  • No, you are rigth; a Lennon-song, making fun of Mick Jagger's girl friend Marianne Faithful - Bird

Anyway; Susanna Hoffs has a very good rendition cover of it....worthwhile to listen to

    ed

  • Lennon´s "And Your Bird Can Sing" is a masterpiece. The best song in the Revolver album.

  • @Johan93888

This is a HARRISON SONG, I think!!

  • <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • Why is there the original and an anthology version? And where can I purchase the anthology in the United States?

  • The original are the records that came out (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Please Please Me, Let It Be, etc.). The Anthology are outtakes, banters, speeches, interviews, etc. You can search it on torrent.

  • I looooove this song.

  • i really prefer the other version! but its still the beatles, so it doesnt matters

  • I liked this version before I had the master - ten years after, I still perfer it...somehow it just comes across happier and more cheerful

  • This version is so much happier it seems like, I love it as a separate song, but I love the original more.

  • Lol the old fashioned Japanese audience were all sitting down polite.

It must ahve seemed funny to the Beatles cuz everywhere else people screamed and shouted.

I bet the nowadays Japanese even think its funny how that audience was :D

  • It IS strange. It IS!

  • i like this version but i also like the anthology version when they all start laughin and john laughs thru the whole song:) i do like all the versions of this song:)

  • This version is in the key of D instead of E. The version on Anthology has different vocals featuring what sounds like John Lennon laughing hysterically throughout the song.

  • i like this verson c:

  • Cool! You removed the "laugh track". Did you use "karaoke"?

  • @josegilpr This song not laughing is available

  • Hey this sounds good too...

  • where do you get all these videos the real Parel48 well it was my little sister not me who put that on Ifeel Fine

  • What is this version :\ ?

  • i love paul more ha

  • paul so sexy

  • i love you Paul McCartney

  • revolver version owns this

  • magic Beatles , the best band forever and ever .

  • the beeter

  • On what album/CD is this specific version available -- I like it a lot!

  • This version is from the Anthology. I believe the second volume.

  • either revolver or anthology.

  • I wish i could've been alive when they had those giant posters of the Beatles....

  • I slightly prefer this version-for the music less than the vocals. The vocals on the record paired with the music on this track would be fantastic!

  • this version sucks i like the onw on revolver better

  • Do you know what a phillistine is, bentenren?

  • no i dont ;p

  • yea! it's the anthology version without the beatles giggles and jokes and um..... xD

  • how did they delete the giggles???

  • Through the magic of the Beatles. They can do anything.

  • programs

  • very byrd-ish

  • Awesome Riff.

  • this sounds like the anthology version

  • it is!

one track of the stereo recording

  • @JJLumbers this is the anthology version isnt it?

  • @JJLumbers yea it is

  • @JJLumbers it is!

  • @JJLumbers - yes, the music is the same recording as Anthology but the vocals are completely different because they're not giggling due to being stoned in the studio.

  • i like this version better than the laughing anthology 2 version. i can actually enjoy the song without the pendejadas(hysterics)

  • korea? north ? South? would that not make a difference? i dont know

  • They have come to Japan. see you.

  • This version sounds like it replaces the 6-string electric with a RIC 12 sting.

  • Yep, it boasts a very Byrds-like riff

  • Why they did not visit KOREA? ㅠㅠ

Why one of them does not visit KOREA?

  • north korea is a threat to them

  • Where did you find this version of the song? It's AWESOME.

  • this is an outtake that can be found on volume 2 of the Beatles Anthology.

  • i mean this song, not video. but it is a good video =]

  • what happened to the laughing? thats what made this video so special.

  • luv that solo

  • i love the anthology version when John and Paul laughing:D Hillarious!!!

  • they're stoned and happy!! love the laughin' through it!

  • I luvz the Beatles ^-^

    So does Japan!

    BEATLEMANIA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is very different; it reminds me a bit of the Byrds. Prefer the album version, with that fantastic electric guitar.

  • lol i like the anthology version more too

cuz i love hearing john and someone else laughing

and u can hear some say shut up to them

  • i like the anthology version wit paul and john laughing

  • This is thtat version just without John and Paul I think?

I'm not sure though, sounds just like it..

  • i luv the version whith the fit of laughter, it always cheers me up ^-^

  • This is really a BIRDS-Like Rickenbacker Sound

  • Very nice!

  • i watch alot of beatle stuff and it strikes me as so sad that those days are gone,.,,,wow the mania...i remember it,,saw then live in '65/ and now 2 are gone... sad as hell. they had SOMETHING NO ONE CAN DEFINE...

  • Tratto dall''Anthology.

  • Excellent vid, 99 awesome, i was the 99, who will be the 100 five star? Congratrulations.

  • This is very interesting, they seem to be trying to copy the Byrds' sound, which is ironic since the Byrds were inspired by the Beatles. Still the released version is far superior

  • This is on 'Revolving Studio Demos,' search Viva Les Bootlegs on Google, there's a blog that has it, I can't post the link here.

There's also another version, where I believe Paul is overdubbing the vocals, but keeps on laughing... Pretty funny :P

  • Where did this (no laughing) version come from?

  • Anthology Volume 2.

