  • I admit you know very much about skincare, but you think you would be more organic, why take retnoids or others when you can just eat foods high in Vit a, like carrots and stuff

  • I have used 5% benzoyl peroxide but it only makes my pimples (on cheeks and forehead, I have miold acne) flat and they are still there. The area is red but the pimples are totally flat. Can you tell me what I can do please? Thank you!

  • I just noticed I get some blackheads on my T-zone, I work as a mechanic, so I get grime and dust and dirt in my pores. My wife recommended a few products, but I wanted to watch these videos for extra help. Thanks!

  • hormones, antibiotics and even accutane didnt work for me :( im on retin a now, and its working the best so far

  • The bit at the end was very sweet......I like the professional attitude you in your video.

  • im totally depressed because my cousin treated me into a spa i had facial. and the next week acne pimples just grew on my cheeks. im so sad. this is the first time i had so much pimples grew on my face. i wish this would all be gone. :( i dont understand why it's too many. :( i'm having cystic acne too. it's so painful. :(

  • Thanks

  • wheatgrass. i have terrible cystic acne and one week of it makes it mild

  • do you paint those paintings I've sometimes seen behind you?

  • Great video, love.

I've been going to a professional for a few years now and I was doing pretty good on my tretinoin/clindamycin/monocyclin routine for some time. Eventually my acne cleared up well enough so I slacked off on my routine. Since then I was struggling to get my skin under control, going from dermatologist to dermatologist when eventually one recommended I go on accutane and it changed my life. I saw real results & I'm still clear 2 months after. I'm now trying to clear up my scars

  • I went to a dermatologist & he prescribed antibiotics. Shortly after a while my acne went away. I stop taking my medication and it came back.. but I noticed you said any dairy products and a bad diet can cause this? Well, I'm a dairy fan but if I have to stop consuming them for the better of my skin. I suppose I must:))

Thanks a lot! Although I knew most of the treatments you mentioned above, you're a great help!! For all the trouble I've gone with my skin, I want to study dermatology!! :)

  • Thanks for sharing your advice and information on getting rid of acne and getting clear skin!

If you have any questions about acne or breakouts let me know... I'm sure I can help!

    Thanks!

  • hey Sublime agent i am using retin a 0.01 for my light acne i notice that it makes my skin look dry and my pores look larger next to my nose, why does this happen and is it suppose to happen?

  • @trustinChrist08 Hello. Yes, this is totally normal. I assume you just started using the retin a treatment? Are you using a good moisturizer. It usually takes about a month to adjust to the retin a. :D

  • @TheSublimeAgent well i have used retin a in the past but a lower grade and it didn't wrk on its own now i am using this one and i did use it for about two months and now i am back on it cause i stopped for a week or two(since i didn't see much results) how many times a week do you suggest applying it and should i end up seeing results(drastic ones)???

    btw thxs for the responce

  • @TheSublimeAgent and i use olive oil and cetaphil to moisturizer!

  • my experiance with acne was AWFUL! i began getting it at around 9. It affected me AWFULLY. I literally had no self confidence and always thought it was the reason why i was never popular or had a boyfriend etc. it was a true downer. i'm 19 now and it's reduced alot over the past decade. realistically there is only so much you can do. Right now I'm at that stage where i can wear a medium coverage foundation which is amazing for me. My cure was benzoyl peroxide, doxycycline and patience,

  • @PinkOrchid101 Hi! I just got prescribed doxycycline and retin a gel. I'm so worried to get on the Doxy because I'm afraid of the antibiotic and coming off it someday. I've heard acne gets worse if you go off and that it can mess you up by being on antibiotics for ever. How long have you been on the doxy? and has it been hard on your stomach or any side effects? thank you!

  • @AndreaJuliet i would recommend having a regular intake of doxy. dont miss a day. its an inflammatory pill so its not like the conventional ones. it does give you a slight bit of nausea but a full glass of water does the trick. i was stupid enough to take it with sprite one day so drink lots of water when you take it. i've been on it for about a year and a half now and its helped with redness and i only get those 'angry spots' around that special time of the month.

  • I have acne and few months ago it was really uncontrollable. I guess it had something to do with stress because it somehow slowly disappeared after I quit my job. I also checked my pictures and most of the time when I'm happy I don't have break outs. But I'm still struggling and recently what I'm using is FLOUCINONIDE CREAM and they say it is a steroid cream and was meant for some skin problems. It kinda works for me but I'm scared it might also harm my body.

