@ParkisFB Some smoke shops will sell them, other then that you need to ask a borosilicate glass blower to make you one. We had the great Gibson make us an army of them, and we've sent a bunch out around north america. Gibson can be found on tokecity.com under the name GibsonGlassworks.

Did you know you can get visuals from budder? Its true if you eat an extremely strong dose that has been put into a single edible, you will get mushroom like visuals. Put like 2 or 3 grams of budder into only one edible and youll get visuals. An example of the visuals would be the designs on the floor moving around. I did it today and I was pretty surprised to actually get decently strong hallucinations, mostly the floor was morphing.

Thanks for this video, I have made oil in the past but wasn't sure on the whipping process for budder. If you live in the UK I recommend London Gas from pound land rather than Calibri. Also using a teflon bag instead of a glass dish to extract into works better as the oil doesn't stick to it. All the best. JB

@7322daniel Extraction and evaporation are the dangerous stages that should be done outside. By the time the dish is inside there is no danger of an explosion anyways. I just wouldn't put my oil into water, I like the dish method. If there is water in your oil and you vaporize it off of a titanium pad it sizzles and flies everywhere. Not gonna have a good time.

@wildsillywilly55 I wouldn't suggest consuming large quantities on the gas, but solvents are used in lot's of things we use and ingest, just a matter of properly removing the solvent from what you extracted when you're done. To a great number of us, Butane Honey Oils are our safer alternative to smoking the large amount of cannabis we were before we moved onto extracts. Rolling paper and plant matter aren't great things for your lungs, so we isolate the oils we want and enjoy that instead.

@Mr420ways Then you're also burning off flavor turpenoids and other good things about the oil. You don't need a blazing hot dish to get butane out, it just needs to be warm. It will evaporate at room temperature if you let it.

2) May cause big ass fire ball explosion in your face, burn down your house... so yeah, make the oil outside, bring the dish in when the butane is evaporated out.

3) You're doing good getting a gram per quarter of green. Doing great getting 1.5, need better chron if it's just a tiny .5

4) 2 coffee filters is safe, double the cheese cloth once or twice, little bits can still get through one layer of cheese cloth

Our glass tubes are picked up at a local seed and bong store. There's alternatives you can use, including the honey-bee-extractor which is commonly sold in headshops but is made of plastic. If you know any glass blowers, that's a good place to ask around too.

The evaporated butane is extremely flammable. It's heavier then air so it pools in your house, so anything from static electricity to a spark will pretty much result in blowing up that room of the house.

Id be glad to give you Prooof....Its logic...

If there are chemicals in your butane, OTHER than butane...

When you boil off the butane to collect your budder, any extra chemicals in the butane will not be evaporated (Unless they happen to evaporate at the same temp as butane) and will therefore remain in your remaining product.

Its just kind of logic. Whatever chemicals you dont get out of your budder can come back to bite you.

Poor quality butane is usually made up of other cheap fuels so it can be sold inexpensively.

If anyone doubts this, make some oil with quality butane and then use some cheap stuff. Each cheap company leaves its own bad taste.

You can't expect quality product or medicine to be made from dollar store supplies.

I wish I had my own place so I could do this. The non polarity of the butane and hexane matches the non polarity of the THC and cannibinoids perfectly. Whereas alchohols and methonol are slightly, or dominately polar, or contain water which is polar, resulting in more clorophyl and plant fibers in the product. Only risky thing about butane and hexane is the flamibility.

The Coffee Filter's fibers has a width of about 20 microns (1 micron = 1 millionth of a meter).

We've now moved onto Cheesecloth for the reason that we've busted through the coffee filter's a few times while making budder. If the filter tares while blasting, your product is pretty screwed.

Our local head shop fortunately carries them. So try your most educated shop in your area. If they don't carry it, maybe make an excuse to take a little trip to a big city out of town and try their shops. If those don't work, look for a glassblower willing to be commissioned to make you one or deal with a plastic or pvc pipe alternative. But glass is always best!
