  • Hey Jamal, been watching your vids for a while now, and I have a few questions!

    1. What kind of guitar do you use, I like Taylors but this new one gives the tapped notes a bolder and louder sound

    2. What tuning is this in?

    3. Are you self-taught in this fingerstyle technique of yours? I've attempted it, and my God, must take a LOT of work. Respect!

  • @OfForceAndChaos This one is a Cole Clark Fat Lady. Now I play on the Cole Clark Triumph, amazing guitar! Its in a Ebmaj7 tuning. I am self taught. Lots of experimenting and most importantly being patient.

  • wow nice man !!!! :D i just sub ;) can i use your music in my vids i do? i will give you special credits in my vids with a link to go in your channel!!!! :D

  • @DamnFrench What kind of video is it?

  • @maneli all kinds of video but i am working on a seri with my friend and i will shoot it in my school. its difficult to find GOOD music that i can use thats why i asked you this!! :S

  • Another great piece dude. I love all your songs but, when it comes to percussions this is the best.

  • Fantastic Maneli! Gives a real warm rich overlay to the Ziur riffs.

You could slightly adjust the arrangement and play this live with a looper maybe?

  • @prboyd For sure but id rather just stick with Ziur to make things a bit easier for me in a live setting.

  • @maneli If it ain't broken... ;)

  • awesome as always. ;)

  • This is amazing musicianship. Beautiful song and great skills.

  • very nice!

  • again, lovin ur stuff. just wondering, how do you play notes with just your left hand? is there a name for that technique because i would love to learn how to do that.

  • @DontTakeCrack Yeah its called pull offs / hammer ons or even legato.

  • @maneli really, but i thought you had to play a note first.

  • Incredible man, I'm so impressed with you're style, you're truly a huge influence of mine. I'm surprised you're not much more well known than you already are. Can't wait to hear some new tunes.

  • @DMBalchemy Thanks a lot Matt!

  • /\/\ ∆ /\/ ∑ L |

  • That's brilliant man !!

  • @OneLifeFree There's a great idea!

  • WOW ! That's really nice!!!

  • Thats bad ass dude.

  • yeah man, a very nice fingerstyle song ! excellent idea! greetings Gerhard

  • 原來這就是創造出豐富感受的手法!確實很有設計感!很精彩啊!

  • @wang7711030 Not sure what that means but thanks!

  • Do you do your tendon stretches?

Why not try learning the piano or a harmonica or something less demanding on your tendons?

This talent can't be wasted with tendonitis!

Oh ya and I hope you get well!

  • Or maybe he could use several loop pedals. (I have to say I prefer the original though.)

Everyone should send some mails to CandyRat.

  • @thebookofjoy Thanks for the honesty. The original is what I will be playing live. Not too interested in loop pedals yet. Soon though.

  • @maneli Or maybe you could play these loops for some time, maybe 2 minutes then transition into Ziur!!!

That sounds really good to me!

  • Man I got to say and I think many who hear you would agree, that your talent has reached such a high level that just playing ordinary guitar is not part of what you do. You're doing more magic than anything else. Keep it up for your self and of course for us who never stop being amazed.

    Much respect from Palestine.

  • @bara2aslih32 Thank you very much!

  • @bara2aslih32 agree , and am a palestinian too :)

  • Dear Maneli,

This is incredible man, wow! You're a true virtuoso. I just saw on another video of yours where you mentioned that you were recovering from tendinitis in your right arm. May I ask if playing in this style is easier for any tendon related issues? Thank you and take care.

  • @NakedSuits Thanks for the kind words. Playing guitar in general doesn't help with tendinitis but you know what, I was misdiagnosed I think. It had mostly to do with my posture when I play. Too much pressure on my shoulders and they were always contracted which resulted in a pinched nerve.

  • @maneli Thanks Maneli. Continued health and success to you

  • I love this !!! Headed straight over to itunes :)

  • @55ella2007k Sweeet!

  • beautiful legato with the left hand..

  • @CKChardrocka Thanks :)

  • awesome job buddy.

  • Steve Reitch, Phillip Glass, John Adams, Michael Baker, Maneli. Great work, you are in fine company.

  • @bloodandwinearered Haha not sure if I really belong in that list of geniuses..

  • @TakasugiHizaki Gracias.

  • 1:38-the end is AMAZING

  • how are you gonna play this live?

  • @ohmysparticus I can't.

  • @maneli That's a defeatist's attititude.

    Simply grow more arms...

  • @moooocat Haha, how much I start playing with my feet as well?

  • @maneli Boss RC-50 Loopstation FTW!

  • @maneli You can maybe get other guitarist friends involved if you would be up for that sort of thing. In any case this was another wonderful addition to your other awesome videos and I really enjoyed it. Thank you and keep doing what you are doing!

P.S. congrats on getting on the Cole and Clark. I hear they are wonderful!

  • @ohmysparticus Yeah thats a good idea for sure but this song is so similar to Ziur which it is based off.

  • @maneli I just checked out Ziur. Cool stuff! But still I would really pay to see you and maybe another gutiarist and some guy on the cajon. I really like the new experimentation that you did with multiple shots and multiple guitars. It would be really cool to see multiple instruments next! As I am sure you play more than just the guitar :)

  • @maneli Loop Pedal...

  • @maneli seems like all you need is a percussionist to be able to play it live

  • @maneli If you did want to though, you could probably change it to be more of a minimalism sort of thing. Then if you wanted to play it live, you could play it like Stefano Barone does Minimalaction! :)

  • @maneli Who cares whether it's live or not. As long as somebody has got a fairly decent stereo system, it's like a front row seat without any of the disruptions of live performances, where the acoustics mostly suck anyway :)

  • @maneli ya u can Maneli, just get the loop equipment (e.g. Gibson Echoplex, what Keller Williams uses) and u are good to go. that would be awesome live!

  • @maneli

    Loop station.

  • @maneli

    Loop station.

thats how you can do it live.

  • @ohmysparticus He could just use a loop machine and use it on stage, ya know, just an idea.

  • It sounds like an acoustic TOOL song if you ask me.

I like it alot.. Very nice man!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NihilithMusic Thanks man! I love tool :)

  • @rasandoval77 woah now lets not get all aggro about a youtube comment i enjoy the music at least as much as you do so calm yourself and focus on the music ya?

  • simply, awesome.

  • Great to see another fantastic video from you Maneli!

Your guitar playing is completely awesome.

  • WAW! *CLAPPING*

  • Nails on your right hand are intentionally this long to use as picks?

And, great piece of music anyways :)

  • @jcz1996 Thanks! Yeah, most progressive fingerstyle players have nails for the crisper tone.

  • Damn!

  • Awesome! As expected o/

Keep up with the good work bro. Do you have tendinitis ?

  • @ShuHikari Thanks! I was misdiagnosed I think. It was posture related with some nerves in my shoulder / neck area being pinched.

  • amazing as always :D

  • i always enjoy your music brother , you are maturing musicly every song =) you may have the most crisp , clean , sharm tone i have ever heard on youtube man the quality blows me away , peace n love

    -Trentyn
