The Beatles themselves were like other men, but the music and lyrics channeled through them contained magic and hidden messages. To learn how to perceive these hidden meanings, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read through the section about The Beatles.
The original are the records that came out (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Please Please Me, Let It Be, etc.). The Anthology are outtakes, banters, speeches, interviews, etc. You can search it on torrent.
i like this version but i also like the anthology version when they all start laughin and john laughs thru the whole song:) i do like all the versions of this song:)
This version is in the key of D instead of E. The version on Anthology has different vocals featuring what sounds like John Lennon laughing hysterically throughout the song.
@JJLumbers - yes, the music is the same recording as Anthology but the vocals are completely different because they're not giggling due to being stoned in the studio.
i watch alot of beatle stuff and it strikes me as so sad that those days are gone,.,,,wow the mania...i remember it,,saw then live in '65/ and now 2 are gone... sad as hell. they had SOMETHING NO ONE CAN DEFINE...
This is very interesting, they seem to be trying to copy the Byrds' sound, which is ironic since the Byrds were inspired by the Beatles. Still the released version is far superior
I usually sit corrected, but of course I'm lazy. Haha! You know, it just occurred to me that Beacoro might have mixed this "left minus right." That is, opening the stereo sound file in some sound editing program, selecting one of the 2 channels and reversing its polarity, then mixing the 2 tracks into mono. That would cancel out anything that had been mixed in the center, which in THIS case would be the laughing overdubs. TAKE THAT BEACORO! YOUR SECRET IS OUT!
It's not on any album, but you can go to Google and type in "free you tube to mp3 converter" and the dvdvideosoft site will have a program that allows you to take this video and make an mp3 out of it.
Okay okay, there's the Revolver version we all know and love. Then there you're listening to is the retake they did in Japan '66. Anthology carries this same version, however it's not the final take, that one's Take 2.
Revolver Alternate. They did this version, then take 2 they did overdubs, Paul did the bass line. Thats when they laugh. Now play the second take which is on youtube, the bass line version. put these 2 together. you get the anthology 2 version...
While performing in the Philippines, they supposedly snubbed the Marcos by missing a "private session" with their daughter arranged by Imelda. Well, boo hoo... I'm sure the spoiled little b!tch got over it when mommy bought her some new shoes.

I know where this is from if anyone here has seen any alternate beatles cds
if you look on the revolver alt track listing it says
22. And Your Bird Can Sing
(Same take as anthology without laughter)
if you search on google images ALTERNATE REVOVLER it will show the back of the cd with track listings
if you listen to the anthology version it sound like they are just listening to this version and laughing because paul and john are still singing unless there dubbing it
This version is awesome! Not as good as the original...BUT, it would have been awesome if the guitar tracks from both had been mixed into one, this creating a hybrid of the two versions, that would have kicked ass!!!!
the released version isn't always superior... I heard this FANTASTIC version of "Can't Buy me Love". It was a third higher and Paul sounded absolutely amazing!!!
not to much i guess of beatles live in color movie film, I've seen some of Shea Stadium (my aunt was there), and some this Japan stuff; is that on dvd yet?
I don't think there was any "trickery" done to remove the laughter. I think this is just one of many takes of the overdubbing of the basic vocal track.
No, you are rigth; a Lennon-song, making fun of Mick Jagger's girl friend Marianne Faithful - Bird
Anyway; Susanna Hoffs has a very good rendition cover of it....worthwhile to listen to

Lol the old fashioned Japanese audience were all sitting down polite.
It must ahve seemed funny to the Beatles cuz everywhere else people screamed and shouted.
I bet the nowadays Japanese even think its funny how that audience was :D

There actuallly IS a trickery !!
It is the REGULAR laughter version, and a
quite basic "Vocal Cut" has been applied.
Try it by yourself if you dont believe me :
Use Cool Edit Pro or such, use "Vocal Cut" effect, and the job is done !
This is the reason why the version gets mono...
