  • A marvel of modern construction.

  • Im GANGSTA sucka!!!

  • Jesus Christ, PheesKMP do you know nothing about why science is so important? Go read Waterland by Swift.

Oh wait, you probably can't fathom why literature is important either. Never mind, just go back to working in your dead-end factory job.

  • its "do you know anything" not "do you know nothing" Yeah, literature is important, so is GRAMMAR

  • No, I literally meant "...do you know nothing..." What I said is grammatically correct.

  • Well, my dick is still bigger. LOL

  • does anybody know how fast that space craft is moving? or is that just the earth rotating making it look like its moving

  • ~ mach 25

  • u serious its moving that fast

  • yeah, like 1 mph or so. Give or take

  • i thought mach 25 was really fast.. some aircraft only move like mach 7, or is the scale the other way around lol

  • 17500 mph to maintain earth orbit

  • Know what i find interesting. most people commenting on this seem to be actually intelligent lol. except the people who cant spell. (telecommulications, resurce, w.t.f. is resurce lol) whatever none of this stuff matters because 2012 MAY happen. i dont know just my opinion but i find it very coincidental that most of nostradamuses predictions came true , for example napolean and hitler, he named them both by name :O. scary shit

  • To say space travel is "useless" is a very tunnel vision comment. Without the development of space exploration, the advancement in space engineering technologies as well as EVAs, further knowledge and research in global warming and climate change would seize.

  • so true, much of the so called resurce is done via satalights much of are telecommulications is done by satalght also

  • Now that was pretty cool

  • Fuck Christ!

  • nice to see this aircraft looks spaceship flying and the earth looks so great!.

  • It is great - dreamscape !

  • You're round. REALLLY round XD

  • hahaha there is no space , the world is flat , ummm yaaaa maybe if ur were smokin cock or crack , oh man .. some ppl need to get re-educated lol wow

  • Of course all of this is necessary...I mean, if it were otherwise, NASA would be naked and without a legit cover for it's secret space program, the one that Gary Mckinnon uncovered when he hacked into their system and discovered the now famous "List of Non-Terrestrial Officers", all of which I hope, is being conducted-albeit secretly- in the best interest of "All Terrestrial Citizens" .Peace to all of you earthlings and otherwise who work in the name of charity, love, light and goodwill.

  • Why does every fucking video have to turn into a fucking political argument? Cant you people enjoy the fucking video?

  • LMAO man people fight about everything on youtube cuz theyre sitting behind their computer and theyre feeling brave

  • @normandie350

Actually No.. If you're saying that people can't saying anything because they resort to violence in real life, you have a problem.

  • @ Dylanwtn I Totaly Agree!! thnxx that im not the only one who thinks that

  • Holy Crap TSanwitch there is enough money going into something nothing is going out of already you know like the bush administration we got nothing outta that oh wait yes we did highest unemeployment of any president, highest deffecit and what the hell we get BROKE. So yes if there is no new science cut funding by all means we need no further exploration to nothing!!!! Unless you want to fund 36k hammer fund they are low, 25k toilet seat? jerkoff im 37

  • "no new science and exploration to nothing"?????? you sound like an ignorant american, who cares about your old age! didnt anyone ever tell you the world is flat and space doesnt exist...be on your way stupid american. go shoot a gun at a baby or something!

  • hehehehehe

  • yawn!...hohum!...what a waste of money

  • Does any 1 know how fast is the spaceshuttle travelling around the earth (from 1:38 to 2:05), I mean landspeed.

Does any 1 (msg me) how many Whites,Blacks,Chinese,Japanese,Koreans,Indians, etc working with NASA? How many Asian scientists are working in the R & D?

  • @AllahKongetMelayu I once hear about the speed, and it was about 22000 Km/hr..

  • who gives a fuck?

  • Holy crap, PheesKMP, are you twelve years old? Investing in sciences and technology doesn't lead to a regression in standard of living. In fact, it creates a demand for extremely well educated people and some very nice engineering, which leads to the OPPOSITE of what you're suggesting. I won't even bother getting into any of the long term benefits of a space program; I'll just leave it at that you have no idea what you're talking about. Go watch Star Trek.

  • That was true in the 60s and 70s. I'm not opposed to science or a space program at all. This is just the wrong one. The space station exists to give the space shuttle something to do. There is no new science coming out of any of this. Care to name anything other than the Hubble telescope (which has nothing to do with the space station and could have been done with conventional rockets) that has come out of this in the last 20 years?? Just imagine if all that money had gone into unmanned progs.

