@ZombehWolf that's actually very cool! I never noticed that before! The purple is actually the stove glowing red. The camera must not be as sensitive to that wavelength. I never noticed that before.
Isn't there a threat of rocks exploding when you boil them? Everyone keeps telling me not to boil because of that. They keep telling my to use really hot water and lemon juice instead of boiling.
Nice to see that it's ok with Quarts! =] (boiling is so much easier! XD) Quarts is really beautiful! I can't wait to see what it looks like in your other tank videos! =]
@AquaStudent agreed, I have boiled slate, gravel, pebbles, well many types of rocks. Exploding rocks now that would be interesting to watch. I would say only to make that possible is at least a 200 degree instant change in the temp. And also boiled many woods and barks and it never made them crack only hiss. Your more likely to break your ceramic/coil stove top before you see rocks fireworks.

@Litameena4chan I'm sure there could be problems with rapidly changing the temperature of any substance. I think that it is possible but very rare.
