  • @Mezcalycigarros I do not watch many modern horror fims AT ALL! You have definetely got yourself mistaken because if I am anything I am a horror classics maniac!!!!!!!!!!!! I love them because they define the word horror itself! I think the golden age for horror started at 1970-1990 REMEMBER, THE EXORCIST CAME OUT IN 1973 AND THE ORIGINAL TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE CAME OUT IN 1974 so therefore it wouldn't make sense without those 2 amazing films! The Exorcist and Texas Chainsaw changed cinema life

  • The Hills Run Red is an example of a good modern slasher film of the past decade or so! The killer "Babyface" was terrifying and awesome at the same time! The movie felt like a mixture of The Blair Witch Project, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the House of Wax Remake!

  • I SCARY

  • MY SCARY

  • MY BIGGEST RULE FOR A SLASHER FILM: THE KILLERS MUST. WEAR. MASKS.

That's what makes them terrifying! The 2008 creepy psychological home invasion horror film "The Strangers" was pretty much only good because of the creepy masks and the atmosphere! When Dollface was on the swingset...THAT WAS SCARY AS HECK!!!!! Wear masks. And you'll make money!

  • @11poketrainer Hahahaha fuck yeah but I think that has been the market strategy for, oh I don't know...35 yrs or so. But I actually thought that was alot more disturbing and upsetting than all these other movies. They said that movie was pretty much how it happened in real life. And cause you don't know they're motivation, that makes it more fucked up. : )

  • 0:14 WHAT MOVIE IS THAT CLOWN FROM??? PLEASE TELL ME ASAP!!! Is it Clownhouse?

  • Michael Vs Jason would be the shit if it was ever made! (Result: Draw, or Jason)

  • @THEFLAPJACKMASTER It would definitely be the shit, but definitely draw. Or Mikey MOTHERFUCKER!!! Yayyyy....oh I mean *AHEM* so terribly sorry bout that. Don't know whatcame over me lol.

  • @HaruhiFanNumber1 So it's definitely worth the coin???

  • @ViceCityVacation yes, it is. :D

  • @HaruhiFanNumber1 Cool, I'll check it out!!! : )

  • no it's The HOuse on SOrority Row

  • Whats the name of the Movie at 16 seconds court Jester with clown Makeup?

  • @1guitarbash I think it's The Funhouse by Tobe Hooper. I'm not sure though.

  • @venomey666 no dude! It's not The Funhouse! There isn't really a clown in that movie anyway! (Disappointing, I know, the poster is misleading!) But I was wondering that too! WHO IS THAT SCARY LOOKING JESTER CLOWN??? I. MUST. KNOW ASAP!!!!! It might be from Clownhouse but I don't really think so because I saw the trailer and a couple scenes from Clownhouse and I didn't see any clowns with actual masks on! There faces were painted! I personally think clown masks are scarier then clown makeup!

  • @11poketrainer Sorry dude, I can't think if any more :(

  • @11poketrainer I think the movie with the guy in the Jester mask may be Slaughter High. Definatly not Clownhouse as ur right, the 3 killers in that have face paint.

  • This is without a doubt one of the best horror themed documentaries around.

  • the movie around the 16 sec mark is House of Sorority Row, 1983, good slasher :)

  • the movie around the 16 sec mark is House of Sorority Row, 1983, good slasher :)

  • @REKONBALL2 The reason the 80s movies feel different is because Hollywood didn't throw millions of dollars at them to make them look polished and slick. They were low-budget films with a low-budget look that lent to their realism. They are much, much better than the sterrilized remakes Hollywood cranks out now days.

  • does anybody know where i can watch the entire doc?

  • Does anbody know, how long the documentation is?

  • hey, quick question, what movie is that with a undead girl in the yellow graduation toga and hat?

  • graduation day

  • @englundisgod oh, why of course, how stupid of me (hits myself for not seeing the obvious) thank you, by the way.

  • no problem

  • @kaijinu It's called Graduation Day.

  • can any1 tell me what the movie with the clown in it is? starts at 16

  • @deansgnr the house on sorority row,

  • @josebk6 thanks man appreciate it

  • where can i find the music that start at 0:33

  • no better slasher than mm

  • Does anyone know where I can buy this?

  • @MoonOutsider10

The entire documentry programme was uploaded to my channel if you still haven`t seen it.

    It`s in the `Psycho`s And Slashers` playlist.

  • @imurboogeyman Thanks, but I still want to buy it. ^-^

  • not sure if i thanked filmcomposers, in any case, thanks

  • There is an image of a boy coming out of a woman's stomach at 1:24:00...I know I've seen that movie, but have no idea what the name is..can't find it on the internet either..can someone help me?