    I'd definitely try tretinion. :)

  • You have the most amazing skin!! I'm so jealous!!! Great video!

  • i'm a lil scared to use retin a coz i already have a lot of pimple scars...

  • I drink so much milk but yet my diets pretty good and i take very good care of my skin and i always got breakouts, i never knew why! but now i think i do...its all because of milk ugh

  • I've always had perfect skin, well atleast on my face, until recently i started to get back acne, and at first it was just one, but soon spread, my doctor categorizes it as a mild hormonal condition, but i feel really self conscious and have stopped wearing dresses/tops with deep backs & skip going swimming/to the beach. I'm currently using a topical spot treatment, but I was wondering if theres something i can use to PREVENT this, not to use after my back is covered in mountain ranges loll <3

  • how to treat acne scars?

  • how to treat acne scars?

  • wow your amazing i liked your speech at the end so true=} btw i am using retin A once again but the 1% i have used retin A before the 4% one with benzaclin and it did wonders but when my benzaclin ran out retin A 4% didn't do much and i broke out i used tazorac after and no success now i am using the 1% retin A i do hope it works so far my skin is alright not AWesome but i am hoping it works i have light to mild acne....

  • If I were to use the topical retinoid like tretenoin how long does the acne usually last and do i have to treat the acne or just let it be until it goes away by it self ?

  • Cut out skin-damaging habits like smoking, excessive drinking, tanning booths and excessive sun exposure.

  • michael hear my question is Retin A cream is effective for acne vulgaris and not to make the acne and it's a hassle for me please help me my face is a mess (TwT)........... ..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what I like about ur tips is that ur a prime example of really good skin..I hate going to dermatologists who want my money and who's skin looks so badd..lol

  • thanks for all the advice it was very helpful, I used accutane 4 years ago and it was the best treatment ever. However, I started getting whiteheads and red inflamed acne after those 4 years. Right now i'm using Retin A for about 4 it was working well until i started getting red inflamed pimples out of no where. Do you have any idea if silicon can cause breakouts, I noticed that this whole breakout cycle started after using silicon drops.

  • @MissDa255 Silicon is comedogenic, and it broke me out too.

  • your skin is flawless

  • For me, I changed and watched my diet, low sugar uptake, more fruit and vegies, lots of water, take vitamins, exfoliates my skin with apricot scrub twice/week, using Roc lotion to hydrate my skin. My skin now is much better than before but still have acne scar left over. I still have acne every now and then but not as severe and more under control. All these lifestyle changes took me 2 years to see the effects but it last longer than any other topical treatment i have used.

  • This was extremely helpful! I honestly you were speaking to me at the end! I've had acne since I was 13 (now 23) so I had a friend visit from Nigeria and he was only in town for a few days but my acne really started to go crazy around the same time. I didnt even want him to see me it was horrible I felt awful so thats when I decided to take matters into my hands and see a dermatologist! They prescribed retin A, benzaclin and adoxa. Its only been a few days, keep your fingers crossed = ]

  • oh my gosh your skin is just FLAWLESS! so are your eyebrows! if i had skin like yours id probably never wear anything but mascara and eyeliner ever again. what do you have on your skin is this video?

  • MAkes mewonder how people controlled acne before the rise of skincare...

  • This is kind of a weird story, but... I was getting really bad cystic breakouts on my chin (mostly) and acne all over my face. I had never really broken out much my whole life, just one or two pimples. I recently kicked a habit of drinking energy drinks and my skin improved dramatically. Both the energy drinks and my multivitamin were giving me a huge excess of vitamin B and it was causing my cystic acne. Now I just use some benzoyl peroxide at night to maintain, and its all good now.

  • Thanks for this video. There are a lot of people who struggle so much from acne to the point that it greatly affects their self-confidence. I believe that knowledge empowers people and by providing people with this information, you have helped many.

  • I break out b/c of stress and bacteria. I've started to change my pillowcase/towel regularly, and removing my make up at night with olive oil, then wiping it with a tissue. Then use Cerave cleanser.(If im lazy, I use L'oreal 360 sensetive cleanser b/c the scrubbie agitates/lifts the makeup) Then I use Loreal Refreshing toner, followed by Ambi to combat the scarring. I also use sunscreen daily. On a spot, I use Zap Zit. Trial and error w/ products & hygiene has cleared up my skin.

