I have both Forza 3 and GT5. Both are good however overall GT5 is a bit of a let down. GT5 has better graphics on the cars, Forza better on the track detail. Although higher resolution on PS3 bumps overall picture quality a bit higher. GT5 may have more cars, but with only 200 premium let down really. GT5 has many identical premium cars- Honda, Lexus, Nissan and Toyota, so really knocks down premium cars. GT5 has vsync tearing. Xbox lacks G25 wheel support. Forza has better sound and mods

GT 5 is a joke they claim over 1000 cars but i looked at the list, not only is there not a single porsche in the entire game but there are at least 5 different copies of the same car for each toyota nissan etc.

@normalguyhere Actually Forza 4 is getting the UK version as well, and not just the test track, but full collaboration. Top Gear UK has signed a long-term deal to collaborate on all future Forza games, if you haven't read recently.

@thewho5012 That's my point, the fact that the differences between the premiums and standards are so big makes this game look unfinished and unpolished. I think Kaz spent too much time on the premiums and then just added the standards so the amount of cars can look good on paper.
@URsuckishATlife Yea a year for each car to make. Then they implemented damage for the first time. I see alot of complaints about the damage. But if it weren't for the community Kaz wouldn' t even have damage on GT5. That's the communities fault on that one. And about the standard cars you mentioned that was a huge mistake on PD. The sad part is that alot of people bought GT5 for the first time wasn't expecting no interiors on standard cars when they put the disc in.

@strykah92 When the ps3 came out they was working on GT HD. That was before they had interior replay views. I think Kaz keep changing his mind on different things. The reason the development took so long is because of course the visuals mainly over 500,000 polygons for each car that takes a year long because of the damaging system implemented. And remember GT5 got started from scratch all of that codes been dumped from GT4's engine. That's if not but close to million lines of coding from scratch
@strykah92 When forza 3 came out they used forza 2's engine so the code had already been there in the making. They just added a little bit more coding which can take about 2 years. If forza 3 came out from scratch it would have been about a year or so longer to come out. PS3's programming system is complicated. So for people wondering about "this is all they did for 5 years?" That's their reason.
@thewho5012 I know, that's why GT1 and even Forza 1 took so long (for those of you who don't know GT1 had been in development since 1992 before being released in 97/98).
Hence why when Gran Turismo 6 drops, it'll take far less time because they now have a complete engine to work on.
@strykah92 hang on GT1 was in development from 1992 ??, yet polyphony released 2 other racing games on the ps1 called motor toon GP and motor toon GP2, i had both of these games and it was after motor toon GP2 that polyphony started work on GT1 or at least thats when polyphony stated they wanted to move in a simulation direction (i dont see how development started in 1992 as the ps1 hadnt even been announced (the psx was a project sony was working on for nintendo).

@strykah92 10% Of the 360's CPU is already being used for the Kinect once you pop in FORZA 4 so the rest of the 360's CPU (which is inferiors to the PS3 CPU) is used for consumpion for FRZA 4's physics. GT5s physics will be superior regardless considering GT5 is very close to some PC sims in terms of physics.

@fuzzaun to see if Forza 4 has improved but the trailer showed jack shit. Yeah kid GT defined the entire racing genre. Ask any true gamer and they will know what Gran Turismo is but I doubt half those people even have a clue to what Forza is. at first this excited me.. until I realised it was 95% real life footage and doesn't actually prove a damn thing about forza 4. while I actually hope forza 4 blows away gt5.. some of you guys are actually being childish. forza 3 and this trailer does not "destroy gt5" you should actually play the game.. it has alot of aspects that are infact incredible. night, weather, driving physics, amazing graphics. please play forza 3 and gt5 and you will see the good in both as I did. love cars.

This is how they make ads with Forza ? By Mixing gameplay and real life vids to fuck the consumers, what a joke. As a gamer perspective, this vid havent shown anything to me except that Turn 10 wasn't able too offer a quality video with quality gameplay only. When game devs do that, most of the games suck usually.

@thewho5012 That's my point, the fact that the differences between the premiums and standards are so big makes this game look unfinished and unpolished. I think Kaz spent too much time on the premiums and then just added the standards so the amount of cars can look good on paper.

@URsuckishATlife Yea a year for each car to make. Then they implemented damage for the first time. I see alot of complaints about the damage. But if it weren't for the community Kaz wouldn' t even have damage on GT5. That's the communities fault on that one. And about the standard cars you mentioned that was a huge mistake on PD. The sad part is that alot of people bought GT5 for the first time wasn't expecting no interiors on standard cars when they put the disc in.

@thewho5012 well, cockpit view is a standard now for racing games, especially sims, so for Gran Turismo to not have what other racing games do is kind of a disappointment, don't get me wrong, Gt5 is awesome and I personally like it better than forza3 and in no means do I think forza is a bad game but that's just my opinion

@strykah92 When the ps3 came out they was working on GT HD. That was before they had interior replay views. I think Kaz keep changing his mind on different things. The reason the development took so long is because of course the visuals mainly over 500,000 polygons for each car that takes a year long because of the damaging system implemented. And remember GT5 got started from scratch all of that codes been dumped from GT4's engine. That's if not but close to million lines of coding from scratch

@strykah92 When forza 3 came out they used forza 2's engine so the code had already been there in the making. They just added a little bit more coding which can take about 2 years. If forza 3 came out from scratch it would have been about a year or so longer to come out. PS3's programming system is complicated. So for people wondering about "this is all they did for 5 years?" That's their reason.

@thewho5012 I know, that's why GT1 and even Forza 1 took so long (for those of you who don't know GT1 had been in development since 1992 before being released in 97/98).
Hence why when Gran Turismo 6 drops, it'll take far less time because they now have a complete engine to work on.

@strykah92 hang on GT1 was in development from 1992 ??, yet polyphony released 2 other racing games on the ps1 called motor toon GP and motor toon GP2, i had both of these games and it was after motor toon GP2 that polyphony started work on GT1 or at least thats when polyphony stated they wanted to move in a simulation direction (i dont see how development started in 1992 as the ps1 hadnt even been announced (the psx was a project sony was working on for nintendo).

@strykah92 10% Of the 360's CPU is already being used for the Kinect once you pop in FORZA 4 so the rest of the 360's CPU (which is inferiors to the PS3 CPU) is used for consumpion for FRZA 4's physics. GT5s physics will be superior regardless considering GT5 is very close to some PC sims in terms of physics.
