  • this is not a fuckin tornado. here's a thought, LEARN what one is for fucks sakes.

  • Did the tornado mess up your emo bangs? Gay tunes man.

  • its just a low raincloud

  • Toronto needs tornado sirens.

  • nao quero mais ir para toronto

  • WHY D HELL R U PUTTING MUSIC!!

  • ya at best a wall cloud not a tornado nice view though.

  • Tornado watch where is live! Yikes~!

  • That's just a cloud idiot...

  • hmm a tornado in missisauga has not happenedfora long time now does that mean that missisauga is next?......if so im in big shit

  • that is just rain idiot

  • @Nephlabobo1 There was a tornado in Vaughan that day though idiot. And funnel clouds were also seen in T.O. Double idiot!

  • Ya listen to the song "take it away"!

  • 0:20 Giant Mushroom! Maybe its Friendly?!

  • you gotta love the mute button!

  • thats not a tornado -_____-

  • um i don't think its very smart to stand near a window when a tornado is near.....

  • Wheres the tornado?

  • i've lived in TORONTO for 40 years, that's the FIRST and ONLY tornado I've ever seen or heard about.

  • @donpazer thats cause it wasnt a tornado, thats why kids should not smoke crack. Nice job tubeo

    EPIC FAIL

  • There is actually nothing that look like a tornado. I think you should change the title of your video so people won't waste their time, waiting for a tornado that won't come...

  • @Yunelenna Yeah just change it to Tornado Warnings of August 20, 2009 in Toronto

  • This isnt a tornado.....by the way. I am a storm chaser. its just either scud or its a rain shaft moving in.

  • @CanadianStormchaser totally agree with you on it not being a tornado..and I beleive it was just rain but not sure lol.

  • @FallenAndForgotten24 Yeah definitely, mostly looks just like a rain shaft.....that storm is not even looking tornadic. Canadians don't think that we get tornadoes up here...we do,so this summer while you all are out camping and having fun, remember to always keep an eye on the weather, because safety is always first. Tornadoes can happen everywhere. This video is a perfectly good example of people who do not pay attention to the radio. If there really was a tornado, the sirens would have sound.

  • Yeah, it wasn't the first time one touched down in decades, because one didn't touch down! Seriously, there was one in vaughn that day, but some Torontonians like to think that all of Southern Ontario is Toronto and includes something they can brag about. Definitely not a Tornado at Yonge and Bloor!

  • @realvek haha who wants to brag about that??

  • Wow, I would be scared to death. You dont see that in Holland O.o

  • @rivalcf4 We were saying the same thing here in Toronto. First time one touched down in decades.

  • That music was so appropriate for a Tornado although I might have used 009 sound machine instead.

  • Microburst maybe but definitely NOT a tornado.

  • Were any building destoryed like an earthquake? Was in the summer?

  • thats not a tornado, thats a big cloud

  • a pretty cool looking storm for sure, but it sure ain't a tornado.

  • not a tornado just a crazy lookin wall cloud...

  • @triznap True that but 13 Tornadoes touched down that day I was at wonderland when it happend and 3 of them was behind our bus.

  • @triznap Tornado came with it :P it was in the Vaughn part of toronto.

  • nice!!!^_^nice music!!!

  • what happend to the acc

  • Did you know: that tornadoes seek out people that post videos of them dubbed with unfitting music?

This has been a Minute of Knowledge with Professor Scrotes.

  • ok that's nice put i don't see a touchdown......

  • Like the video, but music is not a good match at all:(

  • You're the craziest for being by a window and taping this! O_O

  • @AmandaPancakes

ahah, i would love to film it too... :\

  • I saw a wall cloud and a rain core, but no tornado. Was it obscured?

  • @shadowblade145 what is it with you and shitty comments?

  • nah i was there there was actually a tornado or two that happened near downtown, it was like an F2 or something, there was a part where u can see literally nothing on the highwayexcept white clods and rain

  • gods hand?

  • that was not a tornado retards

  • @shadowblade145

At least out kids meal only has 4 nuggets; on the other hand, you have 10 ? WOW. ahaha

  • @SilkeyLeaves I do think I may have started a US vs Canada war unintentionally. How awesome at diplomacy am I? Oh and I don't live in the US by choice. I'd much rather Live in Canada or Europe (Scotland to be exact)

  • What the fuck is it with all these videos of the Canadian tornados with shitty music?

  • @shadowblade145

Whats with all the American tordnado videos and your fattness?