  • your videos are so helpful!! thank you! my goal is to have a skin as beautiful as yours!!

  • I've been going to the dermatologist to get treatment for my acne for about two years,I've tried the erythromycin and the (ro)accutane. Neither have worked as well as using loads of benzoyl peroxide (the treatment described at acne[dot]org),in three months that have more or less made my acne vanish.

  • For me personally, it's the cow's milk.. and then I change my diet by eating clean and take supplements like probiotic.. and it turned my skin around and everything started to clear and the hormonal acne scars I had started to fade.. and I got a lot of complements on how I turn it around.. Of course, the 3 step systems.. and I don't use much make up anymore.. Anyway, good luck to those who still have acnes.. hope it clears.. Btw am in my late 30s.. and feeling great!

  • I continue to have blackheads on my t-zone but no other problems with my skin. I am stuck because I would like to start an anti-aging routine for my face but I want the black heads gone first. Do you have any ideas or tips on how to go about this?

  • @metchick02 In your case, its all about exfoliating. But try the harsh cleansing routine that I discuss in my 'how to cleanse your face properly' video. This should solve your problem...and we can start worrying about anti-aging :D

  • wow your skin is clear...

  • Im doing blue light. :)

I do it at a spa though.

  • Currently my dermantologist prescribed me Retin A and another antibiotic, but I'm unsure if it will work. I wanted to go on Accutane, but he wants to see if this will work. Thank you so much for making this video. I want to get into modeling, but this acne is preventing me from being able to get a good shoot. I always look forward to watching your videos, and you have such good advice and information. Thank you so much!

  • I currently have acne right now. I've had acne ever since I was 12, and I'm sixteen now. It didn't really get that bad until the summer of last year, and my doctor prescribed me doxycyclin. For a while it worked. And then it stopped, and my acne flared up again. I've tried everything, differin, benzaclin, countless others.

  • Aw sorry for the my HORRIBLE spelling lol

  • losing hope. I mean Ive tried birth control pills, proactiv, antibiotics, prescribed lotions and creams, any overthecounter products you could think of. well anyways acne has affected my emotional life significantly since Ive become very selfconcious and insecure. Even if a guy tries to talk to me I pretty much run away cause i dont want him looking at my pimples. I will though go to dermatologist and try to use accutine very soon.. my only hope.. Thanks for the helpful tips

  • acne since I work and go to school full-time. i dont drink milk since it does makes it worse, or chocolatte, pizza, butter, mayo, sugar, coffee ( I am a daily coffee drinker and trying to quit to see if it works). i just recently started changing my pillow more often, yet i am kind of

  • I am 26 yra old and i have had acne on and off since i was about 14. I 'ne noticed though that the older i get the worse it gets and i have probably try almost everything except for aacutine(which I am really afraid of). I think stress and eating out every day are the main causes of my

  • I forgot to tell you that the ending of this video is really amazing. OMG you are such a nice and sweet guy. You deserve 10000000000000000stars.

    Love you babe.

  • OK, what can I say? Amazing and very informative video as always.

So happy to see this video my young friends will love it. We all love you Michael.

    XOXOXO

  • Love the videos! Can you do something for thin skin with surface redness? I love your shirt and tie.

  • My achne started in puberty. My main problematic area was the forehead. I mainly trated it as normal and as something that would go away after my hormones had settled. I started to was my face really often and it disappeared. The only problem that I still have now (and I am way over puberty :P) is that I still have some blackheads and visible pores I have tried creams, scrubs dermabrasion, chemical peelings etc and still nothing works as good as I want to do you have any suggestions?

  • Thanks so much for the inspirational words! My acne started when I was 22. Up until then everyone came up to me and commented on how god my skin looked. When it all started I really didn't have much info on how to deal with the problem. so as a matter of fact I only aggravated the issue. about half a year ago I started using La Mer creme and my skin really loved it. it didn't clog my pores. so all I need right now is time so that my skin could get perfect once again.

  • From my teen years of suffering acne and the collection of all my own research, you have conveniently summed everything up in one video. Thankfully I have found what works for me and my skin problems are much better now. I'm sure this informative video will help many people with acne. Thank you for your encouraging words!

  • Thanks Michael! This video was great. I can't wait to find that next tip that will totally change my skin. :) You are amazing!

