During a riot the first things they run out of are bottled water and 9mm ammo. People may call 9mm "an ineffective caliber" but it is what the world uses.
everybody on youtube is an asshole, this guy is just having some fun with a fantastic pistol and people make irrelevant comments about his teeth and implying he's a hick. this is bullshit
Uh, what exactly are you referring to? The fact that 9mm is cheaper has less recoil than a .45?
Look, I dislike 9mm intensely, I'd rather have a fucking revolver than a 9mm auto peashooter, but that doesn't change the fact that what I said is unequivocally true.
I had the same reaction about twenty years ago when we switched from S&W revolvers to semi-automatics. The first thing you notice when you shoot it is that the darn gun just keeps on shooting! At least compared with the revolver where you have to be conscious of how many rounds you have left. The first time you blast through a whole clip it does kinda jolt you, like it does with this guy.
PS- Don't bother with idiot trolls. They amount to nada. Just skip over 'em.
Oh come now Timmy...I run into these morons by the dozens every week. Its realy quite simple to deal with them. Just keep the conversation going in any intelligen direction and moron will be exposed as a dime a dozen ignoramus. And his gun wont do him a bit of good
i thought id join in.....im bored. COOKIE MONSTER SHOULDNT HAVE CHANGED HIS NAME TO THE VEGIE MONSTER. 1) thats intelligent. 2) its distracting all the people here from yelling at eachother.
His point is that shot placement is more important that caliber. If you can shoot a 9mm better than a .45, then for you the 9 is the superior caliber.
Not really. In a firefight, you're not going to be able to have the incredible accuracy required to get a vital shot with a pistol unless you're literally at point blank range. The fact is, .45 ACP packs a much bigger punch, and you can take someone down with it much easier than you can with a 9mm.
It has been proven that with high quality expanding ammunition (speer gold dots for example) there is very little difference in effectiveness between the 9mm, .40, and .45. Your just throwing around opinions and calling them "facts."
I'm sorry but there's no question that a .45 using modern HPs is going to make a bigger hole than a 9mm HP. With a .45, you're talking about a round that can be anywhere from 50% to 100% heavier than an average 115g 9mm. More mass means more thump, a bigger hole, and more hurt for the bad guy. 9mm vs .45 cal is and will always be a question of quantity vs quality. Pick one according to your needs, but do not claim one as objectively better than the other.
this is true but its kind of the same reason the usa went to a 9mm.More round down range is a greater probablity of hittin what ever your shooting at.but if it comes down to personal protection i think its whatever your comfortable with.
It is far more accurate than the Hi-Power. Guess who died many years before the Hi-Power's design was finalized, and had most of the design work taken over by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale? John Browning.
Oh yes. And allow me to include the fact that John Browning had previously sold his patents for the 1911 to Colt, and thus had to work around them when designing the Hi-Power. This meant that he had to purposefully not include bits and pieces of the most successful handgun design in the history of mankind.
Dieudonne actually copied John's firearm blue-print of the Hi-Power. Thats like saying you died half way through building a house, I finish it off your blue-print so that means I created it right?
It has less recoil than a .45, the ammunition is cheaper, and it's a lot easier to train someone to use and conceal a 9mm because the guns themselves are also much smaller than higher-caliber weapons.
I'm a .45 man too...but I'd take a glock 17 over a hi power any day. Less moving parts and a lot more reliable. I've had hi powers jam on me regularly.
@marksiwel I dont know, Hungary, Argentina and Bulgaria did a good job with their knock-offs. True, the genuinue article is best, but the copies are worth looking at too.

LoadedSS 3 years ago 2
Its a nicely balanced pistol. 13 (if you feel lucky, 14) rounds means 13 kills. ;)
MaxPayne72 3 years ago
Not at all. 9mm is a weak round with relatively low stopping power. Unless you get a vital shot, it wouldn't kill someone.
Holnonymous 2 years ago
9mm parabellum .40 cal is meant to kill. It will go through a person at close range. Its not as accurate as say a Sig, but lethal nonetheless.
MaxPayne72 2 years ago
Shot placement is everything in a gun battle. A well placed 9mm is much better than a poor placed .45.
YouAreAFuckinFaggot 2 years ago
And a well-placed .45 is much better than a well-placed 9mm. What's your point?

That there is nothing wrong with the 9mm round you fucking retard!

exactly the 9mm round is kinda weak for combat and personal protection.

true, but show me a .45 that has the accuracy of a hi power
Krause12689 2 years ago
Okay. A Colt 1911 is -more- accurate than a Browning Hi-Power.
Holnonymous 2 years ago
And who do you think designed the 1911? John Browning, and it is nowhere near as accurate as the Hi-Power
Krause12689 2 years ago

Actually in 1928 when the patents ran out on the 1911, they were then incorperated into the design of the browning.

Dieudonne did not copy the blue-print, because it wasn't fully finished being designed. He died before it, and Dieudonne finished his work.
