Emma Samms did what she could to transition the character and I actually stumbled on the Colbys first and found Dynasty later (both on youtube, both in 2010 when I was 29 and too young to remember even the Colbys original airings), however I really just LOVED the Dynasty Fallon character-a true daughter of Alexis who has become my FAVORITE tv character. I love her to death and I can only PRAY that I look even 1/10th as good as Joan Collins when I reach the age she was at this reunion!
ES's Fallon against CO's Amanda would have been good too-I honestly don't care which Fallon it was along it would be CO's Amanda haha. If only there will be a new 'Dynasty' coming out-they could use that as the oppurtunity to fix all the 'Big Mistakes' and maybe place Sable vs Dominique. There really should be a Sable vs. Alexis. vs. Dominique. Or Sable and Alexis team up against Dominique-how about that? lol
I'd love it if they actually did do a "Dynasty - The Next Generation" w/ all the original Carrington children, w/ Fallon as the capable if ruthless head of DenverCarrington, Adam married to Kirby & warring w/ Jeff over ColbyCo, Amanda involved w/ charity work & catfighting w/ big sister, & poor Steven acting as the conscience of the family XD

At some point every Carrington child was recast. Best recast was Jack Coleman as Steven. Worst recast..was Karen Cellini as Amanda..followed by the dude who played Adam in the reunion movie, and Emma as Fallon. That one hurts because I love Emma, but PSM was the best.

And what's more, they discontinued Amanda's romance w/ Clay Fallmont w/out any explanation as to her sudden obsession w/ the chauffer.
@dynastyandirishgal94 Well, that's true, but I think they could've had her romance with Michael *after* she fought Sammy Jo for Clay, and here's how it could've gone: after the fiasco of SJ thinking she's pregnant w/ Clay's baby only to find out that she isn't (& possibly having Amanda reveal this to Clay), Ben tells Clay that he might be his son, & Clay skips town, leaving Amanda heartbroken w/ a sympathetic chauffer.
That could've worked. Too bad the Dynasty writers didn't use that and kept Oxenburg on the role of Amanda. They probably could've kept the series going on longer if they hadn't gotten rid of that character and Dominque's. I wish there was a catfight between Fallon and Amanda-That would've been entertaining to watch (and only if it was Oxenburg's Amanda)!!

They should've kept Oxenberg & put Dominique on "The Colbys" a lot sooner (I heard they were going to put her on "Colbys" for the 3rd season; if they had done it for the 2nd season, things might've worked out better), & brought Fallon back on "Dynasty" to rival little sister for daddy's affection & possibly Jeff's love.
I was thinking something like that (Fallon vs. Amanda for Jeff) would be really entertaining hahah. They def should've done that and included a fight between the 2 sisters (and maybe have Jeff or Alexis and Blake break it up) that would've been 10x more entertaining. Dynasty made a couple of Big Mistakes, like you said, esp when it came to oppurtunities for characters to interact on-screen. Wasn't Dominque on the Colbys @ all??

Even a Cameo by Stephanie Beacham and Maxwell Caulfield as the other Colbys would enrich the Formula and make it even more worthwhile to watch,and enjoy. Letting them all into our own Families again would bring a tear to anyone's eye...
I never was a "DALLAS" Fan, I was ALWAYS a Dynasty fan. "Steven" is now on "Heroes". (Boy he was cute! And his lover died in a hotel fire??? Am I right?) I loved that Dynasty was the first prime show to utter "BITCH!!" Pammy Sue Martin was so cute!! PSM was very good as the poor little rich girl, Fallon.She left the show and was replaced by Emma Samms (who was okay and very attractive.).

Emma Samms was beautiful, but Pamela Sue Martin was better actress and she gave personality to Fallon character. The transition from Al Corley to Jack Coleman was gonn on the storyline, but in the reunion Corley retruned without any logical explanation.
The only real explanation for Corley's return was that Jack Coleman was unavailable at the time. Gordon Thomson wasn't available either, and hence Robin Sachs took over as Adam.
Yes, I know that; but I mean that in the storyline with the plastic surgery over Steven's face it's logical changing the actor.The problem comes with the return of the first actor in The Reunion, we must forget the surgery then?
I totally understand where you're coming from, it does create a BIG continuity error. I guess in this reality Steven's surgery didn't alter his face as much. Still, better to bring back Corley than some other new actor to play Steven.

People need to respect the fact that both actors (Fallon and Steven) wanted out. And respect the fact that Emma Samms and Jack Coleman were chosen to replace them. As an actor, it is very difficult for the audience to like you more than the original person before you. I think they ALL did great with what they had.
OK fiar enough, it is hard to follow someone else in the same role, but Emma Samms' Fallon was a different person. Where did all the feistiness and flirtatiousness go? Fallon turned into a wimp, and PSM never played her like that. At least the two Stevens seemed to ahve similar personalities (if not looks, ha ha)
Emma Samms is a beautiful British beauty. It's not her fault that the then "Dynasty" writers wrote scripts bad for the Fallon character. If the situation was reversed and Samms was the original Fallon, people would still be griping that the original Fallon was better. I must admit that I hated Pamela Sue Martin leaving the show, but we all had to accept it. Both actresses were great.
I prefer Martin's interpretation as well, but I respect her decision for leaving. No disrespect is meant towards Ms. Samms, but she was not an ideal replacement.

I loved Steven and Fallon's relationship the first 2 seasons - it was so real. But season 3 started the change...more camp, less character....
Also, Joan just seem to not get over the fact that PSM left...gosh, get over it, lol.

It's funny how Blake's ex, Alexis, and long-lost daughter, Amanda,had British accents. Then, Fallon #2 all of a sudden has a British accent, too!!
Again,Samms is an excellent, beautiful actress. I blame the writers for making Fallon appear "miscast".
