  • @getgcs, For the same reason a lot of people complain about Linux - "My favorite app doesn't work!"

    There are certain apps in Linux that I really like, or that I'm simply so used to that not having them decreases my productivity. That's why I'm interested in this. I'd like to run my favorite apps from Linux while I'm using Windows.

  • im really impressed with the atom processor i have asus eee pc 1000h and it ran ubuntu netbook remix perfectly with a virtual xp i never had any any problems netbooks kick ass

  • If your windows os works, why would you care to have ubuntu? I could see to have it on a cd for a preboot os being a better choice.

  • Sun's Virtual Box can run it like that too, running it in exclusive mode. It also works works with other OS too.

    Just to try it out, I ran 7 different operating systems using the same concept, and barely any lag(well... e8400 and 4gb ram) happened. Anyways, correct me if I am misunderstanding you.

  • Look. My point is that this has been done before, not saying this is a bad idea. I understand the concept... I was merely pointing out that Sun's Virtual Box has something similar. And, that it is really not that resource-heavy.
