looking 4 Hugh Mackie, formerly of 703E, 6th st specials, East Village, he was there for 20 odd yrs, was forced out is what i got told, the guy lives and breaths british bikes, went looking 4 him, but twas to late, where is he, like looking 4 the invisible man, wana pick his brains, i,ve been riding british 4 nearly 30yrs, Any info would be greatly appreciated, E-mail add, is davey.jennifer0@gmail.com
TO BRING THIS BIKE BACK TO FACTORY YOUR LOOKING WAY WAY MORE THEN A TYPICAL RESTORE. ITS SHAME TO FIND IT SITTING LIKE IT IS. GOING OFF OF WHAT I SEE ID THROW A VALUE OF $3,500 TO $4,200 ON IT...DOES IT FIRE UP?
I have a similar front fork and can only speak for ARIEL. The front fork is can be an extended webb fork as used by ARIEL pre war machines from 1939 (until the telescope version -mid & after the war-), looking at the extra outside springs, before they only used the centre spring in the fork. Looking at the welding near the front wheel looks like an 'custom' made long version. The ARIEL war machines had a longer (just under 2") version than the civilian bikes to increase the ground clearance.
Girder front end looks like Norton, maybe Ariel. The 16H Norton military dispatch bike used the side rebound springs, but it would have been green not chromed.
Girder front end looks like Noerot, maybe Ariel. The 16H Norton military dispatch bike used the side rebound springs, but it would have been green not chromed.

@inksmithaddict911 My dad ended up putting it on ebay with no reserve and I think the triumph went for $2000.