  • If any one gets a chance to watch and knows the name of the jester movie at about 25:38 in, please tell me

  • @TheFallenAngel0 - The movie is House on Sorority Row.

  • this is on netflix right now

  • so were movies like the boogeyman but they talked about that on this documentary.freddie maybe have supernatural qualities but he is definately slasher, jus like candyman.

  • Freddy is a slasher, and so is Chucky. Doesn't matter if there supernatural or not.

  • could someone please post this because i cant find it anywhere does anyone know where to find it on the internet for free?

  • I wanna know too

  • Why didn't they add Chucky in this documentary horror film?

  • i cant believe they actually remade house on sorority row whats wrong with original?

  • @deejay114 Think re-making House on Sorority Row was a bad move? Classics like Psycho, (1974's) Black Christmas, When A Stranger Calls, Friday The 13th, the Fog, and the Amityville Horror, have, also, been given the re-make treatment. WHEN OH WHEN will the re-makes STOP?! Oh, about to be released on Blu-Ray DVD, next month, the original I Spit On Your Grave ALONG with its RE-MAKE.

  • @AngelofAnguish as long as these no talent visionless douche bags keep making money off of destroying movies that are fine to begin with and marketing them to teenagers (sadly my generation) then ther will always be remakes. its sad.

  • @AngelofAnguish they usually are massively inferior to the original but one has to admit they are entertaining and offer a guilty pleasure in a bizarre way. Though would like to say in my own opinion the re-make of Friday the 13th i thought was better than the original, if inferior to the second and fourth films. Plus Halloween and TCM re-makes weren't bad efforts, just pointless as the originals are both so excellant and not in need of a re-imagining.

  • yeah way to overrated

  • Freddy is considered a supernatural slasher. Still slasher.

  • @TheMikeyX If you think about Michael is a supernatural slasher in a way! Jason became sort of a superhuman zombie slasher in Part 6

  • If you lived thru-the 1980s classic slasher era or just love those old classic movies, you will absolutely love this little documentary filled with exciting scenes, and interviews with the directors, such as Wes Craven, and many great horror actors of the day.

Halloween is approaching, so this is a terrific one to rent or buy! Trust me on this one! Watch if you dare!!!! Argghhhh!!!!

  • what really sucks is that theres no alfred hitchcock interview for this may his soul rest in piece NOT PIECES i just hope it has slumber party massacre in the documentary

  • yes it has "Slumber Party Massacre". I really enjoyed the documentary!

  • I own this. The ultimate slasher documentary. A must-have.

  • Pooefan The movie you are looking for is the "Initation" on Going To Pieces: Raise And Fall Of A Slasher Film. I haven't seen it, is it any good?

  • does anyone know what movie 0:30-0:35 is from?

  • The original Black Christmas. It's on youtube.

  • hey thanks =]

  • @nancyheartssid That's a scene from 1974's Black Christmas.

  • Jason, Leatherface, Myers and freddy are great. I also like madman marz and cropsy From the burning.

  • Hell yeah ! i think no one can beat The fourths Slashers legends: Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface and Freddy Krueger. They are the best, and it's not a little dolly like Chucky or somes fags like "ghostface" (scream), "Pinhead" (hellraiser) or "Candyman" who can compete with them. They are the ELITE, The best killers of all movies man ! They pwn everything and everywhere. A lot of people will not agree with me but i don't cares. Slasher-fans know that i'm right!

  • this was an awsum documentry if thats the word for it

    cause that would be clever

  • I just got finished watching it on 'Starz On Demand' - it is a really good documentary. Takes me back to those old slasher movies I grew up on. I'd almost forgotten about 'Terror Train'.

  • as if prom night is even in this film i thought it was the worst EVER EVER slasher movie!...

  • I have to agree somewhat with you on that, can't say it was was the worst EVER - but it was near the bottom of the barrel.

  • this is an awesome documentary, and the close minded people should watch this so they can stop being so damn stupid and understand that this kind of movies are art.

  • what is the movie where the girl stabs the clown or jester looking guy?

  • The House on Sorority Row

  • That was Terror Train

  • Which movie is it at 00:43?

  • good documentary

  • is this just scenes from movies or is it the complete movie

  • There's a song that is frequently played throughout the whole documentary, I'm desperately looking for this song, if anyone knows the title, please PM me.

  • do u mean the piano music or the drum music

  • I mean the song that's played in the end credits for example. The piano music should be the Halloween theme, right?

During the end credits, while the various interview snippets are shown, there's a song in the background that I really like. Haven't found it, yet.
