  • why the use of so many different types of medium? also for an image with white background the halftone sure is intense. and the body proportion seem to fit a starved transvestite. overall the character carries no stories other than to showcase different medias mixed. I'll file this under crap doodling.

  • I like it!

  • I don't think this is as good as the other things she draws and colors, because she isn't as talented in this area of art. Cell shading, which is the shading used in anime art, is different from this, and I'm not very fond of how she drew the hair.

  • wow. u r a great artist. keep up yr great and amazing work. i love it

  • You are a great artist, I bet you'd do even better in manga or anime though, please at least look into it. AND FOR YOU@Esgibtkeinengott stop critising other types of art Anime is great in my opinion! so stop saying it's not ^_^ >:(

  • omg you are sooo talented! fantastic drawing!

  • what was that pen with the white ink @ 1:58 ?

  • @mtapokla3 I believe in her previous videos she calls it a white gel pen ^^

  • I havent even finished watching the rest of the video but,...WOW! THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!

  • So wish I could do something like that!

    So cool~!

  • Great tutorial.

  • I am often disappointed in quality of fashion illustrations often copies of copies of copies of sloppy rendering made popular in the sixties and seventies. needless to say it's not very helpful to comic or other artists.

I appreciate that you don't compromise and are very swift.

    Thanks for the great tutorial.

  • A lot of people commenting on this are EXACTLY why weeaboos and anime itself is something to mock in American culture.

  • this aint no manga...but u r good aartist

  • Amazing :D keep up the good work!!

  • I enjoyed this video a lot! :D And love the oufit the girl is wearing!

    Great video!!

  • what brand of copic markers mostly used by the manga artist?????

    PLEASE ANSWER...TNX ^_^

  • Dark lines characteristic of the anime style? Must be some sort of pokemon referance, most anime don't have "dark outlines". Still, this is a very good video explanation of coloring fashion figures~

  • i would NEVER dear to draw like that on such a beautiful sketch if i made it!

  • how she do that with the qtip O_O?

  • @HippoKissez that's what i wanna know

  • @aznprincess2468 if anything I'm guessing..she dipped the qtip straight into the marker itself, or a tube of the ink

  • she is saying based on how they color in anime not saying that it is a anime :P

  • Where can you buy these pencils from??

  • @dcwarrior01 from an arts and crafts store like Michael's and look for Prismacolor pencils

  • O my god!! This is Awesome,,

I am a fashion designer but i will never be as good as you,. Keep up the good work

  • You are amazing!

  • Hey, nice coloring!

    :)

  • i dont like the leg at mine right...but the coloring tecnique is good... ;) 4stars

  • I can see the Japanese influence in the clothing, and I love it, although I don't see it much in the face. That looks far more American to me. *shrug*

  • amazing :ooo

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah! she's using the Micron pigma! I love that pen, its really good, I recommend it to any young artist like myself or experienced artists like her use it.

  • Where is the anime influence? I can´t find it...

  • Amazing, but now I feel like a horrible artist! :( Hahaha

  • Hon, that's more "Wonder Woman" comic not Japanese Anime comic, but good drawing

  • -sigh- So this is how color rendering is... -twitch- The teacher forces us to do it with out teaching us! BUT THIS VID IS SO COOL!

  • wow!nicee!=]..

  • It's not japanese anime style at all.

    But it's REALLY good drawing!

    thx

  • thanks!!

  • how much are those pens?

  • a single one costs roughly $5, a set of 12 about 50.

but a sets of all different color and tones, your look at more than $200 up to $372 for about 72 colors.

    they ain't cheap.

look them up on Amazon, copic markers

  • Micron Pens cost about 3 dollars a piece,

and Copic Markers range from 3-8 dollars a piece.

  • i just loved the way its been coloured

  • can any1 plz tell me how much are these prismacolor art markers for?

  • $3.50 each

  • Sakura micron is wonderful. I have yet to use Prismacolor, but I hope when I get into the medium, I will discover a world of possibilities . . . that better be worth the price, darn it. lol

  • i gotta question...

    iv never used copic b4.

is copic markers just like prisma colors?

i love prismas and never used copics im scared to use both. lmao

    \HELP!

  • They are both alcohol based markers, but that is about where the similarities end. The copics have a wider colour selection, are refillable, can be used with an airbrush system, the nibs are more durable and they tend to bleed less. But they are also MUCH more expensive (even though the fact that you can refill them means that they cost less in the long run) and more difficult to find. If you want a happy medium between the two, try Pantone Tria markers.

  • ahh thank you, ill try it out!

i never hurd of pantone or tria markers

never seen them in micheals craft store.

il have to look into that

    thanx!

