OMG This was SO Helpful but I just have a very quick, VERY important question. Exactly how much time are you given to sing. I heard it was 15 seconds in past seasons. I dont know whats true but Im planning my audition and its in a few weeks and Ive perfected my song, but I just need to know how much of it I can sing because there were parts I wanted to be sure to show the judge/judges. THANKS SO MUCH :)

yeah, i went through the same thing in Salt Lake City a couple years ago. the producers told me if i went to Puerto Rico i would a better shot. you're an amazing singer, you'll get the break you deserve.

Heyy i tried out too n didnt make it through but ive gotten so much better n plan on getting a voice coach n this time i wanna blow them away. . oh and from where i was sitting (209) they were not picking people who were screaming because it was really loud in there. im auditioning again in 5 monthz so i wish u best of luck!! i hope we both make it through =) hope to see you in Hollywood next year.

@peacelovejonasz You cant talk about it WHILE your are on the show. If you didnt make it past the first round whose gonna stop you from talking about your experience? There have been a total of over 5 million auditioners every few seasons...Do you seriously thing the producers have control over all of them. Besides the contract only pertains to the CONTESTANTS. If you are eliminated, you are no longer a contestant.. you only WERE a contestant. I hope that clears things up.

Great video! I just want you to know that my daughter tried out in 2008, 2009 and this year. Well this year she made it through all the rounds so far. Every year she got more training, writing her own music, learned to play the guitar, piano and played every coffee shop, bar, club, festival that would let her. If you and everyone that wants this to be your life then live it every day. Oportunities and doors will open for you This year we just went to have fun and join in everything. It worked!
