  • It 's such a nice surprise to find this on YouTube ! This is a song I liked a lot when it came out, yet it did not make the Top Twenty, and I've NEVER heard it on the radio, all those 47 years since..... Thank you !

  • great 60s beat...not heard this before..thanks

  • I still have my RUST 45rpm of this song and never thought I'd hear it again. Great song fueled by a jangly guitar. Wonder who the session guy was. Thanks for putting it on youtube

  • I like this - really driven by that percussion. I'm surprised I've just now discovered him but so much was happening in the UK then - Thanks for posting! I'll look for this now

  • he is very much with us and resides in North London---;)

  • @M4RK3GAN Still in Nth London. So pleased to hear that. I met him around 62/63. I hope he has a family and a happy life.

  • just found this and delighted to hear it, it brings back memories of my dear cousin Robert ( bobby shafto)

  • @M4RK3GAN Oh dear does this mean he is no longer with us?

  • Who the HELL is Bobby Shafto???

  • Thanks for posting this great song. Haven't heard it in years!

  • Nice one. I like it. But does anyone have "See Me Cry" please? I think that's what it's called. I heard it for the first time on the radio last night and I liked it.

    Annie :)

  • @annie482000 Saw your posting. I have the record "See me cry" sung by Bobby Shafto

  • @badmuts50 I'm still trying to find it here on YT but with no luck. Can you upload it, please? I'd be grateful!

  • @annie482000 Coming up soon annie482000

  • @badmuts50 thanks I look forward to that

  • @annie482000 Here it is: Bobby Shafto (click UK-banner)

  • Judging by the discography in the description of this video, i'll guess his I'll Never Get Over You was never relelased in the UK?

  • I found a copy of this on the Rust label at a record store in the Bronx on Third Avenue near 149th Street many, many years ago. I later found out it was his only national chart item.

  • His other stuff is very good as well.... he had a number of follow up singles on Rust, and he definitely should've had a hit with I'll Never Get Over You / Who Wouldn't Love A Girl Like That, but radio was too busy with other british invasion acts to take notice.

  • I heard this song when I was 11 way back in 1964, and its stuck in my mind ever since. This is the first I've heard it since then. THANKS for posting this!

  • met bobby in 64 went to see the ARSENAL PLAY ,HE WAS A SEASON TICKET HOLDER

  • n[ce over and over great

  • I have the Rust version of this. Good song.

  • not heard this before where was i?? anyway thanks for the upload and taking the time to make this video
