@leicestergirl63 ok, drugs were the reason he was depressed, but i think that phone call is what ultimately pushed him, but I do agree with you, he was depressed over not being able to see his daughter cuz of that custody battle.......its just that he had said earlier at some point that he didnt want to live to be 40...hehee! so thats why i wonder.......he didnt want to age
@sylicone221 Having seen some footage of his freaky, weirdo brother talking about why he was flogging Michael's belongings on Ebay right after his death (which is on here) one of the reasons he could possibly have felt suicidal was because of his strange family (except I think his father, who seemed to be quite nice and who he had dinner with the night before he died). Most of his immediate family seem to have been incredibly unlikeable, certainly in the way they behaved after his death.
@sylicone221 Trust me, I doubt very much he killed himself to 'get out of aging'. If he did kill himself (and there was no solid evidence to prove that he did that, despite the Coroner ruling his death a suicide based on the balance of probabilities) then it would have been because of much more distressing things than that. He was only 37, for god's sake, and he was still popular, still a rock 'icon' and INXS were about to embark on a major tour when he died.
@sylicone221 As far as I know, there was no solid proof that he killed himself. I saw a documentary about his death in which an auto-asphyxiation expert said he was certain Michael died because of auto-asphyxiation which went wrong. He said he had seen photos of the scene and Michael's body and there was semen on the inside of his leg, which was one of several signs that it almost certainly was that and not suicide. I don't think Michael would have killed himself in such a bizarre way.
@ldydi5954 Yeah i heard that to' really sad and coincidental it's a real shame he has gone. I don't believe he has killed himself though i think it was autoerotic asphixiation.
@sylicone221 I found the book "Just a Man" online and It seemed like I spent hours and hours at different times reading many of the chapters. I know I have not read it all so I will keep at it until I do. I have read other books about Michael and never heard this but as expected the writers do not make comments like his mother and sister did. Not sure if you knew this but Michael's Mom just passed away this September the 23rd maybe? I just thought I would mention it.
@ldydi5954 You never heard that because he never said it! As usual, the dead are always misquoted! I would like to find that part of the book myself! If you really want to know Michael's sentiments they were this: He did not want to be a Rockstar in his later years! He felt the lifestyle and term was reserved for the young! He wanted to get more into a serious movie career and would have if a certain someone did not destroy his life! Prior to her - he LOVED life!!!
@thespyoflove go read the book just a man, its at the end, it was said i think by a girlfriend before michelle....he said he didnt see himself living past 40......basically the same thing! not wanting to live to be 40...lol....yeah....he didnt want to age....so he killed himself.....
