@Oldspirit189 Are you fuckin retarded? I said they were good, drop it for god sake. Fuck the Internet and it's 12 year old fanboy's that have no social interaction's and can't understand different conversational standpoints.
Keep him alive by tuning others into his music. Everyone I introduce to Stevie walks away a new fan and listener. He lives on through all who keep listening.
Man he sure can make that guitar cry; I used to never understand what people meant when they said that before I started listening to SRV, but now I know - and not only do I know, but I can feel it. If I ever feel down I just chuck on a SRV song, close my eyes and experience complete and utter euphoria.
I feel somewhat sorry, though, for those who can't appreciate this kind of music to the extent of really feeling it to their bone. Nothing beats it, nothing.
@KidsWithGuns1992 I remember when I use to get that same feeling. But after years and years of listening and learning to play this stuff all I can say is "The thrill is gone". It will always be amazing music though.
@noblesiner I know what you mean, and I've been listening to this sort of stuff and playing it on guitar for a few years now - but I still get that same feeling I initially got when I first heard music like this. I still get that shiver down my spine.
This has always been one of my favorite SRV songs. When the lead kicks in @ 2:31 it sounds like Stevie is standing on the edge of the galaxy, leaking those notes out to the very God that created him. Drenched in reverb, his lines just weep into the universe. Heck yeah, Stevie, you've earned those wings a thousand times over...
No one can touch this! He was like a radio. Once he played his first two songs. It was like he found the station and from there on out. It just flowed out of him! Truly, a rare talent and does not get the credit he deserves. May he rest in peace and never be forgotten! But hey, thats just my two cents! He is the reason, I even picked up a guitar!
SCR 1204!! couldn´t said it better my self!! He deserves much more than this simple words from us who still remember him. Someone should make an seroius movie about his life and performence so we can show the big public how great this man really was/ is!!
This man lived thrue his guitarplay and was a true bluesman!!
Such amazing tone. I've been playing for about 30 years and I still feel that I am merely chipping away at this tone. It's such a physical song to play, as every SRV song is. You really have to lean into it.
@PaulSter Paul I wish some day I go to SRV`s statue in Austin. When I get there, I will smoke a spliff, with a shot of tequila in Stevie`s name. The I will cry listening to this song in my Ipod as I get high enough to oblivion. Im probably stevie`s most hard core fan in Latin America. Much LUV

The greatest display of double bending the guitar world will ever see. Makes Hendrix look like a novice, incredible!

This is his best version, the most funky, bluesy drawn out feel to it. Just a Classic.
