Sorry i appreciate your efforts to explain the people about weightlifting but if you want to improve the strenght and power for oly lifts then you should do olympic lifts. And partial lifts like press jerk and high pulls, but no point doing deadlifts for weightlifting.
does'nt sound like cardio is your strongpoint....but damn....big man....it looks like you could do much much more.....you could show off a little...but very humble....i like that very respectable.....
if you are training weightlifting specific I think the best way is to use the overhand grip with tumbhook grip even if you are using straps because otherwise the angels will change in the pull, if you are doing like deadlifts and diffrent pulls.
Best advice I could ever give is to "practice how you play." In other words, if you're wanting to increase you Olympic weightlifting, then you should always deadlift with the double-under hook-grip. I personally deadlift double-under with no hook until I go above 315, then I start hookin'. The 'hook' is very awkward and kinda' painful at first, but you will get acclimated.
Great video Travis. Thank you :)

Do you usually use an overhand grip with straps or an over/under?