  • I had acne since I was 13 years old. I've tried all different over the counter Benzoyl Peroxide products, salicylic acid and it burned my skin...I was allergic. The dermatologist sent me Differin, clyndamicin, retin-a, and it just made my skin worse, dry, stiff, and burned. I had oily skin, though extremely sensitive and I picked on my whiteheads (usually small but numerous). My nose was full of black heads. I tried accutane 20 mg for one year, and my skin is better than ppl who never had acne.

  • i had acne since my early teens now im 18 i cant believe i didnt use CLEARASIL VANISHING ACNE CREAM, SERIOUSLY im telling you i tried Pro-activ i tried loads of things but with this i just leave it on and i dont get any more pimples its incredible it really changed my life and its really cheap too its only like 7$ or 8$. i seriously recommend anyone struggleing with acne, this is really cheap and it works, seriously i dont get any more pimples with it!

  • Great videos :)

You're definitely going to be an expert one day in beauty realm!

  • I love how you mentioned "You see your acne way worse then anyone else". It fits be perfectly. I get really sad when I see any of my friends with clear skin and mine is just horrible. Surprisingly I haven't been breaking out of Creme De La Mer. Do you know why? I broke all the rules and tried a sample of it and I haven't been breaking out. I wonder why? I am 100% shocked.

    Take care

  • i have the diffrin cream 3 tubes actually, its very expensive. did you say it is going to make my acne worse?

  • Where is your top from?

  • used accutane when I was in high school... worked really well, but made my skin so dry and made my nose bleed every day! my acne cleared up, but about 2 years later, it came back in a less severe manner. it's been more persistent but i've found through a series of PCH (?) chemical peels and currently micro dermabrasion (as well as salicylic acid face wash and night time serum) my acne is clearing up and scars are going away! slightly expensive, but so worth it! smaller pores and no wrinkles too!

  • I've been using the retin-A at night and benoxyl peroxide gel in the morning. I don't have much more acne, but I still have a lot of scarring. The retin-A has made the scars much smaller and I've only been using it for a month and a half. I got it bc you recommended it! Thanks so much for the vid Michael!

  • @abrazitos3 doesn't this make your skin very dry? I use retin a at night and my doctor also gave me the benzoyl peroxide...I just find it's very drying to use both...what moisturizer do you use?

  • I use the benoxyl peroxide very very very sparingly- I use the slightest bit of it, then immediately moisturize with cetaphil daily spf 15 moisturizer. It's not very drying for me because I have oily skin.

  • @abrazitos3 Hi! I am about the start the same regimen. I already have pretty good success with obagi's 5% BP, but I just got retin a .01% gel. Did you break out at first bad? how long till your skin improved and is it glowing now as some say it will? I just don't know if I should use the cream or gel. Do you use any other exfoliants? and do you use a gentle cleanser or an acne one? I have oily skin, especially in the T. Can you use retin a and BP at night or do they have to be separated? Thx

  • you actually made me cry towards the end... i have moderate acne, but it started getting worse in the past few months esp when winter started.. i have always had mild acne, but it was never this bad and it has hurt me so bad.. i am 22 and i cant walk straight in the corridors of my school, face up. I have to bend my head whenever there are cute guys around.. i always leave my hair down to hid some of it. It has really sucked out my confidence...

  • I know exactly what you are going through, because that's my story too! But I've gotten on the retin-A and it has really really helped! Go to the doctor/dermatologist to get the prescription, it will help a lot with your confidence!

  • I have so many positive commens to leave, but I will condense it to "GREAT...and very well explained" Thanks for this! PS...lovin the hot profile pic.

  • Honestly during the summer I used Proactiv and it really did work for me, the scrub (I would scrub gently for a minute or 2, twice a day) made my skin really smooth and that's what kept it clear, along with the Benzoyl Peroxide. I think my skin needs constant exfoliation, either from a retinoid or a scrub. I don't even remember why I stopped, I thought my skin got better, plus I got really pale. I should use it again, suck it up and use self tanner! Haha

    X

  • do you work in the skincare industry

  • hi, thanks for this video =) very helful information for those people having an acne..

I dont really much problem with acne, but the only thing I wanna get rid off is the scars on my face from my pimples before..I just dont know how to...and somebody recommend me to the dermclinic, but as you know its very pricey..and im looking just a cheap solution but effective...

and btw u have a nice skin...im so jealous....I have the same skin during my teens...thank you and thanks for helping us....=)

  • Very professional, informative video as always! :) Thank you! <3