  • But...but...the Anthology version has *laughter* in it!

  • You are right - - I stand corrected! This is better than the anthology version!

  • I usually sit corrected, but of course I'm lazy. Haha! You know, it just occurred to me that Beacoro might have mixed this "left minus right." That is, opening the stereo sound file in some sound editing program, selecting one of the 2 channels and reversing its polarity, then mixing the 2 tracks into mono. That would cancel out anything that had been mixed in the center, which in THIS case would be the laughing overdubs. TAKE THAT BEACORO! YOUR SECRET IS OUT!

  • Hmmm...you might be right!

  • i've also been looking every where for this song version where could i get it please let me know!!

  • It's not on any album, but you can go to Google and type in "free you tube to mp3 converter" and the dvdvideosoft site will have a program that allows you to take this video and make an mp3 out of it.

  • thats on anthology 2 album.

  • Sounds like a version the Byrds would do. Love that Rickenbacker 360-12

  • i just about to say it sounds very byrds-esque

but i like it a lot

  • forgot the word "was"

  • I looooooove The Beatles!! they ROCK!

  • Okay okay, there's the Revolver version we all know and love. Then there you're listening to is the retake they did in Japan '66. Anthology carries this same version, however it's not the final take, that one's Take 2.

The Beatles will always be the best forever!

  • Wait, they recorded this version in Japan?

  • This is REVOLVER the best album that they did!!!

    The BEATLES forever!

  • This a version in which Lennon and McCartney began laughing hysterically while trying to double track the vocal. Great song man

  • I love you guys

  • where can I find this song?

  • TheRevolverAlbum.

  • This particular version is from the anthology

  • This is the completed version. The one laughing is the 2nd take.

  • Revolver Alternate. They did this version, then take 2 they did overdubs, Paul did the bass line. Thats when they laugh. Now play the second take which is on youtube, the bass line version. put these 2 together. you get the anthology 2 version...

  • This sounds different?

    weird (:

    I like the other one

  • Never heard this without the laughing. I like it.

  • There actuallly IS a trickery !!

It is the REGULAR laughter version, and a

quite basic "Vocal Cut" has been applied.

Try it by yourself if you dont believe me :

Use Cool Edit Pro or such, use "Vocal Cut" effect, and the job is done !

This is the reason why the version gets mono...

  • Very nice!

  • Interresting footage

    These guys had a somewhat

    hard time in the East.

  • yep, they snubbed the Queen of shoes of the Phillipines.

just think what would have happened if they had up nosed the King of socks! :))

  • Yeahhh Raw,he would have socked it to'm

  • While performing in the Philippines, they supposedly snubbed the Marcos by missing a "private session" with their daughter arranged by Imelda. Well, boo hoo... I'm sure the spoiled little b!tch got over it when mommy bought her some new shoes.

  • This sounds more the way I would expect the song to sound if it were a cut from the White Album.

  • I know where this is from if anyone here has seen any alternate beatles cds

if you look on the revolver alt track listing it says

    22. And Your Bird Can Sing

(Same take as anthology without laughter)

if you search on google images ALTERNATE REVOVLER it will show the back of the cd with track listings

if you listen to the anthology version it sound like they are just listening to this version and laughing because paul and john are still singing unless there dubbing it

  • this version is 10 times better than the single off revolver - geroge's tone is GREAT and the opening riff in this one is kick ass

  • WHERE ON EARTH did you get a version without the laughing?

  • The reason they are laughing so much is because they are doing so much drugs.

  • This version of the song does seem kinda strange, because I keep expecting them to start laughing like in the Anthology version.

  • Yeaaa, where did you get this version? It really does confuse me, I keep expecting them to laugh!

  • I like this version better than the one on Revolve - especially with the laughing removed.

  • The Nips weren't ready for the Beatles

  • I like the butcher mix better too.(0)=+

  • This version is awesome! Not as good as the original...BUT, it would have been awesome if the guitar tracks from both had been mixed into one, this creating a hybrid of the two versions, that would have kicked ass!!!!

  • it's in a different key, they'd have to transpose it up a step too

  • i like both versions cant decide which on is better

  • i like this version a lot better

  • Great version but as "always" the released version is superior.

  • the released version isn't always superior... I heard this FANTASTIC version of "Can't Buy me Love". It was a third higher and Paul sounded absolutely amazing!!!

  • Sweet! Beyond awesome! I LOOOOOVE, LOOOOVE, LOOOOVE The Beatles so much! This is one of my favorite songs...!

    :D

  • beatles are awesome

  • i loooove this version. and the "annoying laughter" makes me crack up for some reason.

  • i think it sounds really good!

  • alramone, i didnt really think it was annoying but oh well..

  • not to much i guess of beatles live in color movie film, I've seen some of Shea Stadium (my aunt was there), and some this Japan stuff; is that on dvd yet?

  • i love this version. it's very light and airy

  • I got the Beatles laughing on Anthology 2, guys.

  • This is the anthology version with some home-stereo trickery done to remove the annoying laughter.

  • I don't think there was any "trickery" done to remove the laughter. I think this is just one of many takes of the overdubbing of the basic vocal track.

  • sweet!