  • @SilkeyLeaves I'm not saying I don't like seeing Tornado videos in different countries, but all of the videos of Canadian Tornados either have really un-fitting music or just plain stupid music.

  • @SilkeyLeaves Ah and I can't resist telling you that Canada has double Big Macs.

  • a wall cloud

  • This storm was tornado warned but what you are seeing here is called a shelf cloud which is located at the front of the storm. Rain cooled, out-flowing winds race out on the leading edge of the storm and low rolling clouds condense over the out flow and spin backwards. Tornadoes are associated with wall clouds and almost always occur on the southwest edge of a storm. For this reason they are usually encountered as the storm is exiting.

  • Ya, music ruined it.

  • I'm in bobcaygeon. I can't believe how close this was

  • i'm so lucky to be here !! there's no tornadoes here ! in the whole history of the country just 1 tornado happened was in 2004 or 2003 everyone was talking about it !! it was scary

  • @kokym8 you mean in toronto? there's enough of them around toronto but not actually in it. and ya there was another one last night =/

  • @shawteeChiLLz

no i said i'm so lucky to be here (in palestine)

but i'm really shock cuz now i began to realize things in the climate and i;m shock becuz storms and tornadoes happen in the summer ?!?!?!?! is it normal or the climate gone really insane

  • @kokym8 ohh i see. but i think its a combination of both. Technically it's storm season so if there's going to be bad storms and tornadoes it would be now that they'd happen =P. But when I was little I never saw so many tornado warnings and watches on the weather network and now i see them too often.

  • looks like a south american M TV commercal

  • Plain White T's - Take me away

  • i remember that storm.. this clip is not a tornado tho. a big storm.

  • Could have done without the rock soundtrack.

  • I'll never forget that day lucky I was at my friends house she lives on Young and Finch. She was asleep and I was in the living room and all of a sudden power went out got dark I looked outside and said holy shit woke my girl up told her to get he camcorder she said why I go to her there is a tornado coming she like freaking out,She hid in the washroom while I was taping it all.She is such a coward.I thought it was cool.I would love to have another storm like that AGAIN.

  • this is just the storm front... it looks really crazy only cuz ur in a skyscraper..

  • i dont care if yuh dont believe me but i was on rutherford road last year and i saw the tornado up close and if im not mistaken but it was close to pearson airport

  • looks like a cold front

  • Thats a fucking funnel cloud the tornado was in richmond hill ontario and in lindsay ontario, i was in the lindsay tornado talk about scary shit

  • when the tornados hit i was at a Kenny Chesney concert! i watched the whole thing form the american express lounge which was a tent! what song is he using its great!

  • I could not believe this ... I'm living in mississauga and all spit out all my guts went when I saw this ...It is much to say since all my life my life I lived in miami where hurricanes happened every year ... that's the results of global warming .... we should find better ways to use energy ... for example, good suggestions are in channel

  • Why the music?

  • que feo

  • That was a nasty ass storm i was in the car when it hit!

  • to become crazier

  • what is with the fucking stupid teen music

  • you're stupid. music is music....gosh

  • seriously mabe he is a teen

  • I would've jumped into the tornado and flown to oz. Then I could sing a merry tune and dance with the midgets:

We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of oz!

  • I've lived in the GTA my whole life and I've never seen any tornadoes

  • Tornado's a fairly common in Canada, Environment Canada indicates we have about an average of 80 Tornado's the second most in the world behind the U.S. They are rare in large urban area's, which is what we had in August. Southern Ontario including parts of the GTA are in Canada's tornado alley.

  • Manitoba and eastern Saskatewan also get a lot of tornadoes.

  • Saskatchewan mainly. Manitobs, rarely, its Alberta and Saskatchewan and Ontario that see the action :P

  • this isn't a tornado

  • i agree it's just a cloud or a storm

  • @kdmq noone cares about the praries

  • @kdmq lol obsly... but we torontians dont experience this often

  • @kdmq yeah but nobody cares about Manitoba or Saskatchewan.

  • tornadoes are very rare in canada

  • Sorry - Music not required - I wanted to hear the bang bang, crash crash!

  • @jazz1on

    Great video: lose the audio.

  • @jazz1on

Great video: lose the audio. Awesome, otherwise. (turning audio to off: like everybody else).

  • However, the strong jet stream aloft and wind shear which can cause thunderstorm updraft to start rotating are unusual for our area during summer, they normally occur during the fall, winter and spring. So we seldom see tornadoes, except during a token warm among a bunch of cold days, with the cold air about to move back in. In other seasons, we can get the strong wind shear, but then the air here is usually too cold to for a thunderstorm updraft to occur.

