  • I think you should have left this one alone, and maybe have built another one and called it X-2 and showed them together. Now one of the most famous 57's in the world is gone, not saying I dont like this one though, cause I do.I just liked the old one better.

  • If youre going to ruin the car at least put a morrison frame under it!

  • Should have left it alone. There was nothing wrong with it!!!! Looks like another pimped out ride.

  • man i have a 57 2 door and would love to have it looking like this beauty it takes a lot of man hours and bucks i just hope i can have it done before i snuff it ....lol

  • You All Must Be , The Generation , That Followed The Original..., are you the children , or grandchildren ,,,..Why Cant You Leave A Good Thing ALONE !!!!.LIKE THEY SAY ...OLD THINGS NEVER DIE......YOU RUINED A LEGEND ,,,,,

  • what color yellow is that? I'm thinking about yellow on my 57. Thanks

  • Big rims suck!

  • cant wait for the big wheel fad to be over...put on some decent wheels ,a blower and loose the hood.... make the car a badass again,,sad...!!!!

  • @331hemi i agree with you 100 % get it back from something that looks like it came from outer space

  • i agree a lot of change for the sake of change , looked way better 10 - 12 yrs. ago . wheels , tires and exhaust just don't do her justice

  • That's not Project X. If you're gonna build a replica, at least do it right. Assholes.

  • Another nice car (Hollywood Nights Version) Fucked up buy Idiots with a credit card and NO clue what the fuck they're doing... Way to go ASSCLOWNS!!!!!!

  • What a clueless bunch of clowns. This is progress? It looks like a pile a shit..Lots of money and so called new technology and it doesn't look even close to as cool as it did in 1978. The video should be called "Watch a bunch of fat rich guys trash a legend"

  • is project X dead now ?

  • what is the next step with the 57 ? why not put the exhaust back under the car ? and put on a set of 15" Cragars or American 5 spokes with L-60 ? on the back !

  • i'm a 61 year old gear head i have watched the 57 from the start . i think you can only do so much and then it starts to go down hill. the wheels , tires & exhaust at the bottoms of the fenders just don't do her justice. the work looks A - 1 but was it change just for the sake of change?? just my 2 cents worth

  • Those tires and wheels did nothing for the 57, why the tubs? let's cut out the wheel wells next !

  • The "old" Hollywood Nights version was better , and im only 34.. this is an old fuckers streetrod.. just my opinion, if you dont like opinions dont post it on the internet..

What is happening to Hotrod? Pro touring is the new look and performance?

  • all you guys get the fuck over it. it's done likr this now to reflect the times. regardless of what you say or think it should be. it can still smoke the tires easily and now it handles better. yeah i liked the movie but come on, the suspension is much better, the engine is a recreated ZL-1 that is lighter and those rims are nice...and very wide. viper sized. i liked all the looks of this car, including this version of it

  • Why did you allow the crome on the drivers side to not match at door and rear panel. And why did you show a front shot with the hood not matching. off on the drivers side. You probably spent $100,000 and let this slip by.

  • I guess that the only thing missing now(Besides the blower and ballsy attitude), is some gangsta pimpin' it, right? I suppose that old school is politically incorrect, huh? The big block was a GRAND idea, but damn: Keep off the hood, and stick a B.D.S. blower on, with the deep-dish Cragar SS Mags crammed within M/T slicks. Never lose the yellow paint, and get Tony Danza with(The Goddess) Michelle Pfeiffer... You people ruined an institution... Fucking sellout motherfuckers...

  • This video needs " HOW TO RUIN THE" at the begining of the title , Now it is not longer the fire breathing monster it was in hollywood nights . Its just another 57 sittin on 20 inch wheels.

  • That is so cool 57's rocked back in my highschool days.

  • Im a Kiwi my dad was a chevy nut and pride of his life was a 57 two tone black and yellow he got in 61 . original so yellow was right there . Sunday was clean the car day for us kids and we had the chrome gleaming

  • This is what happens when the Top Banana and Government Motors gets their hands on a '57 Chevy !

  • If only banana bumpers were still in style... A yellow '57? Never seen that before. What's next,an Impala taxi?

  • Long live the old project x.Should have redone it the way it was in the movie hollywood knights. One bad ride.

  • agreed

  • fdgfsdff

  • nice car in away but fucking dumb what they did to her should of left her alone with the blower and with out the hood thats a shame

  • Oh no!!! "Geeez. What a waste of machinery!"...

Back up 40 years or so, loose the hood, put the blown Small-block back in it, along with the 10-ton Chrome bumper, and fat Bias-plys on chrome reverse. Then put some cream on the red mark you made when you slapped Hot-Rodding in the face with this monstrosity.

Create what you like, but don't ruin something beautiful and try to pass it off as something it will never be.

    Long live the Hollywood Knights!

  • You got it! Jack it up, straight tube axle, Moon tank in front, 10 inch pie crust slicks, small block, Muncie, 57 PONTIAC rear.Oh yeah, radius those rear wheelwells alittle. Those satisfactions are permanent!

  • what about the blower thats what made that car look like it was going to kick your ass

  • I have 2 books on Project X when Popular Hot rodding did this.
