Don't buy from Cyberpower they consistently gets bad reviews for all the broken computers they ship out. If you don't believe me type in Cyberpower reviews in google, and go through it. Try Ironsidecomputers(dot)com instead. Those guys consistently do a great job.
hey anybody who knows about DESKTOPS im looking to get a new desktop mainly for HD video editing ..Can anyone recommend a good one bc im having issues right now when i am editing the preview of my video lags and skips pretty bad.. Also the rendering takes a little too long.. I use vegas10 and cyberlink... the specs im looking at so far are an intel i7 cpu, at least 8gb of ram, windows 7 (64bit), a nvidia graphics card, and at least 1tb of hard drive. My range is like $1500-$2000.. Thanks!
@BxSQUIRREL I just customized my own computer from cyberpowerpc for HD video editing as well. I was having the exact same problem as you. I spent $2200 in total and think I got a pretty sweet deal on it. It's actually not far off from your spec list at all. I have the i7, 8 gigs ram, windows 7, the graphics card is a nvidia 570, and a 2TB hard drive with a 40 gig SSD for my OS and important programs. If you use their website I started optioning mine out based on the "Gamerpro 8800" package,
@BxSQUIRREL but if you take a look you'll probably be able to save a little more money on it than I spent because I got dual monitors, keyboard and mouse from them as well so if you dont need that stuff you'll probably be able to get a nice system COMPLETELY capable of running mid-to-high end editing programs for around $1200-1600. Good luck!
@MyRandomReviews I agree on the delivery of the systems it took like 1-2 weeks to deliver mine back in April 08 still Cyberpowerpc kicks butt if ya got the cash. :)
@Hekynn - Yeah, CyberPower offer probably the most customisable machine builder out there, all the way down to the fans, and the grommets!
1 to 2 weeks though is an acceptable amount of time to build a system, test it, and ship it to you. Think about how much 1 or 2 day shipping is on a massive computer! :P
I bought my computer from Eclipse Computers (UK Company) and they took freaking ages; kept getting held up on parts! It came about 4 to 6 weeks later - and it was quite badly built!

Great builds, and great quality with CyberPower. It's a shame they take so long to deliver the system!
