I've heard that club cards use a seperate drive than the slot machine does so they have nothing to do with eachother except that you get credit for playing but whenever I use them I feel like I never win. my girlfriend says the same thing. its best to use it in vegas though cuz the hotel comps are worth it.

Those machines will give you boner hands meaning it's inevitable that you'll have to A.put more cash in your machine or B.lose it and have to walk.You cannot beat video poker,the odds of getting a royal flush is 40,000:1 and you only get $1000.00 for a quarter in.

Great post. Being an avid Video Poker player, your comments are dead on. Video Poker is all about optimal strategy while being aware of the statistical portion. I hit three Royal Flushes in less than one year ($1 denomination). Another important comment you mentioned was the fact of walking away after winning big on Video Poker (or any slot machine). A lot of times when I won at Video Poker, I went to another machine, only to lose what I won. Thus, when you win at a casino...WALK AWAY.
Thanks for your positive comments. I think a lot of people get in over their heads on video poker because they are really not that good at poker, so they play video poker rather than table poker. Video poker is not a game for non-poker players☺

Check out the Wizard of Odds website. It has the perfect strategy for video poker games, and also simplified strategies (which give the house an extra 0.2% advantage, but are much easier to learn).

i wouldent put money in a video poker, i quess there is or at least will be realesed some video poker machines wich only pay 20 % or something, especially if alot of people hear about this, and everyone at the casinos are at the video poker machines, then i quess the would put the payout % down :D (giving the computer you are playing agianst better cards, and giving you badder cards)

The computer doesn't get any cards, you play alone.
You get 5 cards, you decide which ones you keep and then the computer gives you other cards for those you discarded.
Then if you get a good hand you get paid (the minimum can be from a pair of 10's to a 3 of a kind, depending on which video poker game you paid). You get paid higher for better hands, of course.

I prefer the 5 of a kind jackpot machines over the royal flush machines. There are only 4 ways of getting a royal flush but there are 13 ways to get 5 of a kind.

Video poker machines base their high return rates, which are ever-so-rarely at or above 100%, on absolute perfect play. And we know most people are not playing optimally.
Overally, the only way to win at video poker is to a.) have a jackpot proportional to winning odds (usually that's huge) or b.) quit while you are winning and STAY quit. Long-term odds don't reset when you walk away for the day, unfortunately.

Those machines will give you boner hands meaning it's inevitable that you'll have to A.put more cash in your machine or B.lose it and have to walk.You cannot beat video poker,the odds of getting a royal flush is 40,000:1 and you only get $1000.00 for a quarter in.

Great post. Being an avid Video Poker player, your comments are dead on. Video Poker is all about optimal strategy while being aware of the statistical portion. I hit three Royal Flushes in less than one year ($1 denomination). Another important comment you mentioned was the fact of walking away after winning big on Video Poker (or any slot machine). A lot of times when I won at Video Poker, I went to another machine, only to lose what I won. Thus, when you win at a casino...WALK AWAY.

Thanks for your positive comments. I think a lot of people get in over their heads on video poker because they are really not that good at poker, so they play video poker rather than table poker. Video poker is not a game for non-poker players☺

very good job! u enlighted many people with those videos u made! this 1 is also good information and certainly much better from the slots. but still when computers are involved the percentage of winning is 2 low so i prefer real table poker from any machines ! its much better and u can have some fun 2! I rarely play slot machines and its fun because you have a chance of temporarily winning some money, i never play big amounts :p
only games that u can win in is card games with real humans if nobody is cheating..
