  • this was such a great song for the time !

  • Y E S !! what an era !!!! I was 13 the same age as my grandaughter is now and to think what she listens to as opposed to back then :( its a SHAME !!!!!!!! SAD !

  • This is true music wow what an era to have lived in.

  • I Have a metal studio acetate of this,Great record!!!!

  • Ricordi, ricordi.... Ricordo questo lento ballato guancia a guancia. Ricordo sguardi, parole non dette. Ricordo sogni ad occhi aperti. Sentimenti nascosti di una dolcezza estenuante.

  • lol that lil yellow thing was hell trying to get it stay in the middle

  • I was 14 years old and in love. I know people say puppy love, but it was very real to me and still is

  • I was eleven and in New Zealand when I first heard the great sound. It was the beginning of good, good things for myself and music.

  • According to the labels on the Jack Scott 45s I have, and the one spinning here,

the vocal group backing up Jack is the Chantones, they do sound a bit like the the Jordanaires though. I certainly agree that Jack should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of fame. Though he was considered one of the teen idol singers of the era, he had a style & sound all his own. One of the stand outs of his time and sadly somewhat forgotten today.

  • 23 hits in ONE year...not yet inducted into the Rock Hall. Same for actual father of Rock & Roll Arthur Big Boy Crudup

  • a classic

  • Quite nostalgic ... thank you so much for uploading it. Clicked " like" for 97 pts.

  • This is Jack Scott with the Jordainaires backing him up

  • It is interestin, to observe which songs, groups, and movin pictures have cussin in the comments, and which ones don't.

  • Just a Classic -- always loved that song - Jack Scott had a great voice & the arrangement is superb!

  • Oh the memories! Thanks for posting this!

  • JUST THE GREATEST, this was playing on my 16 birthday inthe Med in The Navy

  • You have just listened to one of the greatest recording artists in the world. Truly a legend in his own time with that God given voice of his. Jack still performs today at some of the clubs in michigan where he lives. Thanks Jack for all the great songs and the memories.

  • I'm sorry that I had forgetten Jack Scott but he WAS so much to mt teen years. SORRY SO SORRY JACK!!!!!

  • merci

    que de bons moments

    toujours si forts

  • superbe...

    je retrouve mes quinze ans...

    cela fais mal

    le temps passe trop vite...

    un grand merci

  • A Top 5 hit for Jack Scott in August 1958. It was kept out of the #1 spot by Domenico Modugno's Volare (Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu) and The Elegants (Little Star).

  • Wow - what a find! I used to play this song incessantly - my folks got so sick of it. Thank you for posting.

  • Jack was backed up by The Chantones on this record.

  • What a beautiful song this is.

  • WOW--talk about reaching into the memory bank. I recall this song very well--I was in the 7th grade at the time--and can remember passing the ice cream parlor in Washington heigfhts-Manhattan--and almost always hearing this one by Jack Scott.

I remmeber too--on one of those days--they raised the price of a malted milk to 25 cents!!!--

    THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!

  • una dolce canzone che ha fatto sognare i giovani negli anni 60 io c'ero!!!

  • Nita, You are My True Love

  • Quando uscì questo disco, erano gli anni belli della mia giovinezza. Quante volte l'ho ballato, guancia a guancia, con il cuore che tremava. Ora c'è solo il ricordo e la nostalgia di quell'estate ormai tanto lontana.

  • Any `Greatest Hits' compilation of Jack's Scott's music constitutes some of the most worthwhile listening.

The R&R Hall Of Fame needs to consider a place for him.

He has a naturally good voice, no commercial stylizing needed.

Thanks for posting it and showing the original issue.

  • Tell ya what, dancing with my sweetie to this tune gave me an erection that would render Viagra as a useless dime store candy.

  • I love this song , that time I don't even understand English.

    Time sure fly.

    thank for the memory.

  • Good Stuff, Looks like the original Carlton 1st pressing, I think there was a 2nd press in 1961. thank you posting this

  • I am a Hospice helper and my first time hearing this record was with a very special family. The husband sang this to his wife for 36 years and meant every word. She played it while he was on his way to the other side. It was very moving. They have a love that will last for always!

  • I have a 45 copy of this same record, same label & everything, it looks mint but it plays like really "fuzzy".. maybe they pressed it funny,? it doesn't sound like any kind of groove damage / wear that I've ever heard.. your copy sounds great!! Nice to hear it sounding good!

  • Jack truely belongs in the R&R Hall of Fame. This has to be one of the classic slow dance tunes of all time along with his "With Your Love. "

  • very beautiful song!!

  • When this song was on the charts, a couple in Gary, Indiana welcomed their seventh of nine children into the world. The couple was Joe and Katherine Jackson. It was a boy and they named him Michael Joseph. And as Paul Harvey always said, You know the rest of the story.

  • my true love proety in motion

  • All My Love +Kisses Sweetheart XXXXXXX

  • Oh how I held my girl now my wife when we danced to this. Married 41 years now

  • Jack Scott - truly one of the greatest singers ever to record. Jack is still touring and does the Rock N Roll shows. Also plays the clubs in Michigan if your luckey enough to get a ticket. Still has that God given great voice.

  • Thanks for posting this fabulous song. I was 10 years old living in Hoboken NJ when it came out. It is still one of my all time favorites. Does anybody know the name of the group that backed him? They did a fantasic job also.

  • I was 9 year old when this came out and I still have the record. One of the all time greats.

  • finickity. Like to know where you got the record from?

  • a touch of hellven. brings back melmories

  • Sometimes Jack sounded if he was being played at the wrong speed. "What in the World's come over you" is another example. I preferred his rock songs "Leroy" and "Baby Baby"

  • I have an album of Jack Scott, but I've never seen a video before, thanks to all who contribute to these old memories.

  • thank you

  • FANTASTIC Jack Scott at his best

  • It's a great song-thanks!

  • 1956 - the beginning of some really great songs and singers.

Thank goodness I have these old songs to take up the void

that is current "music". Thank you. Never hear these anymore on what is left of oldies stations.

  • Great timeless song and thank you for posting it. More people should hear it!

  • WHEN MUSIC WAS STILL MUSIC

    THANKS

  • Jack Scott, with his effective vocal backing and minimal instrumentation, really delivers a memorable performance here. What amazes me, too, is that the extraordinarily slow tempo actually enhances the lyrics and enables the listener to 'savor' their meaning.

  • Thank you for adding this great song of my past and all the memories that it still brings.

  • My Pleasure
