  • 5 people broke their Power brick?

  • @thereefernander wat you mean

  • @123454d 7

  • Actually, he didn't spell anything wrong. But he sounds like he's talking to an audience of people who aren't there.

  • ok first how can u get an electric shock from something thats not plugged in to anything...the only way that would happen is if u just turned it off and there is still a residual charge, and besides cleaning the fan doesn't help all that much because thats not the main source of most problems, its the transistors and conductor coils.

  • @GH2mainiac well if it gets 2 dirty it will over heat but ya you got a point this vids old

  • @GH2mainiac Ever here of discharging electrical equipment before repair? I took apart a disposable camera that hadn't been used in months and touched the wrong contacts. The jolt almost stopped my heart.

  • @Xenokiller2179 i understand that but thats to much of a charge from a camera even if u connect the wrong contacts how can it be that much of a discharge

  • @GH2mainiac Extremely high voltage is stored for the flash. It's not bs, mythbusters even covered it and found it true.

  • @GH2mainiac The capacitors in the power brick don't magically discharge when you unplug the brick. If you happen to discharge them with your hand (or screwdriver) you'll be in for a nasty shock.

Since I don't want to take apart my 360's power brick...I assume it's just a linear regulated psu. That said, the energy stored in the caps is probably around 9 Joules.

For comparison, a taser is ~1.3 Joules

  • @Kariudosan ya

  • @Kariudosan do you know how long it would take this to discharge naturally?

  • @GH2mainiac some big caps in there though.....would call it a hazard...but would prob get a nasty belt

  • dude this video makes you look like a dick, you sound like u have something up Ur butt man -_-

  • @mistkillers he doesn't sound like that i think hes just a little kid

  • Mayby i should of unplugged mine first...

  • ok u spelled some things wrong. u spelled aint wrong. u spelled break wrong. u spelled risk wrong.
