Nice tut anyway. BUT, I have JUST found out that I have just done a tutorial on Bluetooth - setting up a device (Leopard). I hope you don't mind that I did it, I have just seen this tutorial for the first time and thought "oh c***"! LOL! Anyway, hope ya dun mind XD!
Hello dragonpme, I own a Mac, and I have been wondering how to connect my mobile phone to my Mac. I have added the device, and it acknowledges my phone is there, but it says 'not connected'. But... my mobile's bluetooth is ON.....? I find this very weird, I may have to check now if the bluetooth is actually on (on the Mac) :P

hi dragonpme, i'm just you know searching infos on mac... anyway i really love computer stuff.. and anyway your tutorials are really USEFULL thx.. but i still haven't got a mac i still have my shitty pc you know.. it's really not GOOD. haha anyway i'm trying to "seduce" my dad to buy a mac.. got any ideas?? because he's not really a fan of technology and stuff.. thx again!amezes
Your attitude is so unconstructive. Just because Bluetooth is easy on a Mac doesn't mean that it's difficult in Windows. (It is actually quite simple there too.)
Nowadays you can find a lot of premium computers with integrated Bluetooth. (I can't speak about a year ago, because I didn't check all of the computers available, did you?)
Sure, my Tablet PC doesn't have integrated Bluetooth, but I bought it in 2005 and on sale. I have a dongle, though, for a GPS sensor and a headset. Everything works swimmingly. (Using Vista)
For sure, though, I'll make sure that my next tablet has Bluetooth. I love all of the possibilities of such an amazing technology.
thanks for the comment.. :) .. yeah i did look at pcs and see they dont have bluetooth biult in... ever since i swapped to mac ive been keeping an eye on the pc.. and im supprised to see how far behind in technology pc is..
not to say pc dont have that technology, its a while for it to become standard.
.. im both a pc and mac user.. and i baught a dongle for my pc.. and boy was it hard to set up - get to work - get it to stop dying on me.. maybe its just that dongle/drivers/computer.. dont know.. im speaking through experience not fact.
I had a bad setup experience with the dongle I bought too. Like everything else I have wanted to hook up to my computer, I just plugged it in. It turned out that I had to actually install the drivers off the supplied CD. On top of all that, it obviously use Vista's Bluetooth framework, so I don't get a very streamlined experience. This all surprises me, because the dongle is made by Asus, which is a company that I usually hold in high regard.
kool.. :) .. one thing i am envious about is glove pie.. :P i want to do more with my wii motes.. something osX cant do.. but, on the other hand i havent got a suported bluetooth stack on my pcs.. :(

Still, a little icon sits in the system tray and I can easily add new devices, and it automatically connects to old devices.

Kinda sux with Wii stuff here in Finland...
I was in the shop today and they had like a billion PS3 and 360 but only Wii Play and Nunchucks for Wii :S
