  • Is this the same method for a brand new blank cartomizer also? If I choose to use a drip tip I don't put the gasket back in correct?

  • @JohnnySack187 For a new blank carto, I take off both booties and the rubber tip (there's no gasket in these cartos anymore). Then I fill up the top bootie with eliquid and push the carto into it. Put on the bottom bootie, turn it over, pull off the top bootie and fill up the carto. Let it soak in more, top it off, put the top bootie back on and let it sit overnight. Pull off the bottom bootie 1/2 way and let the excess run out. Take off the top, put on a drip tip, blot any excess, done.

  • Yo Jan can you clean those out with water ?

  • @dp1582 Yes, you can clean them out with water. I used to put a dozen in my jewelry cleaner with some everclear & pg and "buzz" them overnight, then rinse, and dry in the sun thoroughly. The trick to any cleaning is letting them dry out completely and quickly. But now that I've caught onto never vaping them all the way empty, but keeping them wet with juice all the time, I've not found a need to clean them, they'll last a couple of weeks and then I toss them.

  • Hey steeljan!, I was just wondering if I can use e-juice with an 60/40 PG/VG mix in blank volt carts?

  • @tinaBOOBina Yes you can use 60/40 pg/vg in these cartomizers. I've even used straight VG but have trouble getting it to soak into the fibers, it tends to want to blob down the center and flood the coil. By far these, and most, cartomizers wick and perform best with pg, but I've used 80/20 or even 60/40 without a bunch of problems. Cheers!

  • love your videos! how many times can you refill a volt carto?

  • @Amber77k When I put more in before I ever let it get dry, they last a long time. The one I'm vaping now I've been using for 2 weeks and I'm seeing how much longer it will last. Typically when they finally get funky tasting or the draw gets stiffer, I toss 'em. But I used to clean them overnight in a jewelry cleaner with pg & everclear, dry them out in the hot sun, and they'd just keep going like new. Darker, sweeter eliquids tend to crud up the coil fast, so I stick with light stuff. tks

  • Can you do a video on how to tell when a Volt Carto is empty, when it should be tossed, and maybe an approved way to clean one? :)

  • @SonicYooth I've got that on my "to do" list. A few videos ahead of it to make first, more stuff came in to review. But yes, I definitely am going to make a cleaning and "when to toss" video. Cheers!

  • lol Jan <3 great video

  • @GrimmGreen I sing for you. :D Cheers!

  • I prefer the first method of filling... not nearly as messy and easy to do on the fly.

  • @AlcoholLevel Yep, me too, unless I'm filling a bunch of cartomizers at a time. Thanks for watching. Cheers!

  • hey i just needed to ask you if you have vaped for more than six months and had side effects like chest hurts and so on??

  • @MrPoppinballz I've been vaping for 9 months although I quit smoking years ago. The only time I've had bad experiences were with some e-liquids I tried that made my mouth sore, same thing happened when I vaped too hot of a vapor, like at higher voltages or lower-resistance atties/cartomizers. This is another reason I'm loving the Volt, I'm having a really consistent experience with it.

Chest pains or the like with vaping? -- For me, not ever, not at all. Thanks for watching, cheers!

  • @steeljan yea well there will be a time where we just wake up and realize that vaping doesnt have to be expensive... just something consistent that suits... personally i think the kr-808 d is one of the best yet...the volt is kinda of the same concept..... i have been experiencing chest pains wiith pg juice... probably my allergy .. haha anywayz thanks...
