I saw this when it aired on a special many years ago, and fell in love with him. Such a wonderful smile, a kind face, a humble gent whose legacy was bringing us THE most iconic monster role as Frankenstein's monster. I do not think that there is another human being who could have brought such sheer, naked vulnerability to what most would consider a terrifying beast. It is obvious that his own beautiful nature seeped into his portrayal, which made the performance so perfect. Big big love.
Boris was by this time begining to show early signs of COPD, it is obvious to someone who knows from experience. It would later be the cause of his death, some 12 years after this show. Years of cigarette smoking had taken a great man from us.
Boris Karloff was truly an amazing person and along with the greats, Vincent price and Basil Rathbone.....the movie industry has been and never will be the same
Mr. Karloff was a class act of an actor as well as a man. No matter how bad the pr ;ow budget the movie he was always glad to be working and gave the role his all.
William Henry Pratt vs Boris Karloff, amazing what a name can do for ones career. He actually had a life before he became an actor unlike people today who just want to be actors without any life experience behind them. I never knew he was so humble and understated.
Never seen before.Thankyou.

Isn't strange that all the great horror stars were all considered the nicest of people. The evidence is in the film above.

Just as Laurel & Hardy defined comedy, Boris Karloff defined horror. These men were pure class.
