  • what kind of light mount is that bro beans

  • Good stuff man!!! :)

  • Thanks for your review. I have learned much. Anthony.

  • so do the complete uppers come with the bolt assembly and charging handle?

  • great video, whats the song at 36secs?

  • Nice video. Good information.

  • will the dpms work with a bushmaster buttstock. cuz i want to get an ar and theres a dpms for sale for 700 and i want to put the bushmaster stubby buttstock on it.

  • Good job man i was lmao when you said you get a bunch off coments busting your balls funny ass hell man,,,but fuck them ,,,i plan on buying 2 ar 15 kits that arnt head spaced so i can get them faster 4 weeks instead 16 weeks for a kit thats been head spaced

  • What was the opening music from?

  • I know it sound like he was going to war LOL.....How your rifle shooting so far ? Keep us updated.

  • Great video. Do you think you could post a vid of you actually cleaning the rifle. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. What type of cleaner do you suggest, should I wipe down all the parts after I clean them to get rid of excess etc.? Thanks for all the great videos and keep it up!

  • There are lots of ar-15 cleaning vids on Youtube, so that shouldn't be a problem for ya'. After 41/2 years in the Army, I personally recommend regular CLP (cleaner lubricant protectant) for a typical quick cleaning. But if you want to get more detailed, try bore cleaner for breaking down the stuck-on crap, and any brand name lubricant. The only parts I leave lubricant on are the bolt and the buffer spring, but just a little oil. Everything else should be basically dry.

  • if i were you, i would wipe everything. the barrel isnt the only thing that gets dirty, and ARs ar pretty precise, so if u dont clean them, they may jam. even the clip needs to be cleaned after about 1-2000 rounds of use.

  • Hate to nitpick but, the AR-15 is a magazine fed weapon, not clip fed. You use clips to feed the magazine. Dont't want anyone to get confused.

  • yeah, i know, whole clip=stripperclip, magazine=boxmag thing. my grandfather keeps yelling at me for mixin them up, i know the diff, just have a habit of doin it.

  • hi, i just bought a dpms AR-15 and ive never shot it yet, i also just bought some brown bear ammo for it, i was wondering if that was a good brand for it?

  • brown bear is a little better than Wolf which is cheap low end dirty steel cased russian made ammo. If your gun eats brown bear no problems, go for it, it's all good for plinking. Self defense is another story. It probably shoots dirty also, just clean it after the outing.

  • hey can you take the standard front sight like you have ,and take that off so you could put on a flip up front sight.

  • Gas blocks on most, if not all, Ar-15s are replaceable...soo he probably can, and so can you

  • you will have to get a railed gas block like the one he pictured "if you want low profile", and then put a flip up front sight on the picatinny railed gas block. Or you can get a even lower profile gas block and slip a quad rail or free floating tube that is longer so it covers up the gas block, and then put a flip up front sight on the quad rail or tube. ar15(dot)com for more info.

  • the ar 15, m16, m4 is the most simple gun to assembly. i just built my own from scrap. i got the parts over a month time and put it together slowly. the only part you need to check is the head space. all tho ar 15 headspace cant really be changed inlease the barrels a defect its better to be safe then sorry. a go and no go gage is 50.00 for a set, be sure to check the headspace if you build your own or remove your barrel. if the headspace is off it can be fatel

  • Another thing to check would be your gas gaskets on the bolt. After you get the bolt all back together pull the bolt ejector all the way out and stand it on it's end. If the bolt ejector goes back in then the gas gaskets need to be replaced. If it doesn't then the gaskets are OK. Of course if the gaskets are worn then they will not hold the weight and the extractor will be forced back into the carrier. This function will allow you to see if you need to replace the gas gaskets.

  • Great video series. Thanks.

  • i had this model as a 328fps spring action and i must say it was pretty good. but it fucking broke on me when i didn't use it for over 1 month and a half on summer vacation. i left it in my closet untouched and it fucking stalled, whedn i pulled back on the loader it wouldnt load the bullet and when i finally got it to work i shot it and it broke the spring

  • Good Stuff brotha! Good presentation and info. It definately helped me out with my AR. Thank You.

