One of the two highlights (this and the montage where Gus fools with the Webcoe computer) of a mostly mediocre score. Poor Ken Thorne...he mostly had to ape Williams' music, with a much lower budget...the first score was done at Abbey Road by the LSO, but II and III were recorded at CTS Wembley (now gone) with smaller orchestras.
Superman: The Movie and Superman 2 are awesome movies, Superman 3 I thought was great too and for the fans of smallville is this a great movies because superman does not his fights in metropolis but in smallville. and for superman 4 I think it was also a great movie, because you can feel it's been a long time since Superman The Movie came out. And also you can see it's been a while, Clark finaly fits in among the people, so I thought that was well done
Je l'ai aimé moi ce film. Et on voit un ennemi différent de Superman pour une fois, ça fait du bien. Ils pourraient varier les ennemis dans les différents film, il y en a plusieurs
@EmpireLS56KW I think each one had a limit to just three people at the bottom- looks like they chose to show the three bad people instead of the deceased African-American comedian. And to think Bryan Singer hated this movie (as well as the horrible fourth one that followed it) that he made his own sequel scrapping this one from existence.
@JLC31383 Oh, well lets just settle with Superman the movie and Superman II as the best in the series. I don't want to get into a Super-confrontation debate [biggrin]
@EmpireLS56KW Actually- I pretend "Superman Returns" is not part of the original series as it is set in a modern world and has completely different actors. That one itself is being scrapped by the upcoming reboot planned for release in Christmas of 2012. It does not really make any references to the first two movies other than showing Marlon Brando's face as Jor-El and having Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey) know where to find the Fortress of Solitude. I sure do wish "Superman 4" had never been made.
@JLC31383 You can still remember this at the age of 4! Wow I’ve kinder forgotten about how badly the superimposed visual effects looked. The Dolby stereo mix wasn’t that bad, not as good as Superman the movie.
@EmpireLS56KW I have seen "Superman 4" a few times since it came out. I did not see any of the old movies at the theater since I was not even alive when 1 & 2 premiered, was only a few months old when 3 premiered, and was only four-years-old like you said when 4 premiered. Things actually look really cool to a little kid- it is when you get older when you start to realize it looks like crap. I rewatched all four movies back in 2008- I could tell the first three were fine unlike the fourth one.
@JLC31383 I‘ve seen all Superman films once or twice in the cinema Superman IV once at the cinema and once on VHS PAL rental.
So how did you come about seeing watching the Superman films though TV or comic books? I got into the comic books and it was an add in one that showed the poster for the Superman the movie around late 1977. Wish I still had that ole comic.
@EmpireLS56KW I remember my dad renting the very first movie for me when I was 5. He saw it at the theater with my mom when they were just a couple dating and decided to pass on an interest to his son a decade later. I also remember seeing the following two sequels on TV and then my mom renting the fourth one for me after it just came out on video. I never have actually read the comic books- but I have seen every single episode to "Lois & Clark", "Superman: TAS", and even the old 1950's TV show.
yeah, um, you really need to upload more of these...seeing as most of us cant afford the superman "blue box" set. people(like me) would love to rediscover all these tracks they way they were meant to be heard. lol. please upload more from superman III :(

I: WIN
II: EPIC WIN

RETURNS: I liked it for the way they hinted at the John Williams score throughout, but only dropped into it right at the end!

Nagh, the movie was great, one of my favs.
Though I have no idea why Richard Pryor is not on the cover of this DVD seeing as Pryor was one of the main characters, if not THE main character.

@greenpenguino The movie was great. Annette O Toole was hot!

@Rainingagain1 The movie was mediocre (tho I'll always enjoy it 'cause I saw it when I was six), but you're right...O'Toole was smoking.
