Sorry about that, but I read somewhere that some snot nosed 8-year-old Generation 5 playing punk didn't know who Mewtwo was. So I thought to recreate that idiot and see what reactions I got. It's a sad time for Pokemon and something has gone wrong on Pokemon games if Mewtwo is completely lost in them. Sure he is just another Pokemon of the original batch, but he still counts and should atleast be with an NPC trainer by the time of Pt and B/W
Just putting this out there: I know Ho-oh is from an older gen, but I had always imagined the ultimate climax of Pokemon (if such a thing were to ever happen) as being the return of Ho-oh after so many centuries of flying away from 'the evils of mankind' - and I've always also imagined that every legendary pokemon Ash ever helped, from Mewtwo and Mew all the way up to Arceus and beyond, having to convince Ho-oh not to burn the world for the sins of humanity and etc.
@nightfall463 That is a really good question. I like them both much. I think I'd have to go with HAUNTER though. They're fun loving and could be good company if trained properly. Plus, they can be lethal in a VERY dark way. Fairly well rounded Pokemon. :)
@KitaxNekoSama57 they need to make a movie with Genesect and team Rocket using it (instead of Plasma) to destroy the world as Ash visits home with cilan, iris, may, max, dawn, brock, and tracy (dat's right!) and all kinds of legendary pokemon are reported acting oddly as are plenty of regular pokemon. Insert badass music, lots of explosions, tons of action, 2 1/2-3 hours of epic and you get what i'm talkin about!

@nekosama23 Replace Reflect With another attack move for coverage, as any Dark-type can simply waltz in on that set. Replace twisted spoon with Life orb, since it has Calm Mind and Recover and that speed stat it's totally viable. I recommend a Timid Nature for that set too, 252 EVs for both Speed and Special attack.

However, I always imagined something a bit more dramatic for a showdown with Mewtwo (not necessarily in just the games) and imagined this remix. That's just my preference, of course. With all the new legendaries and official moveset swaps, Mewtwo can be looked over these days, but I'm guessing that like myself, you were there at the beginning when Pokemon numbered 151 and Mewtwo was practically a god. Good times. Anyway, I'm looking to tackle more remixes for this series. You'll probably enjoy them. ;)
@Hauntershadow He's still a god in my eyes as a battler. The changes to the generations have also affected Mewtwo and have given him a limitless arsenal of special attacks that hit everything like a Mack Truck. Not to mention he's the only Pokemon that seems to actually have a story and not some ridiculous legend. He's even more ridiculous now because he's got a freakishly strong move that calculates his SP. Atk and opponent's PHYSICAL defense. There's very little that can stop Mewtwo anymore.
@Lancun That's refreshing to hear. I've sadly been out of the Pokemon culture for a while, so hearing that Mewtwo was given a more viable function as a legendary tier Pokemon makes HAUNTER cackle with glee. However, I do believe that he's still outclassed stat-wise, yes? I think Arceus boasts a total stat count of 720. Mewtwo's moveset versatility is probably his greatest weapon, aside from his ever-present, high SP ATK.
@Hauntershadow Arceus's stat count is indeed higher (him being the Poke-god and all) but none of said stats are anywhere near focused like Mewtwo's speed and SP ATK are. It merely means that Arceus can do anything, from tanking to sweeping teams, but no uber sweeper is as destructive in the game as Mewtwo is.
@Lancun Ironic that the PokeGod himself cannot grasp the true form of Mewtwo's power. XD Seriously though, I'm glad of that. Such an instillment of faith in a character I once thought of as having been undermined makes me consider getting back into the Pokemon gaming field again. Thanks, Lancun. I rarely come across Poke fans who really delve into the tech of the games.
@Hauntershadow Mewtwo is far from forgotten in competitive play. Though banned from tournaments, in ubers tier in many online battle sims, Mewtwo has a large variety of movesets making it very viable, especially this generation, given it's first ever Signature move, Psystrike, a move that deals physical damage using mewtwo's special attack stat.
As for the song epic. I like it too ^^. Those 15 hours were more than worth it. So congrats on a job well done ;D.
@Hauntershadow Well Psystrike is just a powered TM Psyshock. But in mewtwo's hands either are deadly. Mewtwo can do tons of things that people overlook, like taunt and wil-o-wisp. And yes I miss mewtwo in brawl. Best wavedasher next to luigi.
Well, look on the bright side, at some point, someone will make a great Mewtwo in Brawl, he has a model, and a PSA... Although the PSA is lacking, but I'm sure someday someone will fix that. :P
Anyway, this is a pretty good remix actually, very dramatic, you mixed the American Mewtwo movie theme very nicely with the normal battle theme... Overall, this does suit a battle with Mewtwo very well.
@DataDrain02 Oh I've seen some excellent Brawl hacks for Mewtwo's inclusion. Can't wait till they're perfected. :) Thanks for reminding me that the remix was founded specifically on the American version of Mewtwo's theme. I have yet to address that. I shall fix it.
@Hauntershadow Mewtwo still holds up pretty god like :D I do remember when there was nothing that could stand in his since there were very few moves that would be marked super effective and even then they didn't have much power to them :D Very well done, I'm definitely gonna look at more of your stuff and subscribe!

@Hauntershadow Arceus's stat count is indeed higher (him being the Poke-god and all) but none of said stats are anywhere near focused like Mewtwo's speed and SP ATK are. It merely means that Arceus can do anything, from tanking to sweeping teams, but no uber sweeper is as destructive in the game as Mewtwo is.

@Lancun Ironic that the PokeGod himself cannot grasp the true form of Mewtwo's power. XD Seriously though, I'm glad of that. Such an instillment of faith in a character I once thought of as having been undermined makes me consider getting back into the Pokemon gaming field again. Thanks, Lancun. I rarely come across Poke fans who really delve into the tech of the games.

@Hauntershadow Mewtwo is far from forgotten in competitive play. Though banned from tournaments, in ubers tier in many online battle sims, Mewtwo has a large variety of movesets making it very viable, especially this generation, given it's first ever Signature move, Psystrike, a move that deals physical damage using mewtwo's special attack stat.
As for the song epic. I like it too ^^. Those 15 hours were more than worth it. So congrats on a job well done ;D.

@Hauntershadow Well Psystrike is just a powered TM Psyshock. But in mewtwo's hands either are deadly. Mewtwo can do tons of things that people overlook, like taunt and wil-o-wisp. And yes I miss mewtwo in brawl. Best wavedasher next to luigi.

Well, look on the bright side, at some point, someone will make a great Mewtwo in Brawl, he has a model, and a PSA... Although the PSA is lacking, but I'm sure someday someone will fix that. :P
Anyway, this is a pretty good remix actually, very dramatic, you mixed the American Mewtwo movie theme very nicely with the normal battle theme... Overall, this does suit a battle with Mewtwo very well.

@DataDrain02 Oh I've seen some excellent Brawl hacks for Mewtwo's inclusion. Can't wait till they're perfected. :) Thanks for reminding me that the remix was founded specifically on the American version of Mewtwo's theme. I have yet to address that. I shall fix it.

@Hauntershadow Mewtwo still holds up pretty god like :D I do remember when there was nothing that could stand in his since there were very few moves that would be marked super effective and even then they didn't have much power to them :D Very well done, I'm definitely gonna look at more of your stuff and subscribe!