  • Is that a stainless or chrome bolt I see? How do you like it KITB2K buddy? Do you have to headspace it at all? Just got my Bushy M4 A3 type upper with handle after a long, long wait. I put it on my Rock River two stage lower. Man that Rock has a nice trigger. Have you used a Ciener conversion at all?

  • EXCELLANT!!!!!! im converting mine now & what a HELP you have been!!!!

    KEEP POSTING!!!!

  • Do you reload for the .223 specific to the dpms AR. If you do what powder, bullet, primer combo do you use?

  • No I have not started reloading for my 223 yet ( Need the Dies & Caliber Conversion kit )

Sorry I can't help ya man.

  • iam a gun dealer in the philippines thanx for the reply, so they dont have automatic versions then? do bushmasters have automatic versions? how about panther arms

  • 5 stars on your AR series. Very informative. If dpms can get caught up on their orders, I might beable to buy one before they get banned. :)

  • lol Ya I no what you mean man , from what I hear just about all AR brands are on back order right now.

    Good luck

  • Ya I went to a shop yesterday and checked on them. They had 2 AR's and sold about 10 more in the past 2 weeks. The guy said they cant even order because everyone is backed up.

  • would like to know if panther ar 15 has full auto function

  • no. it is a legal civilian ar-15. semi auto only.

  • u got a myspace?

  • Yes but I don't post these types of videos on there.

I just post videos of me & friends shooting competition on my Myspace page.

  • when u say eotech's are better at closer ranges....out to a hundread yards?

  • 100+ yards would be pushing it with a Eotech unless you also had one of their Magnifier set-ups.

Without a Magnifier I would try to keep it within 70 yards.

Not to say you couldn't do 100+ yards shots with a normal Eotech , Its just your bullet drop angle will have you shooting some pretty Big groups ( unless your really good at it ).

  • are eotech 512's anygood for red dot sights kicked?

  • If you had a flat top model AR I would say Hell yes but not so much for mounting on a upper handle.

Many people are big Eotech fans and if I had the money I'm sure I would be to. ( That or a Trijicon acog )

Both are great choices and will last and work great for many years but they are very very pricey. ( Trijicon acog is better for bright light shooting & longer shots , Eotech open face HOLOgraphic dot's are better for low light shooting at closer ranges )

    Just my opinion.

  • if you want to replace the upper, you don't have to take off the a-frame or gas block, you only need to take out the forearm (handguard) and the gas tube/pin, to get at the barrel nut. i would recommend the vice block so you don't crush your upper reciever.

  • Great videos. I got the same exact AR myself. Keep up the good work, man.

  • Thanks man

  • hey kicked, how much you got in that thing with the upgrades?

  • I bet I have around $1000 bucks in her so far.

  • Thats really not bad at all when you consider the other models out there that are more than that just stock ... I think you made my mind up for me ,I'm going to order me one... Just a thought but a good addition to that collection you got started there would be a mossberg590 with a 20" barrel ,that is if you dont already have one .. thanks!

  • Hey, thanks a lot man, I've been thinking about getting a AR-15 for my first rifle (cause of my old clan). Anyway thanks for these videos about it, it helped make my choice. Though I am a bit scetchy when I think about getting upgrades for it, but hey it cant all that diffrent than getting upgrades for my airsoft rifle. Practicly the same thing, xept more money.

  • Sweet video

  • great videos dude, just got my first dpms ar, havent even got it to the range yet- you have been great help-

  • No problem man I hope it works out great for ya.

If you have any questions about it just hit me up & I'll try and help.

  • I don't really have much of a choice. I have to buy the southpaw panther for obvious reasons.

  • YO kickedintheballs2000! i like your vids man, very informative! keep it up! also be digg'n the NIN!

  • Thanks for watching man & Thanks for the support.

  • do you got a dip in?

  • just purchased a DPMS AP4, with some customizations. Vltor A3 upper receiver with shell deflector only, 6 rail free float foreguard, titanium nitride bolt carrier assembly, jp gas block, jp adjustable trigger, YHM detachable fixed rear and front sites, chromed bore and chamber, black teflon coated mil-spec barrel, pardus stock. can't wait to get it and hit the range! maybe i'll post a vid of my friends and i shooting.

