When you read Gackt's biography, you learn that he was rigorously trained in classical piano in order to compete with a friend. Him being a rock star, you never really expect to hear how someone like Chopin, who Gackt says inspired him, affect his music.

But every time I listen to this song, you really get a glimpse at how talented he is, and how we haven't seen half of what he's capable of.

This is part of The Sixth Day & Seventh Night 2004 tour. It's been 6 years since I first watched this, and 3 years since I last took out my DVD of this concert....and even now this performance still resonates with me. The piano, the vocals, the melody of the song, its lyrics... everything is so top notch and poignant. This is definitely the best performance of Gackt's career.

I sat totally hypnotized watching this performance by Gackto-san! I can definitely see Gackt as a very hip classical pianist. When people are gifted they do things just differently than other people. Gackt is very emotional conveying this song and those hesitation moments in his piano-playing just bulids up more anticipation. The tears flowing adds drama to this recital. What is this song about?