  • i live in Toronto together with my aunt and uncle they said its unusual to have this kind of weather but good thing it didn't reach us cause we live in that apartment there and well we had hail and heavy rain showers and well a little of the lightning =/ but who cares i love watching tornadoes XD

  • i agree with you i was trying to tell the person there that it was a tornado, i live in belleville and we even had tornado warnings.

  • i live in trenton n we had that too

  • Yup that is a funnel cloud. I wouldn't say "cool", more like cold. When you have an unusually cold summer like this year, then there is greater chance of seeing a tornado around here. All the big tornado events in southern Ontario I can remember happened in cold summers.

  • i always thought a tornado will happen usually when the airs warm or humid?

  • it was warm n humid tht day...

  • I was on vacation in Toronto first time...It was a terrible experience for me...

    Cristina - Italy

  • lol a tornado happens when you visit toronto, what are the chances of tht. i don't think a tornado has touched down in toronto in the last 50 years

  • The air was humid that day, and seasonably warm, but nothing unusual - a typical summer day which didn't occur often this year. 3 ingredients to make a tornado are a dividing line between warm humid air and colder air to the west (Michigan in our case), strong winds a few miles above (called a jet stream), and the direction of the wind aloft is different from that near the ground. Around Toronto on Aug 20, surface wind was from south while there was a strong jet stream from the SW.

  • It looks like a massive penis.

  • What a very epic comparison.

  • yea i think that was a cloud, the tornadoes were up in the suburbs, i live near it so yea...

  • Wow I didn't even give a big deal about the storm when it was around. I just thought it was a normal storm, until I see all these videos. Very interesting.

  • The other day in Hamilton... I was relaxing early morning and all of a sudden a huge bolt hit somewhere near my house. Scared the crud out of me it was so loud and so random? The last strike was hours before this one... Like it bilt up or somthing..

Earlier that night/morning we heard one that sounded like vibration/rubbing/colliding bolts? It was really cool sounding.

  • i think that was a cloud

  • why that loud music

  • that storm was big. xD

my power went out so many times. x.x

  • this tornado was unbeliveible and i was so shoked :O i was so luckey that it did not hit here but i feel so bad for other peoples houses i wish i can help but i cant and one of my felitives and his frend came from italy and they were near they luckey they did not get hit

  • cool

  • One young boy died in a daycamp from flying debris, but that was the only casualty.

  • yea the only casualty but listen a kid think what the familly lost because of this storm that just poped up like someone pucnhing you and wow just i cant belive this im living in mississauga and in all of my 12 years of life in toronto and mississauga i have never seen a thunder storm this big

  • wrong, he was crushed by a lean too type deal which is again sad.

  • Cool footage, but that's not a tornado. That's just the storm front moving in.

  • did anyone die from these tornadoes?

  • I used to work at Younge/Bloor...crazy weather, God's judgement is comming!

  • I work there that day is this for real?

  • yeah from where i we got some of the storm but we didnt know it was THAT bad until we looked on the news.

my little bro even looked out our window and said "looks almost like there are tornadoes!" and no one believed him. well now we know he was right!

  • Thanks for posting the footage.

    The music, however, is garbage.

    Garbage. In general.

Not to mention that there is NO need to underscore an awesome display of nature that speaks for itself without any sound.

I hope this music isn't all you listen to, it makes me afraid for the future of humanity.

  • so that explains why it was so yellow outside that day :O

*and bad choice of music. ;)

  • WHAT THE HELL!? I DID NOT SEE A TORNADO ON BLOOR.. wdf!?!

i live on a street right infront of bloor. it was just a big thunderstorm .. how.. omg.. weird..

  • glad i was in vegas when this happened :P it destroyed my friends house

  • i no i was in manitoba for 2 weeks when this happended i got back last night from drving for 2 days! good to be back! and its nice and sunny!

  • and humid as hell :P

  • that was one shit of a storm. lol it rained like crazy then!

  • what kind of an idiot would put that kind of music to a serious situation like this?????

  • easy there iron maiden

  • what's with the shit music?

  • By The Way we are part of Tornado alley here in ontario

  • At least we don't get it as bad as other places.

  • Who else seen a leprechaun, say yeaaah!

  • If it was the end of the world, you probably wouldn't be posting on youtube the day after...

  • and just think they were only F2 tornados that hit ontario. Can you imagine what an F4 or F5 could do. The one in BArrie in 85 was an F4 and Edmonton had an f4 also.

  • there was another tornado in Markham the day after. Is the end of the world happening or something?

