Thank you Michael for listening to the enlightened people who have warned you about the artificial foods/sweeteners. You didn't mention what kind of chocolate you are tempted with. If it's DARK chocolate it's accually good for you to eat a little every day. That way you won't feel deprived either.

Keep doing your thing. I have a weakness for buffets. My hubby usually wants to go to those...then I myself want to go with him. Losing weight is a hard thing. I thing Splenda is better than aspartame,.. but then again I've heard bad things about Splenda too. Agh!
Try drinking unsweetened herbal teas. There are tons of flavors so you should be able to find one you like. They have no calories and are very yummy, hot or cold. I stay away from fake sugars. I think one teaspoon of real sugar is definitely better for you than the fake stuff.- Stick with it you're doing great.
Aspartame (artificial sweetner) is not bad for you - it's one of the most studied food chemicals, but not good for you either. The recent hoopla is about Sodium Benzoate (preservative) shutting down your mitochondrial DNA - the study is too new to have been independently verified however, so no definitive answer on that.

Aspartaam can cause cancer.
I suggest you just drink water :) and learn to drink ur tea without sugar or just a little sugar.
I got more tips but my dad and stephmom are losing weight like crazy. Myself I dont need to lose weight I need to gain some :p (also a struggle)

Here's a rule of thumb for artificial sweetners.
Aspartame=Bad
Sucralose=Good
It's still a good idea to reduce how much soda you drink. Acidic drinks can be bad for your teeth.
I think you should be doing situps and pushups 7 nights per week and going for walks 5 days per week.

I did look it up. In order to get sick from it, you would have to eat 20,000 of those individual packets in a month. That's over 600 per day!

I'm still not letting the kids have aspartame. I've also heard sucralose (Splenda) can mess up your blood sugar.
