I looked up the Greek word parapipto. It seems like Pastor Mcgee was wrong in his application. It was only used in Hebrews 6 and it does refer to a type of apostasy yet I agree with him that the text is referring to works not salvation.
Romans 8:38-39 (King James Version) 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Oh how serious for the believer to understand that becasue of how we walk, we could be "nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." Many pass off Hebrews as not being written to the body of Christ, who avoid its message to all believers in the body of Christ. We can avoid, but we cannot escape what the Holy Spirit has for us in this book concerning our salvation.

Nope. The Key to understanding Heb 6:4-6 is v. 1 of ch. 6 in Heb. We are to press on from the elementary teaching of Jesus and go on to maturity. Nothing here about keeping salvation.
William MacDonald once wrote: "The fact that christians are worried about having lost their salvation referring to Hebrews 6:4-6, is actually the proof that they didn´t. Somebody who has fallen away doesn´t worry about because he/she refuses Jesus Christ from the bottom of the heart."
He also mentioned that this verses are often used by satan to trouble specially believers who have mental, physical or emotional problems.