  • Pantone tria is one type of marker (commonly known as tria markers). They are refillable, have three nibs (chisel, medium and small) and a VERY nice quality ink.

PS Michaels gouges. Check around where you live for other art stores. If you are in Canada, look for a Wallacks. Almost anywhere has better prices then Michaels.

  • thanx!

naw i live in VA america

i think we have a staples?

    and some other places

  • LOL Prisma color, Copic marker, and Sakura micron!! Guess it is influenced XD

  • omg thats amazing! <3 what are the names of the colors u used for the skin tones? i plan on buys some more PCM's and itd be nice to know the names of colors that i would need ^_^;

  • this is awsome art work.

  • WOW!!!

  • what was on that q-tip she was using to fill in the top and skirt?

  • Probably a dab of copic ink. The markers are actually refillable and I have seen a few people use sponges, brushes or cotton to apply it. It can create a really amazing effect (like the airiness in this image) if done right and after a lot of practice.

She could have also held a prismacolour or other marker to the swab.

  • Love your rendering technique its really good just like your designs

    love and light

  • Excellent! I definitely subscribe!

  • She never once said she was a "manga artist." In fact, the word "manga" never even came up. Some of you need to either read or listen better. I believe what she meant is that the color rendering in this illustration was "influenced" by Japanese media. The word influence doesn't mean to copy or imitate, go buy a dictionary or something.

  • ..ooo not animae....not manga..ur not a manga artist !! =-= ur more like a fasion designer..sorry

  • what is a 'prisma pencil'? Is it sort of like a mechanical pencil for inking?

  • A Prismacolor Colored pencil, it is a colored pencil made by Prismacolor. They are supposed to be very high quality, but I wouldn't know...

  • They are very good quality. I have two packs and wouldn't trade them for any other color pencils. :] I highly recommend them.

  • I swear, they are one of the only coloured pencils out there that you can get to look just like ink. They are wonderful.

  • WHAT THE FIZZ!!!!

    That is like really cool!!!

I wish i could do that *sigh*

    TT-TT

    That is sooooo cool....

  • did u learn of how to draw or was it natural?

  • awesome! i definitely subscribe! :P

  • I'm loving copic =D

  • nice i love to draw fantasy stuff mostly dragons and all i use for coloring tools is prisma colors i love the smoothness they give off

  • Hi! First of all, great piece of artwork you have there! =D Your video is really helpful. I'm trying to look for new coloring materials and just heard about Prismacolors. I've been using ordinary colored pencils all my life and I'd really like to experiment with other coloring media. Thanks again for your video! :D

  • The drawing is great. But it's definetly not anime. A recommendation: Check out Mark Crilley for tips on animation. He supplys many great tips and how-to-draw videos for anime/manga. He is also the Author/Illistrator of Miki Falls, a great anime comic book.

  • I actually think this can qualify as serious manga/anime.

Either way, it's a damn fine picture :)

  • is that yellow color pencils??

  • Omg this is great this is so good u are really talented and god has given u a gift so keep on doing of what u are doing jeez i wish that i could be u u have an amazing gift

  • DAMN! thats wonderful!

  • its grat how you use so many tecniques, in the same desing, i like to do that too

  • what did you use for the shadows?

  • How did you use the Qtip to put the base color on? Did you use the ink from the marker or from paint like gouache?

  • omg! she looks so real!

  • holy shit draw a chick butt naked yeah LOL

just joking u don't do that not in youtube

  • Wow, beautiful!

    love the details!

    XX.

  • thats not ANIME, its ANIMATION. Theres a little bit of a difference, but still, thats really good.

  • omg how do you go over your outlines without going off your lines? youre awesome at that.

And what purpose does the prisma pens serve exactly, ma'am?

  • Thank you for posting this awsome art work.

  • i dont think she knows what shes talking about when it comes to anime, copic markers are expecially made for manga/anime, so yeah manga artist DO blend, and surly use more than one skin tone....she influenced anime all wrong. nice hat though. lol

  • no shes right. anime/manga has no definition on how it should be created, the traditional idea of manga was a serious of picture used to discribe a story. manga is mainly in black and white, while anime is mainly in digital. when it comes to aninemation making an artist do not spend time blending the colors to create a moving image for a story.thats why its mainly used in 2 different stong tones.

  • For the base tone, can you just put Copic Maker Ink onto a cue-tip and start coloring?

  • No. XD

  • Wow that was great^_^

  • Her skin is find, I wish I could do that,

  • thank you for putting this up!

  • Hmmm....I don't like how she did the skin....
