  • Fantastisch! wunderschön, thx fürs sharing

  • me conmovio mucho! exelente tanto padre e hijo!

  • :) Beautiful duet between father and son.

  • are there any song singing only fernando pavarotti?, thanks a lot

  • A small, but I think, important comment. That is Modena Cathedral. The music and the father/son relationship are fantastic.

  • This is why Italians have always been such amazing singers, the secret is in the language it self and keeping the voice 100% natural! Amazing!

    Encomiabili !

    " O res mirabilis

    manducat Dominum

pauper, pauper servus et humilis. (...)

  • ein einmaliges tontokument in vielfacher hinsicht: himmlisch, berührend

  • Both are already a principal part of that angel choir up in heaven, that sings the Glory of our Lord!!!!

Thanks for sharing this Divine video!!!!Bravooooo!!!!!

  • Can you imagine the love and pride each felt in the other? There's a tear in my eye.

One of my earliest recollections of my Father is of his singing Panis Angelicus at a local church.

  • Bellissimo e molto commovente!

  • I remember seeing this on TV years ago. Stunning

  • the ONE and ONLY Pavarotti, i miss him so much.

  • @charminglayla Absolutely. Fernando had a beautiful voice, & Luciano's wasn't bad either. It must have been tough for him growing up in the shadow of his father's voice. Fernando always said he had a better voice than Luciano, & on this showing, he was right.

  • @charminglayla P.s, just teasing, don't take it to heart. ; )

  • can some one please help me and tell me what thay are singing please please

  • @partytime12345 -My pleasure! <3

Panis angelicus (The bread of Heaven)

fit panis hominum; (Is made the bread of men)

dat panis coelicus (the bread of Heaven)

figures terminum; (Puts an end to all symbols)

o res mirabilis! (What a wonder!)

Manducat Dominum (Partaking of the Lord)

    pauper, pauper (A poor, poor)

    servus et humilis. (Humble servant)

  • @partytime12345 Also, it is Latin. Just in case you didn't know. :]

  • what can one say but wow fantastic and will be a big miss

  • Fantastico.

  • Plan to visit Modena next year and see this edifice. Will also put flowers on their graves in honor and tribute to the two great voices of t he 20th Century. Grazei!

  • ter um pai q canta tambem deve ser muito bom..musica o dia todo em casa...kkkkk...o video é maravilhoso mesmo..o pai dele tem uma voz bonita tambem!!

  • I am learning this in my singing lessons. Obviously a higher version, but this is fantastic, and only the best version of this song.

  • geht definitiv unter die Haut.... Wahnsinn

  • Thats his dad right?

  • Thank you for this precious treasure!

  • Powerful voices in a temple, apart from the world....like my room :) Stunningly chilling.....thanks.

  • Molto emozionante: Pavarotti padre (Fernando) e figlio (il grandissimo Luciano) che cantano insieme. Ricordo che questo brano fu trasmesso nel Duomo di Modena il giorno dei funerali di Luciano Pavarotti...

  • super!

  • modena's church is awesome i know ive been there is just wonderful

  • Hi,

Thanks for your reaction - in combination with the reaction by pekman1047, I have concluded that this performance was from Modena (which I didn't know), so I have added this o the description.

    Many thanks again.

  • I love Pavarotti,is the best...

  • One only word: FANTASTIC!

Thank you very much for sharing the video.

I am from Modena and when I was young i was so lucky to hear Fernando singing in the church and in the shop close to my home: he was a bakery and usually he was singing in the shop!

  • That is SO great!! :) Thanks for posting that!!

  • This is a great piece of duet between two Pavarotti.

Our church did duet for offering time after watching this video. Thank you.

  • Wonderful, thanks for sharing. There are two magnitudes between the singing of the old Pavarotti and that of mine, and there are more magnitudes between the two Pavarotti's.

  • Like father like son.

  • Wonderful video! Thank you!

    Pavarotti is young here, naturally.

  • I was looking for this footage when he died cuz the news showed it in a montage of archive footage. Amazing, thanks for the vid :)

  • beautiful and we have to sing tomorrow for an ordination. this is one song i enjoy listening to by other performers.

  • fantastic!! thanks for sharing!!

  • Wonderful performance. Please do not nit pick and enjoy for what it is.

  • I remember seeing a tv program about Pavarotti, where Bono was interviewed and he talked about a situation when he was sitting and eating lunch with pavarotti and his family and after the lunch, Pavarotti´s stood up and sang a song and everybody clapped, and the father turned to Luciano and said "think if you had my voice how fare you will have gotten".

  • his father was great AND loud. but yes, pav had the whole package.

  • ...mmh, quite curious about your references as regards latin pronunciation...

  • Beautiful and very moving. BTW, they aren't siblings, but father & son. Thanks for posting this gem.

  • Thanks for posting this. I saw a clip on TV and have been looking for it ever. It's so beautiful. Thanks!:o)

  • I'm always amazed at how loud these guys are. They're singing in this massive church and filling it with sound and totally burying that loud pipe organ. No microphones necessary. It's a beautiful thing

  • great stuff

  • The way that Pavarotti son cover the F´s sharps in this song is just fantastic. Is not an easy note specially on this song and I almost always listen this note opened in the most of the famous and great tenor singers.

  • ...lacrime... Luciano ci manki!!!!

  • this is gorgeous...and look how young Luciano looks!

  • beutifull.

    it brings tears.

  • que emocionante, la cago...

  • father and son... singing... just beautiful!

    Karlott