  • Well the ISS is an prototype home in space, because of it we are learning how to build cities in space. If the ISS exists to give the space shuttle something to do, then why hasn't every shuttle mission been to the ISS, and why is the shuttle being retired in 2010?

  • The shuttle is being retired because it is a failure, half the damn things blew up. Nothing has been built to replace it. The Russians will be the only nation capable of routinely putting a man in space. The US must have come to the same conclusion as me. The unmanned probe that found water on the moon - now that was a good return on investment and a tiny fraction of what was wasted on the space station and shuttle. And hubble of course.

  • Haven't you heard about the Orion program?

That's designed to replace the shuttle and bring people to the moon before 2020.. Google it! :)

  • Ricky, its all hype to hide the economic failure of shuttle. Orion can't go jack shit because its a capsule. It will sit atop Ares 1 that has similar lift capacity as the shuttle. So moon or mars landing in 2030 is bullshit unless they plan using it to build another craft in space. Guess getting out the old saturn V plans would be a bit too embarrassing even though Saturn V proved half as cheap as the shuttle in lifting weight into orbit (including inflation) and 4 times payload to boot.

  • Half of them blew up? Ok first they didn't blow up they disintegrated, and only 2 out of 120 missions. Sorry but the reason they're retiring it is because a shuttle can't go to the moon or mars, thats the point of the orion program.

  • They have seen how the human body reacts to long amounts of time in zero gravity, they have seen if they can grow plants and many other things, they have also shown that they can build a structure in space and keep it stable, want me to go on?

  • Pretty poor examples. What is the point of any of that? Those things are only any use on a space station whose purpose we are trying to justify in the first place. You are caught in circular logic there - the only good that has come out of the space station are things that are only usefull on a space station. And that is the best you have? Yes, please go on with some more examples.

  • They have had advances in robodic technology (canada arm ftw) they also have started the basis for a mission to another planet (who knows we may be able to live on mars in 60 years)

  • Space Arm is a good one (I'm Canadian too) but that would have/should ave/could have been developed anyway. It is remote control - it could be run from earth! Mostly it has been used on the space station - same argument as before. When it has been used to help repair a satellite e.g. Hubble - the shere cost of the shuttle and space station does not justify it - could have just built 10 of the Hubble (and every other satellite) instead.

  • still it advanced robotics :D and also the shuttle has shown us that we can maybe go to another planet and its better spending money on a space mission then a war

  • True but right now we are hitting all kinds of crisis that need immediate and expensive scientific investigation like climate change and peak oil and this happening during a global economic crises caused by the failure of capitalism. Not the time to spend resources on useless space travel or wars.

  • climate change is fake.. i already resurced that sorta stuff, the earth naturaly warms and cools over time oil yes but then again canada is sorta leading the way with alternative fuels, ps with climate change the earth is steadily cooling (we are heading into a mini iceage NOT CAUSED BY MAN)

  • Can you think of any reason why most of the worlds climate scientists and anyone else for that matter would fake somethink like climate change? What possible motive? While the motive of the deniers is obvious - they are funded by the oil companies and others with a vested interest. You have not done real research. Youtube videos and right wing and internet blogs are not research. You can find something to fit every viewpoint if you look hard enough.

  • jajajaja shure man, the man never got to the moon, hitler is still alive and im the easter bunny.

  • Man did get to he moon, hitlers dead, and the easterbunny never existered i just dont belive in climate change

  • Cool. But I wish it was in HD. Come on NASA, YouTube is taking videos here in 1080P now.

  • is this real or simulator

  • My question is:-What are they doing there?Falafill, kubba, dolma, birianee,or even pitza?

I think they are doing something that belongs to the 21st century, not the 6th,or 7th.I am sure of that.

  • it is night or day? 1:45

  • the is no such thing as day or night when you are in space

  • Well, that's up for debate. Many astronauts have said "day" and "night", judging by the sun where they are in space.

  • Awesome stuff!

  • Dude! There is only the HUMAN race! Racism is just like living in the OLD AGE!

  • @marijapan

    Good one.

  • The video is okay, but if I was in charge of NASA I would have named the Space Shuttle:Stargate Alantis(LOL just joking)!

  • @JakeJodoin or the Enterprise lol

  • Ha Ha!LMAO!Exactly, why should the ship have a boring name when people like us could give a name twice as better!