  • Want a cookie?

  • i'd rather have my rifle to be honest. last i heard DPMS has 2300 orders to fill. But! i'll take a cookie if you're offering, did your mother cook them?

  • Yes me to I'm dieing for some old school home made chocolate chip cookies.

  • Hey I have a quick question. If you already discussed it, sorry. My Bushmaster ha teh A1 top and would like to switch it to A3 or flat top. Can you make a step by step on how to do that?? Is it something I can do myself?? I'm pretty good at taking weapons apart just need some giudance. Thanks

  • What do you think of the Panther 5.56 NATO Sportical? its price on dpms is 700 and the panther lite 16 is 725....

  • I have three co-workers that all bought DPMS 24" super bull complete rifles. Of those three one had a loose barrel and yet another had a chamber that was oversized literally causing factory ammo to completely rupture in the chamber when fired. The third person had no problems and his rifle shoots ragged holes. I personally prefer Armalite and Rock River Arms. Any company that would turn out rifles without checking the chamber with a plug gauge is to be avoided.

  • Well everyone has different opinions. I myself have seen more bushmaster AR's mess-up then any AR and I have shot 6 DPMS AR's and so far no problems.

  • It's definitely doable...but it might be worth asking a competent gunsmith/ar-15 armorer how much he charges.

  • okay nice video by the way, i have a question maybe you can help me with.......i see dpms sells a "regular" ar-15 rifle and they also sell the "lite" version......and there is a pretty big price difference, but i want to know what are the differences in the lite version vs. the regular version of ar-15??

thanks any help will be greatly appreciated

  • Where do you get all this kool music? LoL

  • Almost all of the tunes I use are soundtrack tunes I buy online.

  • Hey did you get my message?

  • No I don't think I got any messages from you.

  • Thats strange did you block me from messaging you by chance? I finally finished my AR I wanted to send you some pics.

  • lol no man I woudn't block you.

I have had messages do the same thing for me.

  • Would it be worth buying a gas piston system for an Ar-15 style gun?

  • I think they work fine without a piston system so I would say no.

But if you plan on going to war then a piston system may be worth the cash.

  • I'm looking into putting the Mako T-grip on my CX4. Are you happy with yours?

  • Yes I'm very happy with it but it maybe alittle to big for the storm. ( Note: It may fit alittle tight on the rails when you first put it on.

  • I know someone that has the Mako grip without the light mount and it fits OK. My main concern with the "light" portion of the T-grip and the factory sling mount interfering with each other.

  • Ya it maybe in the way of the factory front sling mount ( I mounted a sling mount on the side )

  • awsome job on ar-15 it help me a lot thanks

  • I took a roll of duct tape Stood it on end(Like a wheel) And smashed it to make a block

If you have any plumbing tools around the house I found a no scratch wrench that worked for a barrel tool

  • haha..."then just reverse the protease to reassessable"

  • Finally got my ar-15!!! if you dont mind my asking... what type of handguard is that? and where did you get it? Thanks man!!!

  • The clip shows you what type of handguard it is and I got it from ( cheaper than dirt ) magazine they also have a web site.

  • Hey Kick have you seen Limalife Ar take down vid?She has some good close ups on the reassemble

  • Yes I have and I must say it is very cool seeing a women doing firearm clips ( she's has a few good clips )

  • How many rounds do you shoot per cleaning?

Do you do all that strip down for one 30 round clip or can you just clean the barrel for a couple plinks

  • I clean my firearms ( All my firearms but one ) After every use no matter if a shoot one round or a 1000 rounds.

The only firearm I don't clean after every use (I clean it maybe once a month) is the old work horse my Ruger 10/22.

  • I hope I did alright ,I got a Double Star AR flat top for $700 new w/ case.

  • Well I'm not sure about the double star brand but sounds like a good deal to me.

  • great video very informative for a beginner like my self

  • your videos are always very informative! keep them coming!

