I have a copy of this that came in at the college radio station at which I worked. Program manager and music director had no idea what to do with it. I gladly took it off their hands. I still enjoy listening to it.
I was working at Tower Records in san jose when this album came out. Then a few months it was gone and I've never seen it since. Story I heard was that Disney hated this song so much they threatened to sue the record producers if they didn't take it off, but instead the whole album just went out of print.
A company whose works are aimed at small children.
Coincidentally, what was the therapy rate at around this time?
I mean, he took a song about cheery little hardworkers and turned it into the theme tune for midget slave labor. It doesn't get much darker than that.
Am I the only one not getting the creepiness of this version? Frankly, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Perfect thing to listen to as the sun rises if you ask me...
Please add more tracks from this album if you can (even though it's been like, almost a year since this). I'm pining for Harry Nillson's 'Zip-A-dee-doo-dah',
@HiyruuAzuretiem hey, i totally recommend this album if you're a fan of avant garde, jazz, rock/pop, or folk (and Disney of course)...its not as creepy as this song. but its awesome...anyways, you can find it on amazon. just sayyin....haha.
incredible how he can turn funny dwarfs in to evil gnomes. I guess that if these guys where to guard snowwhite, no evil mother in law would dare to come near with a battle axe. Let alone an apple.

Tom Waits is the only musician who can make a Disney song terrifying.

Sent this song to a friend who plays minecraft a lot and just when he was exploring a cave. He quit for no reason.

Okay, Aaron Neville and The Replacements should never be in the same STATE, much less the same album.

Did you know, when Disney heard the final version of Waits' Heigh Ho, they wanted to cut it out, but had no time or the rights to. I think it rocks.

Thanks, I've never heard this one from T. Waits. I aspire to turn boring cartoon hell into such inventive subversive heights.
