KOL's new album has some pathetic, generic, corporate rock shit on it. I am all for changing and evolving as a band and that is why I loved "Arizona" and "Knocked Up" from Because of The Times. That is authentic, credible change. But "I Want You" and "Notion" are songs that Nickelback or 3 Doors Down would write, not KOL. These guys had such incredible potential and they threw it all away. I hope they learn their lesson and come up with a great comeback record in a couple of years.

it's still frusterating that they don't make their old type of music anymore; i think that's what people are getting at. They use to be a lot heavier. i prefer old kol

love only by the night... needs more faster tuns like slow night. but its a brilliant album, and it really shows how the guys have grown.
i wonder what happened to calebs car?
they didnt show it in the home movies...

shouldnt it be more about whether you enjoy the actual songs rather than trying to avoid manipulation by the corporations? no matter how much of a wicked free thinker you believe you are, i challenge you to say that you live completely independently of outside influences. music is the same. dont fight it so much and with an open mind you could actually accept that music progresses and appreciate the efforts of the boys

If you come out and badmouth KOL because you don't like the new record, just how big of a fan are you ?? May I remind us all that for every band that someone just discovered, someone else liked them before that. If people on here like the new disc, then so be it. Some people came on early in their career, some people just found them. Everyone lighten up and let music be enjoyed and interpreted by the individual listener, like it was meant to be.

Here here...i only discovered the band with their "sex is on fire" song..so what if its commercial? Im not a fan but this song rocks and it makes me wanna go back to see what songs came before and hopefully i will like them just as much or even better, if it wasnt for the "commericalism" of Sex is on fire..i prob would not have heard of KOL and i wouldnt have paid for the song and my pound wouldnt be in their pockets..im sure the band would agree with my thinking.

0mG I love this band.. and adaviesprof.. maybe they went for a more pop sound to sell more. Don't abandon them just because they may have just been being economically smart. I can't say i knew abt them until Sex on the fire came out recently but from what I am hearing they have been a pretty original band, and I give them major cred for market smarts and music originality. Come on be a LOYAL fan!!

sorry i dont agree with the angry kol fan on here giving out about them selling out but.... you cant really say you love this band if sex is on fire was what got you into them, its the most cynically poppy radio friendly unit shifter type song theyve ever done and nowhere near their best song... if that was the only song that reached you , you need to change your outlets or stations you listen to possibly

and this coldplay business.... coldplay wasnt the first band to make music like they do. Quit acting like coldplay is the most original band on this planet. Theyre damn good. I am a big fan of coldplay. Martin has an incredible voice.... but everyone has their influences. Im so glad we dont have another yaym on our hands. Repetition is annoying and so far Kings have kept us on our toes. Live with it and learn to love it.