  • Thanks for the good comment man and Thanks for wathcing.

    Be safe

  • is your barrel chrome lined?

  • No its chorme moly ( I like chorme moly barrels better for target shooting )

  • Why?

  • well chorme moly barrels shoot better groups but have a shorter barrel life.

  • where would you rank an all stainless barrel?

  • Great info on how to do some aftermarket mods and what to look for. Thanks.

  • Just wanted to say that I really enjoy the videos. Thanks.

  • No problem man thanks for watching

  • LMAO !! If KB f's up once in a while, just chill. You are probably the same guys that pack a Jennings .22 for SD.Give respect where respect is due...or his next demo tape might just be about "street sweepers" hint hint :) .Roy Rogers would be proud of all KB's vids.Keep 'em comin'>>>!!!

  • lol thanks man

  • Very informative video there. I plan to do a similar one except to include every part of the AR build. I just got a new Stag Arms lower today and I'm gonna build it piece by piece.

    Check out my gun videos.

  • Sounds good man I'll check it out.

  • What can anyone tell me about Century Arms?

  • Century makes some decent stuff, however some of it is crap...best to research the weapon you are looking at

  • Very good tip for any firearm ( I think )

  • How about their AR's? (5.56)

  • DPMS makes a great AR I have had 3 and never had any issues with them at all

  • If you don't mind me asking what one's do you have?

  • Most AR's are in 5.56

  • What about Century Arms's AR's?

  • Thanks for all your hard work. These vids keep getting better and better. Wow

  • No Problem man

  • batman?

  • Yep batman begins

  • Great video, 5 stars

I want to buy a armalite 20" Ar-15a4, and convert it to full-auto.

The Full-auto laws are difficult so I need to some homework.

DPMS is a good AR, but personally I think Colt makes the best. Colt supply's all the m-4s for Nato.

  • In 1986 a law was passed making it illegal to add any more serial numbers to the civilian automatic weapons list.

If you want a select fire or fully automatic weapon it will cost you in the ball park of $18,000 and up, plus $200 for a background check.

  • yep must have a class 3 and I hear that they tax the shit out of you for each full auto firearm you buy.

  • Awesome vidoes! Very informative. The Wannamacher gun show is coming through my city next month and I am wanting to get an AR. This will be for general plinking, no competions or any of that. What brand(s) do you recommend. What brand(s) should I avoid? Keep up the great work man, enjoy it!

  • well Its hard to say what brand of AR is better or worst ( I myself think DPMS are the best bang for your bucks AR's out there ) Buts thats just my opinion. I your best bet is to simply search around for maybe review's and what people say about that brand of AR and go from there and see what you think.

    Thanks for watching man

  • another great video. I'm definitely adding this to my favorites. Because I'm going to get the quad rail and a forearm handle with light on the handle.

  • When you remove your barrel the Ejection Port Cover Rod can be pulled forward to remove it.

Be sure to watch how the spring is set so it can be put on your new receiver the same way as your old one.

You can then use a brass punch to knock out the roll pin holding the Bolt Carrier Assist in.

Awesome video as always my friend.

  • Man, I love your vids! I'm curious, as I'm currently in the market for an AR, as to how you decided on DPMS v/s Colt, Bushmaster, etc?

  • Well I can't really say to much about other AR platforms cause I only own a DPMS but I have shoot these brands of AR's , Colt , S&W and Bushmaster and they seem pretty much the same but are more pricey. So I would put my DPMS up to any AR anyday. ( Just my opinion )

  • Colt Bushmaster are the Nike brands dpms is the cheaper brand but all very great and accurate shooting. Do you want to spend little over 1000 or around 700 I believe the dpms is

  • Five Stars!!

  • great video, say if you ever get your bolt frozen up in the rec.from shooting dirty wolf ammo,as i have, spray it down liberally with liquid wrench ,pull out the bolt then use a rod to free the case

  • Another great video Man! Your break down of the weapon was one of the most straight forward I have seen yet. Added this to my favorite since I'm a new AR owner and still learning the ropes.

  • Thanks man

  • Nice vid, and like you said, it answered my questions. good job!
