  • Christ this is inspirational.

  • @joesourdough - been six months since this got a visit. Happy to see it still connects with people. Thanks.

  • I have a charcoal etching I did back in 1980 I did that looks just like this. My inspiration was feeling like the guy in the photograph and a picture in a book I had in my possession at the time. I am right now looking for it in my garage since I didn't chuck it. I got rid of a lot of things when I was younger that I wish I had not now. To see this in your swell video was very startling to say the least. When I find it I will post it for you so you can see what I see.

  • @callmemisterscott That is very cool. Yes, this was done from a photograph... probably the same one. I think it might have been from a book of fine photos taken during the Great Depression years.

  • What was the inspiration for the seated man holding his head and face near the end of this video?

  • @callmemisterscott I can't remember if it was Makers Mark, Jim Beam or Johnny Walker... but it was that plus the increased evidence of indigent people here in downtown Chicago.

  • smooth as velvet....

  • @brikinahonix Smiles from here..... thanks.

  • That sounds pretty damn good

  • @poboy79403 Thanks. Don't get a lot of visits here. Nice to know it is still getting watched a little.

  • Who is this and does he have a record? Thanks.

  • @TooNice4Ya I checked out your channel and you surprised me. Along with "My Destiny" you had "Beethoven Moonlight Sonata Mov 1" liked. Then you seem to dig this as well. I think that is very cool. So in answer to your question. It is just me on my funky old guitar and my friend Brad singing and playing harp. Come on over to my Channel. You might find some other stuff you like. Thanks for the interest.

  • Bookmarked!

  • @MarshallRoxxx Glad you dig it. Thanks.

  • you are really good!

    Stephane

  • Thanks for taking the time to listen to this Stephane. Much appreciated. :o)

  • Glad you liked that Frank. You can't beat that Fender sound for this kind of thing.... as you well know.

  • I'm crying for 2 reasons, this song is so good and the fact that you are leaving the Ytube. You have no idea how much you'll be missed by myself and many others. Take care of yourself and the best of luck in all your future endeavors. -Charlie

  • Charlie... I got your email address. We're cool. We'll keep the connection. Thanks for all the support my friend.

Sorry it took so long to get here...backlog from during my absence...lol

  • Fully understood Tom. Impossible to watch all the videos I get in a day. Have had to make it selective. Those who watch me.. I watch them. Others get the 20 second rule. Grab me in 20 seconds or I gotta move on. Nothing personal, just the time thing. Thanks for taking the time.

  • it is always my pleasure...you do so many things, and so well that I am continually amazed.I wonder if there is anything you CAN'T do?(besides picking winning Lottery numbers)

  • Oh brother how I wish I could do that.. I could use a windfall about now.

  • 5 stars

  • :o) Thanks.

  • great job guys the singing was a little over the top trying to be "bluesy" and just came off kinda silly to be quite honest but the guitar had some serious mojo and most important SOUL

  • An honest opinion on YouTube. A rare occurrence :o) Glad you liked the guitar work and thanks for dropping by. Cheers.

  • Fine, fine Blues! Great playing Lance! Cheers Good Sir!

  • Thanks Ed. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for dropping by.

  • Great blues, first song I listened to this morning, great way to start the day :)

  • A little blues and a little Joe. Sounds good to me. Thanks.

  • Lance, you feel the Blues inside man, the perfect guitar sound (beautiful edge) for this style. This must have been played through a tube Amp, with very precise settings of the distortion. And I really got goose bumps from this singer, one of the best Blues voices I've ever heard,Lance where you get all these guys from? Lance what pedal are you using here(and Amp?),great(tube-like) sound man, you're making jeaulous, really great Blues, greets Vic.

  • Wow! Talk about making my day. The day I can make Victor van Kampen jealous is a great one for me. The answer is that it is a Blues Junior with reverb set on 5. The pre-amp on 7 and the master on 3. I'm playing a strat with the switch set on the 2nd position back from full bass. Then I play with the guitar's bass control knob until I get the sound. As to Brad, I went to a harmonica class at the Old Town School here in Chicago and heard he was a natural. He's been playing with me ever since.

  • Yeah ,lance I figured out it was something like that,I immediately heard it was a Tube Amp, yeah those Fenders sound Cool man,I feels those good old Tubes glowing in the dark lighting the path for this super Blues, now do I hear Muddy's foot tapping along, sorry it's my Imagination,LOL,Vic.

  • It's so important to get the sound. I find that when the sound is right the feel and inspiration come easy. But if you don't have the sound you spend all your creative energy looking for it. Best to you my friend.. And thanks for the input.

  • Sweet Raw Blues Lance and Brad! Loved it my friends! 5 Stars! PEACE!~Ted

  • Thanks Ted. Brad has the voice for it for sure.

  • Real fine Lance,...nice pics too!...a Blueberry Jam

  • Thanks Ross. You're a little slow on the uptake these days. You're usually first 'o)

  • Fabulous blues number...earphones required though. :) Also loved the video... 5/5

  • Thanks suuzzee5... yep, headphones. Pictures looked like they needed posting. Glad you liked them.

  • Yes, nine minutes is daunting for someone on dial-up! But it was worth the download time. Awesome - guitar, vocals, harmonica, and video. Five stars and saving to my favourites.

  • Dial up takes commitment. We sure do appreciate it. Thanks.

  • Wonderful song Lance...Could not get the volume up loud enough though....other than that....its another freaking brilliant contribution to the pile...

  • Headphones my man, Headphones. Sorry about that.

  • Can the white man play and sing the blues?

These two guys certainly can, excellent blues Lance and Brad, and yes, very authentic sounding!!

Never ending stars for both of you on this fantastic song and video

peace love and lots of hugs

    Di
