  • We call them Leopard sharks, very rare for us to catch them, awesome to see, and not sure on their technical name.

  • Hi, Mainly use Penn Or Shimano Rods, with the Shimano TLD 25's for our overhead reels, with at least 50lb braid, sometimes 80lb, 50lb stops most things, although we do still get busted up.

  • hey man. no offense, im not tryin to b 1 of those know it all guys, but im 14 and am like an expert on sharks (i love um!!!!! =p)

    and know like 70-100 species, and thats a zebra shark, not a lepard shark.

  • cool vid, here in California we have leopard sharks and when I saw your vids title I thought "those things aren't rare" but they are different species.

  • Awesome shark, mightn't be endangered as such but a rare catch, Only one I've seen in several years or more, fishing or diving. Good to hear you get them in California.
