Autistic people often enjoy seemingly monotonous activities, especially ones that involve movement and easily-understood, linear patterns. I'm sure she's not his mother. He is 72 years old. I'm sure she has died already and he missed the fact that his mother died because he was so obsessed about his marbles. I am happy that he can so truly enjoy something so simple but I feel sorry for his wife (or his sister, who ever she is) because she looks so lonely and sad and not cared about. I used to like marbles when I was a child but I didn't hold on to that hobby for too long. I hope he learns to notice people.
