As a person liking the music and not even trying to get involved in the political/religious bickering...I have to say I prefer the original Arab version. I like the sound of it. And no..I'm not Arab. Nor am I Hindu.
I don't like conversions personally.. And I admire Islamic culture.. and such tunes really tempt me to get converted, wear a hijab, learn Arabic and get settled somewhere in the mystic desert land.. Haha.. Glad that there's a Islamic essence in my country too...

In my opinion this is the best. Much better then "Ya Ali", agreed that people loved the hindi version more. But when you listen to the original, you realise that the original version is much better then the Hindi version, even though the Hindi Version is good. But if you ask me, which one i would love to hear, i would love to listen to this more. Just like the original Arabic version of "kaho na kaho", in "Murder". Vickram Bhatt has this thing about great music. Kudos to all who enjoy this.

Screw Pritam , he should be jailed and heavily fined for stealing songs. These artists put so much effort to compose these tunes, changing and editing their notes if they feel it needs to be better. Then a Douche named Pritam just copies it so easily and nobody does a thing about it and he just keeps making money and getting praises from indians. Hes spoiling the name of Indian music. A complete disgrace to the land where legends like A.R. Rahman comes from.

Both are excellent songs... difference besides language my understanding is the Arabic version is for the woman's love, the Indian version represents the Muslim faith in there Beloved Imam! (though they should have gave props to the Arabic version, and they should not make a song with negative images while having such a whole figure being stated in the song...) Ya Ali!

Just look at the release date for God's sake!! Ya Ghali from Guitara was out in 2000 while the movie Ya Ali is only a few years old. Get over the hype, Bollywood has copied even its own name (or will you now suggest that Hollywood is the copier?).