  • it is the end of the world

  • its not the end of the world, tornadoes have hit ontario years ago and they were way worse,

btw this is just a cloud, wtf.

  • it's a pretty scary looking cloud. And it has a debris cloud in it which indicates it may have been trying to form in a tornado.

  • Called a wall cloud, not a tornado. BTW, what is with the toronto tornado videos and their completely horrible BS music.

  • HOLA!

  • BTW that's not even close to a tornado.

  • gotta give props to the 680News staff. that thing passed right over their studios, and they kept it cool. great job!

  • Umm K that was just a cloud. And the music sucks ass.

  • In Vaughan, 600 houses were damaged and 200 have to be torn down. The houses were all evacuated. Vaughan is now ghost town. :S

  • um... that didn't look like a tornadoe

  • When i use to live in Jamaica i saw 3 Hurricanes in 1 week...so scary, like tress and roofs were gone! :|

  • OMG hurricane bill made land fall like 2 days after this

  • I was at the gym and these douchebags were like. OMG GUYS DID YOU SEE THE THUDNER AND THE HURRICANE. Bahaha. Fucking idiots. I was just outside the mall when one grounded in the parking lot near leons. Seriously this was so unexpected.

  • Beautiful Wall cloud. Im Suprised one didnt touch down in Toronto

  • Hurricane Bill's aftermath.....

  • Umm no

  • I didn't even realize there was a tornado i was wondering why the sky was black. I live in Oakville and the storm was realy bad but no tornado in oakville.

  • Diz was da most scariest day eva

  • with that many views you could get Toronto to be the first to expose the truth. And if you don't know yet, nows a perfect time to start.

Come on by to my side bar in my Another Man Made Toronto Tornado vid.

It's time to rally together. For realz!!!

  • wow. Cool

don't forget to pass it on.

    Man made!!!

come see my links at my small vid.

Not as impressive as yours but still quite scary and especially knowing it's CHEMTRAILS and Haarp..even scarier.

    Expose filthmcnasty Harper!!!!

  • people were warned, most people dont expect weather like this to hit them, they dont think its possible.

  • I'm talking about thunder storms, lightning storms, massive winds, hale, what was that explosion at the gas facility (no one fukin knew until they started talking 6 hours later) TV, media, radio is DEAD, weather network is far off with their predictions - im not even talking about frikin tornados.

As a ceo i would fire my crew for such F-UPS, but everything that is media and city related is so rotten to the core that we just need to pray that things stay calm in all fronts...!

  • They werent far off, they predicted severe thunderstorms and issued warnings, it was fine. You cant do anything about a tornado, all you can do is hide, nobody died , they did their job.

AND FYI it took 25 minutes for people to figure out the propane explosion and was on the news about 30 minutes after it happened

If your looking for a forum to post your opinion on media your in the wrong place.

  • I'm not talking about tornados, a pesron did get killed! as well as a kid from a lightening storm?!! the weather ppl are F'UPS!

Don't give me BS about the propane incident I live close by, turned the radio to all AM stations - they didn't have an F'N clue whats going on??! TV was showing fukin ads instead of going live.

I was in the army and those explosions sounded like shells, 50 people from my neighbourhood escaped (so don't give me that BS?! what are you a kid?!)

  • yup a little boy died at a camp site and another boy got hit by lighting on a soccer field. also a girl was texting in her house and she was struck by lightning ...scary.

  • There was no fault in the media due to the child's death, they told people there were storms, and as I said before, there nothing else they can do but tell people

I live in the area too when the propane explosion went off i woke up immediately due to its shockwave and luckily since I wasnt close enough there was no damage to my house or anyone around us, and as I said i remember quite clearly at 5 oclock in the morning turning on CP24 and watching the news.

  • What?? the first explotion woke me up around 3:45 ?? so wtf ur talking about amigo?!

CP24 was dead up until 9:00am when those dumbasses woke up to work that's when they confirmed what happened - up until that moment it was all speculations...

  • LOL your ignorance is hilarious!

CP24 starts its morning broadcast at 5AM so your wrong there

Anyways its no use in arguing was someone like you, I've had to before and all you can do is restate your facts because sorry buddy, your wrong, and just in case your were wondering I am a kid, but I believe that's quite irrelevant.

  • Yep...it's all speculation until confirmed by the "authorities".

  • fuck you

  • it took off part of my roof

  • man i live in trenton got jack all for a storm awsome light show in the back ground then a lil cold front and rain thats it trenton sucks for storms

  • i was in markham when this happend so
