OMG...and I don't find this amusing as I have seen in some of the posts here. This is not an isolated thing. Neglectful animal care facilities are being uncovered each day. We can't depend on PETA (I am not a part of PETA) to make things right. It would help a lot if we got our pets spayed and neutered so that population won't be so large that homeless animals are running around...

I hope these animals are safe now, and what is really sad is Susan Marino used to be sane. She wrote an incredible book about her animals that were rescued and how she cared for them. Obviously this is hell for these animals and as a rescuer of old and disabled dogs myself, this is a place you can't go. I am shocked reading about this and watching this video. I guess things were different at her location in 2005 when she wrote the book Getting Lucky. Very shameful.
And where's her husband throughout this disaster? He was helping her with the animals in 2005. I'd bet if he had been around, this wouldn't have been allowed to happen.

I was not able to watch the whole video, but appreciate that you brought it to everyone's attention. Any updates on the status of these poor animals? Part of gaining support is to show that what you are doing succeeds in fixing the problem otherwise it is just voyeurism.

I know what is seen is here is very wrong, but (not to defend) there is a HUGE lack of space that I can see. Is there other places in her area that has denied or made available help for those that she cant help, or to take some off her hands? That said, Angel's Gate had a long history of taking good care of its animals. The end of the video even mentions that at her previous facility, there wasn't even *one* case of animal mistreatment. That makes me wonder what happened to change things. Since the KSL article linking to this bluntly says that the video has been edited to mislead, it makes me wonder what was taken out.

Think about it, if we didn't have PETA, we wouldn't know about this horrible old bitch abusing the animals we already know and love, dogs and cats. All animals are the same, and none of them deserve to suffer. I am a recent convert to veganism and animal rights, so change is possible :)

this is one of the saddest things i have seen. in some ways, people liken this are worse than people who intentionally cause animals to suffer. this person is supposed to be providing help and showing the world how easily we can all help animals. much can be said about PETA and how militant they are, but no one can dispute the great work they do for animals such as these.

You know, It took some guts for this lady to even start a place like this up.
1.) This isnt a facility bleeding hearts...that is a House. If you couldnt tell by the cribs in the corner and the lack of good facilities. Wouldnt it be obvious that this place isnt built to support this large demand of animals
2.) If she could afford better treatment for these animals, DONT YOU THINK SHE WOULD!? Quit jumping on the bandwagon and use sense! Instead of B*tching about it, see if you can help her. DUH!

People if you care so much go and help them, go to the facility bang on the doors adopt the dogs pay for real vets and help out. You need funding? Ask for donations. Sitting on your ass at home crying won't solve anything. Writing letters and emails, or making phone calls doesn't change anything. Taking action is what helps them. Also people can't stand when people complain but respect people who take action.

Then I should blame history for inventing the circle and the dogs for repeating then everybody can blame the lady holding the dog and not caring very well for any of them. This is "Doing her best" ? No. I am a veterinary technician, licensed in the state of NY, THIS IS NOT care. If it's too much to handle THEN DONT DO IT. Shame on this woman. I want to help animals, but I can't, know what I do? I DONT FILL MY HOUSE WITH ANIMALS. These pets had people, they didn't just come from space, where the hell are those people now?