  • @JakeJodoin ya the nasa needs to hire us for our rare intelligence

  • Indeed,NASA should pay us a million dollars for every spectacular name we think up!!!

  • This video reminds me of 2001 : A Space Odyssey. Without the music.

  • pueden ponerle musica?q vale el pasaje alla?

  • cool

  • I CAN SEE MY HOUSE!!!!!!!

  • Is that Atlantis last flight?

  • ... too bad there's no sound!!

  • It's space, there is no sound.

  • There is sound in a space shuttle.

  • true that brother!!

    white power!

  • In space there is no sound so no one can hear you scream...

  • what is tis

  • C:\delete windows *.*

  • what the fuck?

  • wow that cool

  • laissez-moi tranquille...

    quelle bruit de horror!!!

  • most of the shuttles technology is 20 years old which this video clearly shows

  • so true ... no fucking 1080p res ... fuck ... what do i have this computer for!!!!

  • Tell me what you bought a computer for then,

    You're an idiot.

  • go away faggot.

  • i cant ... your mom keeps calling ... i wish i could be out of your life forever ... but i cant

just tell her to stop calling ... its getting kinda rediculous ...

would it help to know i didnt buy this computer? ... just making a funny comment??

your the fag trying to bash me ...

its embarassing ... dont message me here again ... tell your mom to stop txt'ing me too

  • what the fuck?

  • i know ... i couldnt believe it either ... all well

you can call me daddy soon enough

    she doesnt leave me alone

  • ahaha wow

Alright, you made tons of grammatical mistakes, you insult like a 12 year old. You make boring jokes, and you act like a idiot.

"your mom" jokes died years ago.

I suggest you stop acting like a idiot. You're probably not a idiot anyway.

  • i think i love you.....

  • You'd think they could afford HD cams.

  • ituieriojvaejnvhjhhulerghiljai;bam;

  • where is that BLOOOODY sound......

  • Where are you Arabs from all this?????

    Asleep???

  • its only boring till the ufo's show up...

  • I met Major Chris Hadfield at the Highland Games in 2000...he comes from my hometown

  • you guys are lucky...when you go over the great lakes more particularly Lake Huron, can you look out and say "Hi Deb"...if you had a horn would we hear it?

  • Breathtaking view.

  • It all looks so amazingly fragile, and yet it works.

  • You just imagine it looks fragile. Those are industrial grade constructs which are very sturdy and durable. It's like when you touch them and seem them in real life, they differ from toys and consumer products in that everything about them is as good as it gets. That's why I'm used to call them "Nasa" quality

  • You are boring.

  • ????????

  • Ion Cannon ready

  • just saw this on tv

  • I wonder why all of the solar panels on the station aren't facing the same way. I thought that was the whole point of the design. Are they working too good? Are they overloading the batteries? Are they operating correctly?

  • Go to the moon and build a a moon base .

  • Id say it's about bloody time! But that might be considered militarization of space.....and I think that was made illegal by a treaty.....

  • Not really, if the base is used for science or commerical interests.

  • their doing that soon

  • looks so weird.. doesn't look like they're high up enough to be floating...

  • In theory they can be lower ;) so long as theyre above the oxygen level, they can be in orbit. The speed that they need however to continue orbit gets higher and higher the closer to earth you are, so its hard to maintain very low earth orbit

  • They aren't floating. They are continuously falling and they are moving in a perpendicular direction to the fall, allowing them to follow the curvature of the earth.

  • So in this context... They are floating.

  • I know... I meant it *looks* weird because it looks like they're floating and they're not that far out in space.

  • Yeah. It does look weird.

  • what was the body of water they passed over?

  • Lo unico es que el alunizaje fue un montaje :S

  • cool!

  • yeah, pump some air into space and you will have your sound....

  • @marcinr92 lol :)

  • thats is beautiful

  • S O U N D

    sound!

  • would of been better with sound but cool video

  • Nice! Why they keep the space shuttle cargo bay open ?

  • The cargo bay doors have radiators built into them to cool the electronics in the shuttle, they are always open during orbit. Also, there is a communications transmitting dish that hangs out of the cargo bay right behind the crew compartment on the right side to transmit video, once that is stowed and bay doors close for landing, no more video to the ground.

  • Thanks for the info!

  • Which made me think, I hope they find a good alternative once the shuttle retires next year, if only to keep the streaming video's possible ;]

  • I'm sure they will, we have better technology now...
