@wickedexpert One of the kinda odd things about Broadway shows is that everyone who follows the actor originating the role must interpret it EXACTLY the same as the original. This is to maintain the artistic integrity of the original Director's vision. But you are so right about Kristen being naturally funny and talented. That is precisly why she originated the role, I'm sure!

She seems by far the most natural Glinda. The others are amazing, and I've seen some pretty hilarious ones in London, but they're all putting on the voice and you can tell they're going out of their way to be funny when playing the part. Kristen just seems to do it all naturally, in the sense that instead of trying to be funny, she just does her thing, and that just happens to be funny. So sorry I didn't get to see her :'(

@wickedexpert She was the best Glinda. I still think she adlibed most of it. I want her book to find out she goes into detail about her time on this show. I think with Popular, the Producers just let the girls who played Glinda just go with the flow. Everyone of them seems to do it differently. Most of the stuff, ie. song, changing clothes, remains the same, but the stuff in between changes with each of them. Love Kristin's version.

Respond to this video... Watch the Ellen interview that Kristin gave. She stated that she had herniated 2 cervfical vertibrae and had accidentally taken double the intended dose of prescribed pain medication. She says she doesn't remember this performance at all.
