  • The first 25 seconds of this almost always pops into my head after awesome sex.

  • I get chills every single time I listen from 2:40 all the way to the end of the piece

  • *begining

  • The begging is AWSOME! I sometimes feel like a god is coming from the sky!

  • I played this in band ;]

  • Whenever I hear this, a part of me says, "Hurry up and let the London Games begin!"

  • @sxz1997 not to worry friend. We have less than a year until the games begin. Can't wait!

  • 0:47 is what blew me away as a kid...and continues to everytime the Olympics start again.

  • Everytime I hear this I remember MonkeyBone

'We don't want to kill you, we just want your organs.'

  • john Williams is a freakin genius

  • Bugler's dream wasn't composed by Williams. Arnaud composed it in 58.

  • It's already been 3 years!

  • Earth Wars

  • Fantastic!

  • I searched for forty years for the title of this theme! Thank you, John Williams!

  • If any of you are going to be near Tanglewood (Lenox, MA) this summer, I strongly urge you to try to get a lawn ticket the night John conducts the Boston Pops. It's become pretty much a summer tradition in the Berkshires. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

  • John Williams. Wow. Without him, there'd be no star wars, no Indiana Jones, no Superman, no Olympic theme, or ET, or even Jaws. Him and James Horner and Jerry Goldsmith make the big three of movie music.

  • this reminds me of one of the greatest things ive watched during the summer of '08 august when phelps won the 7 gold medals

  • @Dafiesta i remember every one of those races like it was yesterday. most amazing thing iv ever seen

  • yes he's a real boss

    and he's the best

  • does anyone get chills when listening to this?

  • @tucker1012 Everyone, gets chills while listening to this ;)

  • @tucker1012 Yes, Everyone does! |:-}

  • Let's go USA!! 2012 London Olympics!!

  • im learning well i already can play it well were learning to play it in band and unfortunately the clarinet part sucks

  • i lost my virginity to this song

  • Intro (Arnaud) is GREAT, perfect fit for Olympics! Than from 0:46 Williams part comes up and ruins everything! Williams is the best composer of the 20th Century, but he should stayed away from the original masterpiece!

  • john williams best composer of our time

  • Sounds like a combination of "Indiana Jones", "Star Wars", "E.T.", and "Jurassic Park".

  • @MarcellusTheGreen They were all done by the same guy.

  • Two people must have won bronze instead of the gold.

  • I play this song on my piano, and man is it hard, but it does not compare to the amazingness of this vid and all the instruments put together. Listening to this video helps inspire me to learn the tougher parts of the song better. :P

  • Most Epic Song IN The HISTORY of Epic.

  • the best part 0:07-0:46

  • @arberBoss1 my favorite part is from 0:00 to 4:32 :D

  • the best is this part 0:07-0:16

  • 2 people couldn't make it to the Olympics lol!

  • John Williams might be good but he's nowhere near a master

  • @LtGerbal Hey MORON.......JOHN WILLIAMS wrote music that the WHOLE word

recognize. He composed ALL the music for STAR WARS saga, SUPERMAN, E.T.,

JAWS, INDIANA JONES, JURASSIC PARK, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD

KIND and the NBC NEWS THEME. You can hear his music every day of the week!!!

He is THE MASTER of modern orchestral scoring......................

  • Another superb theme by the master, John Williams. I've always thought it sounded very like music from Temple Of Doom, which also came out in 1984.

  • @HarukaMagical, Oh yeah! I remember.

  • 4:07 to about 4:10 is my favorite part (Yes I'm a trumpet player and partially biased).

  • I think this song is more fitting to heroes arriving at a great battle in the hour of need.

  • I never paid much attention to this, not having TV, but I'm enjoying catching up.

Hints of Aaron Copeland, Howard Hanson, Jerry Goldsmith (the Patton soundtrack and other martial WWII film scores), and of course many other John Williams themes (five note motifs reminiscent of Close Encounters, referencing the five rings)... nice work!

  • This is actually Summon the Heroes

    .

The first 40 seconds is different, but otherwise it's the same song that was composed for the Atlanta games

    .

  • Bugler's Dream is an amazing fanfare! One of the most memorial!

Does anyone know where I can buy a copy of this EXACT score?

  • we're playing this in band....and it definately sound awful compared to this...lol

  • begining sounds like 1812

  • John Williams is awesome, best one there is!

  • On this I will have to disagree, 2:56-3:12

  • What?

  • That is the part I thought was the best as opposed to some other part someone else thought.

  • 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS, HERE I COME!!! Michael Phelps, Team USA BBALL, Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson! Woot :D

  • This is such an inspirational song. You can't help but smile and cheer.

  • its a great song the beginning should be played at all sporting events

  • not football too calm

  • 4:00 to the end.......the best part!!

  • In this case, lived includes those still alive and those that have died

  • my little Grd. 5 band played the mini version of this. i get to be a Trombone xD

  • I love playing the triple-tonguing part, best part of the whole fanfare! Trumpets get to be so awesome here because everyone else is playing in unison!

  • This piece makes me WISH I could triple-tongue! But, I am just a clarinetist, I will have to do with supporting the brass. But that's an honor in and of itself!

  • John Wiliams is boss.... nough said.

  • ?????????

  • What?????????

  • wtf? i didnt even look this up, somebody hacked me... but it is a good song now that ive just received that youve replied me thriugh email...

  • @sirduckfuck ETY

  • @sirduckfuck Y

  • @sirduckfuck HRG

  • @sirduckfuck YOU SAID IT

  • We are playing this in band soon. For when the torch comes to our town. Theres no way we pull this off.

  • Williams is amazing! Every night I listen to this song, raider's march, Indiana Jones temple of doom theme, and the Jurassic park theme.

  • Every time as I'm listening to this awesome Olympic Theme and Fanfare, it always give me great aspirations and inspirations about the Olympic spirit, and the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games! Let's cheer and pray for Canada, and hope that we could will all the Gold Medals!

  • I have that same feeling of inspiration when I listen to this song.

  • @TKDML5000 go sochi 2014!

  • @TKDML5000 I always find inspiration to write and draw when I listen to this song! And yet people wonder why I love John Williams SO much...

  • @TKDML5000 Sadly, USA I think won. Did they? I'm not sure. :) But can't wait for the London 2012 Olympics.

  • We have the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics to thank for this amazing theme and fanfare.

  • Quiero escuchar esta sintonia en Madrid en 2016. Tengo una corazonada!!!!! Madrid Olympic in 2016.....

  • It can be hard to find this particular version of the olympic fanfare on services like iTunes. Often the opening "fanfare" (that is, the Bugler's Dream) is omitted for some reason. The only time I've seen this track for sale has been part of an album that I don't particularly want. Too bad too, I really like this piece.

  • what version of the Olympic fanfare and theme is this?

  • Yes, for a long time, Budgler's Dream was "the" Olypmics theme. Then John Williams's theme has deservedly caught on so well that it has, if not replaced it, become equally recognized.

Mr Williams wrote another theme for the 1988 Seoul Olympics that was a bit generic and bland - I guess a case of him overextending himself. But with the 1984 Olympic theme he knocked it out of the park (apologies for an American sports metaphor when the Olympics are all about international competition ;-) )

  • Love this song soooooooooooooo much!

  • great!
