@ferminreyesjr hahaha, manitas de plata is a wondeful tocaor, but comparing him with paco cepero, paco de lucia, sabicas, moraito... etc, and the actual tocaores is not right. hes good, but its not a pro
@willy1986tralara WRONG. Manitas loved "balls out improvisation" and the injection of arpeggios with an upward two finger spray (never repeated by anyone). I saw him many times parked his approach to accompany dancers and singers. I saw Sabicas (knew this giant) once attempt the Manitas arpeggios (did not come close). Uniqueness is what marks the geniuses. I saw Paco delivered lousy S-type arrangements (not his forte). As a flamenco guitar player for decades I deem the S, P an M geniuses.
@Gunak10 yeah! i respect him and he have wonderful compositions... im not trying to be so idiot to compare him with paco de lucia...etc.
but here in spain, you need a higher level to live of the flamenco guitar... you know, manitas de plata dont reach that level.. he made fame and money in france, belgium...etc, not here, where the true and pure flamenco lives. i dont know man, its like comparing some good spanish trumpet player with all the jazz scene in new orleans... you know?
@willy1986tralara I suppose it islike us English not liking the fact that some have surpassed us in both Cricket and Rugby, not to mention football. Live with it! X
Stunningly agile and fluid righthand akin to Paco deLucia's, though a little more forceful. I'd definitely put this guy up there with the almighty Paco and Sabicas.
No need to compare Manitas and Paco ; both are great in their own realm.
