@LightBrand well the spotter is there to give him the count at first but it's easier for the bp to keep the count also instead of the spotter having to make up a new sentence everytime even though I have heard of things like you just described

Apparently, card-counting is not illegal, however, using devices that help you to do it is, best thing to do to avoid getting caught is to simply wait until you double up then leave and head to another casino lawl =p

the count is not correct, in a true game the count will almost never exceed +3 if you're using a balanced count like the high low count.

In this film they are using the high low method of card counting along with basic strategy, because without basic strategy it would be useless.

So why in the film does he split a pair of tens, in no basic stratgey do you ever split a winning hand like that.

in card counting you can if you wish, when the count is so high and you are certain the next few cards are a ten or Ace, split the tens to go for more tens or blackjack. if you ever split tens though it's obvious you are card counting or that you are just very stupid.

i dont fully understand splitting the cards, let me see if i get this, when you split a pair, the dealer doubles your bet, if you win with one hand, you get it, but if you lose, you only lose what you bet?, am i right?

you double your bet when you split a pair, and if you win it, you are paid 1:1 on what you bet. say you stake $100, and u split the pair and made it $200, if you win you would win $200 on top. If you lose you would lose your $200 stake.

When you split a pair it becomes two separate hands individual to each other. So if you lose on one hand you only lose the stake on that hand. If you win on the other, great!

okay they would have a spotter person and a big player person (undercover like them) the spotter would stay at a game and count the cards

cards 2,3,4,5,6 = +1 (at the start of game the value starts at zero each card they come acroos they add or minus the value of the card)

cards 7,8,9 = +0 or neutral means if these are come across you dont add anything.

cards 10,ace,king,queen,jack = -1 so each time you come acroos these you minus 1 get it . pause
