[He is 22 yrs old and Black] He never paid too much attention to my hair but when I decided to go natural he was the most supportive person I knew! He was there with my from my big chop to where I am now, a full year later. if you haven't, I would recommend watching kimmaytube. It will save you money and break the habit of being a product junkie. I'm no expert but from my research the only thing that you need for healthy hair growing is a good oil, conditioner, weekly cleaning, and a positive outlook.

great video...great husband..he is sooo supportive..alot of black men arent cool with the frizzy bushy edges..as far as the products..I recently started using vasoline in my hair and it really works..it lays the friz down and keeps the scalp from drying and makes my hair softer..plus its really inexpensive..I recently did my first hair vid I am 2 years and 7months natural so believe me it definately gets easier with time just stick with it

i wish a lot of black men felt like that but the truth blac men claim they dnt like women with weave buit yet they still want them to have long straight hair like a white women but the reality not everybody will have the nice curly good hair like somebody like amanda lewis or chilli u hardly ever see a famous person with a black women with her natural hair its always straight i want to see for ones a young black famous man with a sister with dreads

@2hottric very true, many men do want some model type long haired exotic woman that you wont see everyday on the streets, but I feel like if he is a real man & you are a virtuous woman who exudes confidence he will see past your hair & want to get to know you no matter what race he is. If he doesn't see that then he was not worth getting to know anyway (and it's better 2 know that now, rather than later right Queen ;^) Remember u don't need ALL men to love you. Just the one who was meant 4u.

@2hottric - i agree! i wish more men who R public figures wore dreads (maybe even politicians). I think dreads look powerful on men esp when its well kept (women too). I think i wil see more in my lifetime...young ones @least (besides Lil Wayne &Lenny Kravitz etc). When i graduated from college guys w/beautiful dreds cut it to get "jobs"...they still dont have jobs. i am saddened when a guy cuts his dreds to get a job. If a job cant focus on your skillset--not your hair, dont work for them!

@2hottric good hair? Please stop with the nonsense. Straight hair gets lice, and doesn't protect against anything. Thats actually not good at all. Kinky hair protects against all weather conditions and doesn't get lice. Thats good hair. Also, If a guy is brainwashed by racist white media than his feelings aren't even true. hahahahah my hubby feels your hubby! :P He just hates my constant talking about HAIR :P He just thinks he loves me anyway. PERIOD :) But he really supports me too. I' doin my BC today and he will the one cutting my hair. He loves my "Go Natural" journey.. he just doesnt wanna me talking about with 24/7.. and i think we usually do LOL.. at least in the beggining

if you haven't, I would recommend watching kimmaytube. It will save you money and break the habit of being a product junkie. I'm no expert but from my research the only thing that you need for healthy hair growing is a good oil, conditioner, weekly cleaning, and a positive outlook.

I love your video, i too have asked my husband MANY times, does my hair look ok? I had hair down my back , i transitioned for 5 months then did the big chop! You're beautiful and your hair looks great! I've been natural for six months and it took awhile for me to see it as "pretty". Now, I can't see myself any other way and the few times I've straightened it in the past few years, I didn't even like it!
Short hair gives you a chance to really see your bone structure (this is based on my ANTM knowledge, LoL)!

great video...great husband..he is sooo supportive..alot of black men arent cool with the frizzy bushy edges..as far as the products..I recently started using vasoline in my hair and it really works..it lays the friz down and keeps the scalp from drying and makes my hair softer..plus its really inexpensive..I recently did my first hair vid I am 2 years and 7months natural so believe me it definately gets easier with time just stick with it

Great video!!! I really appreciate Justin's honesty and view of natural hair. He's right inthat we are beautiful regardless of how we choose to wear our hair. Natural or Relaxed hair is not what makes you beautiful...it's how you carry yourself and your inner confidence of your beauty. I love being natural and discovering all that I can do with my hair; I can't see me ever going back to a relaxed state. But however I choose to wear my hair I have to KNOW that I'm beautiful from the inside.
