of a true warlord of Civilization.
