  • Very Nice! I've got a LML Star De Luxe 150 2strokes, as known as Stella in US. In Italy La Vita is just arrived and known as Traveler. It costs about 2000 Euros.

  • @driverdriver68 The Stella is a lovely machine, it's just a Vespa PX in disguise~ :) I hope you are having a fun time riding on your scooter~

  • Hi, how's your scooter running now and how many miles on it so far? I just went visit the dealer last week but 2010 model all sold out and 2011 model still not come in yet, hope you give me good news about the reliability of your scooter, enjoy the ride.

  • @sssgeneral I purchased my scooter a year ago, since then I have only 1000 something miles on it. I did not ride much during the winter, but I did not winterize it either since I still needed the scooter for my weekly trip to the supermarket. I left my scooter parked right outside of my house (underneath a cover of course). Even so, it had no problem starting up every time (I did take the battery out of the scooter whenever I was not riding though).

  • @sssgeneral BTW, I have heard people complained about the La Vita not running smooth. I think the problem is because they did not warm up the scooter first before riding. Once I started the engine, I will let it run idle for a few minutes or so, and I use that time to put on my gloves, high-visibility vest, adjust the mirrors, etc. When the engine is warmed up, it will run smoothly.

  • I like your video, yes your right to always use your helmet cam. I do too for the very same reason as yourself, ride safe

  • Nice! I'm humming the ending theme for FLCL as I watch this. lol

  • $2700 is including dealer prep and destination charges, hope they don't change their mind about pricing, in Philly however the insurance is only $20 per year for liability.

  • Thanks for your inform, would u mind to tell me how much did u pay yours before tax? My local dealer asking $2700 plus tax.

  • @phillyhkg

$2700 is about right, but expect to pay a little more like dealer's fee for setting up the scooter etc (I ended up paying around $3000, insurance for the scooter is of course another extra cost adding on top of the $3000)~

  • Hi there, i'm from Philly, wanted to buy the same scoot as yours, how is it running so far? Any major problem on electrical or mechanical? I just like the way it vintage looks, the fuel injected engine and the front and rear disc brake.I currently have 5 scoots and should have enough space in my garage for one more. I saw one on ebay brand new for $1750 but from CA. Your opinion on this scooter is much appreciated, enjoy the ride and see you on the road.

  • @phillyhkg

My scooter had a loose spark plug when I first got it. I took it back to the dealer and he fixed the problem in no time. The scooter runs fine now without any issues~ The disc brake offers great stopping power, and the scooter is very nimble, handles very well on city streets~~ I won't buy any scooter off the internet, because if there's any issue with it, you may not be able to contact the seller again. Buy it from a dealership is a much better and safer option.

  • LOL. That was fun! And I like the way you weave through and cut off pedestrians. XD

  • Hi. I really liked your video. It was fun. All best

  • Fun video. HEY - take pride in your la Vita! You know I am real vintage enthusiast, but I think the La Vitas are better looking than any of the new "Vespas" - Piaggio should have made something like a La VIta and NOT the LX. Looks fast.

And indeed- those gloves are a great addition!

(but I am curious - is that tape on the headset??

    Cheers,

  • @astrotower

You are right, all modern Vespas look so bloated, they lack the elegance of earlier models.

My tiny camera is strapped on my chest.

  • I like your flag!

I thought you were going to do some Grand Theft Auto and run over those people after you take off! I hope that you are safe!

Brooklyn Bridge~ Been there, nice to see a video about it!

    Cheers

    Ruben~

  • oh shit here she comes does your scooter have a mouth because it sounds like it wants to eat people and cars Is it a boy or girl Name? love the vid did you kick all the cones over on a previous ride ? glad your world is growing now you have wheels :)

  • @67kneil

LOL, no, I didn't kick those cones. I bet they were knocked over by stupid SUV drivers, I noticed they are the most clueless people on the road. You are right about my world expanding because I am no longer restricted by subway/bus routes!

  • Wow! That scooter sounds mean! I drive my FIno scooter (not a vespa lol) here in Bangkok, but not as safe as it is in the States.

    Be Safe and happy smoke.

    -James

  • @astroman2112

The ride may look civilized on the Brooklyn Bridge, but the roads of NYC is dominated by crazy drivers! :P

  • Thanks for sharing.

Glad you have got your scooter at last, looks like a Vespa, what model?

Enjoy the summer! (You have got a good warm suit for winter?)

Elegant gloves BTW - quite the thing!

    Cordially,

    Anthony.

  • @1brummell

Sadly my scooter is not a Vespa, and I know Vespa lovers hate my La Vita. I purchased an armour suit, but it's really hot to wear it in the summer heat in New York...

  • Wow, exciting video. You are very good with your scooter. Thanks for letting us ride along.

  • Thanks for the ride! I've always wanted an old classic, scooter myself... but for some reason my wife thinks that a car is more practical. :-)

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • @Flieger671

Yes, take 67kneil's advice and get yourself a scooter~~ Just make sure you get a full face helmet and riding gloves as well~~

  • That looked like so much fun!!!!

  • @TheOzoneLayerHatesMe

Yes, scooter riding is super fun~ :D
