hye.moje asked where I could buy a helmet, because interested mnieto Izv October this year, fly out on a mission to Afghanistan and I would take care of their own security. I would very grateful for the answer to an email gema999@o2.pl.pozdrawiam z polski
I love this helmet... Unlimited possibilities for expanding usage outside the SF community. Very light and comfortable. I've been using mine for over a year and as previously stated, love it.
Hey this helmet is perfect for DMX bikers XD. I use a Level 3 kelvar special force helmet super light weight everytime i ride my Bicycle. lol Mich Helmet made in Canada : $170 Up graded mich pads: $40 Surefire helmet light: $120 Velcro : $15 IR patches: $40 ESS turbo Fan goggles: $180 Goggle trap: $10 total cost is around $600
take it from someone who knows, the kevlar helmets are useless. rated to stop a 9mm round. they're large, bulky, uncomfortable and a pain to get them to sit properly on your head. don't waste your money on one because it won't save your life.
@Omega350ss well I'm glad they were lucky and are safe. that doesn't change the fact that the kevlar helmets are only rated up to a 9mm round (check the manufacturers specs) aside from that those few "success" stories are fluke and not a fluke to risk your life with. anyone knows that a "graze" is different than a "hit" guaranteed that a FMJ 7.62 x 39, 5.56 x 45 FMJ, or anything higher in power will penetrate like a hot knife through butter if they actually hit their target.
@gnosticguardian I have to agree with Omega. They do work, but I will agree with you that they're uncomfortable and would prefer to use a Protec. My old squadleader has his helmet that took a direct hit to the forehead. He says the last thing he remembers before waking up in the hospital was seeing the bright flash in the distance and then darkness. I wish I had a picture of this thing, does make you think a little bit.
the question is can it stop bullets?

@gnosticguardian Really? I know at least two guys hit by 7.62x39 that would disagree.

The cut for peltors, sordin, tci is custom made or the helmet is made like this?
Thanks!
roninwt 2 years ago
well it's cut custom for them, but by PT helmets, we didn't do it..
We did paint this one though to dab a little brown on there
GearBuyersGuide 2 years ago
yeah i saw it in PT helmets, but in first intance i believe that protec made it.
Thanks!
