yeah, i think the thing is, download it from the server on the day it comes out. I did that with 1.34 and it took about 10 mins. But I got a new ps3 and i gotta download it again and i tried it from the server but 1% took 20 mins. You'd have thought that it would have got quicker seeing as its been on the servers long enough.

i tryed both ways and nothing , i just gave up, beccause at times all the download progress was cancelled that pissed me off so much,and i had to download all upadates from 1 to 1.6 which is huge ammount of gb, but then again i heard the mp sux so at least one good thing :)

If you try during survival times peer to peer it might go a bit quicker, there will be more people on at this time. Devilkryer you got lucky downloading from server at lauch. It usaully would take longer due to traffic, but you must have started before it got heavy.

That makes no sense, there's no such thing as 100% connection speed. It's data%, you likely mean connected 100% of the time? cable or T1 connection prehaps? No one has advertised dwnld speeds, they have to control the flow to insure all there customers get close to advertised speeds unless it's off peak time. Only so much data clan flow at one time through the line!

Now that totally sucks. Top this though, it took about 20x (roughly) to download the Grand Turismo TV. Once it was at 99% after hours of downloading. Good thing for MGO, you don't have to restart from beging of download as you do with GT5P.

you always download the html one when no one is on and the other option when everyone in their mother is downloading it, i also did the unlimited setting for kb per second becuz i figured why the hell not, took me 20 minutes

This could be possible. I play as I travel so this could truly be a factor. I don't recall offhand where I was that time. This is not the longest I've had to wait but I've had it go a lot faster has well. The one good thing though is if your connection is broken, your progress isn't.
